I don't know if you've noticed, but if you have, the startup sounds of Windows 11, Windows 7 and Windows 95 look like evolutions of each other. Windows 95 boot sound is like the microsoft sound, Windows 7's boot sound is like an evolution of the microsoft sound, and Windows 11's boot sound is like an evolved version of Windows 7's boot sound. I compare these three sounds to each other.

Just hearing that XP startup and Vista startup makes me feel so nostalgic from back when I was a kid, being a full grown adult I still have my copies of XP, Vista and 7. I even collected all their versions over the years. It's a shame Microsoft no longer supports these works of art.

When I say I collected their versions, I'm referring to Home, Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate for Vista and 7. As for XP I am only missing the Professional versioon. I have no use for these operating systems as they are no longer supported by Microsoft so they just sit there on my shelf.

I still remember the Windows 7 cartoon wallpapers, my favorite was the one with dinosaurs riding turtles in a Candy Crush-like world.

@@hega5hondait uses the vista/7 one The biggest confusion with the 8,8.1, and 10 startup sounds is that they are disabled by default This led a lot of people to mix up startup sounds with other sounds in the system files and other animations made by Microsoft (ahem Windows Server 2003) When I had Windows 10, I had to enable the startup sound using the registry After I did, I was very confused when the vista/7 sounds played

I miss my Windows 7 computer

sad story: my mom bought a windows 7 for work and when i was born in 2011 she gave it to me and she used to take pictures and videos of me when i was really young with her nokia and move them to the windows 7 so that laptop had all my life photos form 0 to like 10 but sadly in 2023 the hard disk of the laptop got corrupted so that means that my whole childhood will be gone if it doesn't get fixed 10 years of my life are just gonna get deleted we took it to a professional but he couldn't do anything then we took it to another professional now it's still there i lost all hope please pray for me

Had a windows 2000 family desktop computer before Vista came out. That was the shit

5:39 - man, until now, I COMPLETELY forgot that, every time you'd click on the "shutdown options" screen on Windows XP, everything behind it would turn black-and-white. Not since 2007-08 had I seen that.

I’ve been on Windows 98, Windows 7 and windows 10 which is what I currently have. It’s crazy because when your on Windows 98 you can literally see every pixel on the screen of the computer with it. The biggest change was this ⏳ to this 🔄 when loading

Nope. Windows 8 and 8.1 use the windows 7 startup sound. You're thinking of the logon sound. You need to enable it in the sound properties dialogue in the control panel.
