In Spain this game is titled "Don Pepe y los globos" (Mr. Pepe and the balloons), I never understood why it was named like that, now I know why 😂

Because they was translated from the english Eric and the floaters for the ZX Spectrum, not from the Japanese Bomberman for MSX. And the name was "Pepe y los globos" not Don Pepe.

But you're forgetting Bomberman Online on the PC and Bomber Girl on the arcade Bomber Girl is a spin-off of the official Bomberman series. Bomber Girl is a popular arcade game that started service in 2018 and is still being developed and operated. By the way original Japanese version of Bomberman 64 (1997) is not called Bomberman 64. The official name(JPN) of Bomberman 64(1997) is Baku爆 Explosion ボンバーマン Bomberman.

You seem to have the wrong game in for what's labeled as Bomberman GB. I understand that that was the Japanese title for what became Wario Blast worldwide, with GB 2 dropping the 2 for its own localization, and the former game only had you fighting other bombermen (or Warios, depending on which version you played and who you selected).

The super bomberman games and the sega megadrive and Saturn games are the best n my opinion the 3d ones are ok but there are a lot of them wich are just remakes of the first bomberman with better graphics
