Looking back at 2013 roblox when I joined and looking at it now, it's incredible how far roblox has come and how much it grew. Unfortunately, they became a money-hungry cooperation which made roblox lose its value. Plus what is up with these updates recently for the past few years? Unbelievable.

Roblox has had such a huge impact on my life, its insane. I started playing roblox around the time it came out, and to see the og trailers again for the first time in awhile brings tears to my eyes. Retro roblox will forever be one of the best times in my life, and I'll cherish those days till the end

it's really cool seeing how roblox grew from a niche (and really unstable) physics sandbox to the giant that it is today critiquing the community does not make sense as communities becoming naturally more hostile as they grow is a phenomenon that isn't unique to roblox - it applies to every community on any game or piece of media

I remember when Get Eaten was more popular, I was 5 yrs old in 2015. That was the first game that I ever played in Roblox. Playing that game brings back the memories from the day I started playing Roblox.

17:30 i remember making my account and this trailer played on the sign-up screen. this was around the time when i used a laptop my dad got from the college he worked at and it’d erase all the data once powered off and restored to a certain point. It’s very nostalgic and makes me teary eyed lol very good times

17:00 The 2011 "Be Anything, Build Anything" trailer was the most hype for my childhood. The trailer claimed "It's free!" and it truly was. Tickets (Or Tix) were able to be converted into Robux, and you were able to fit in with everyone else because most of the created games gave you the ability to customize your character just like everyone else, with how simple everything looked and was where nobody paid any mind to what you looked like. Now games revolve around kids with Hypebeast, fake jewelry, corny idle/walking animations and Morphs that don't even look like Roblox characters, where you are forced to pay money as they took away Tickets and thus kids will be absorbed in making fun of "Free to Play" looks. I don't take away from how amazing the creation options are, but at the same token; so many new games on Roblox that bury all the old stuff so kids join with no knowledge of how things originated, giving them this immediate loss of dopamine being thrown into everything they could want, where the last thing they could do to grasp that dopamine effect is to pay real money. You can never bring back history, I've seen childhood games of mine that get shutdown and fail when they relaunch, so it's better to appreciate being that small community of people who got to be a part of something amazing that others will hear about but never know about. Videos are nowhere near the same as actually being a part of the experience. I won't example what it was, because everyone has a different view of what they thought was "The good times"

I remember seeing the "What will you build?" ad in 2012 and I was immediately hooked

Online Social Hangout: By far the most charming trailer in my eyes. The music is intense and exciting, not super professional, but super charming! 2011 Trailer: Uh, it exists, I guess? I appreciate the excitement of the announcer, but the overall trailer seems like it's trying WAY too hard to be cool. Still a bit charming, but not in the same "this is where the cool kids hangout after school!" way. What Will You Build?: Tom Built the Eiffel Tower... I guess... This trailer has the exact opposite problem of trying to look way too professional and not fun enough. There's no liveliness to it. Xbox Trailer: Okay, I guess. It technically does what the Explore Roblox and Online Social Hangout does, but where those trailers were charming, this one is a tad boring. This seems like something I'd see on the Xbox store, only to move on without paying much attention. Roblox Anthem Video: While many people seem to dislike it, I actually enjoy it! It doesn't showcase any real gameplay of the games featured, but I appreciate the creativity (even though they technically got the colors of the noobs wrong.) I like the creativity. 7th Annual Bloxy Awards: Just had to include this, not because of the contest itself, but the trailer was goofy and charming. 2020 Roblox Trailer: Oh boy do I have thoughts... There's this music filled with awe and amazement, but it just doesn't really fit. They treat the platform like it's some elusive discovery, when in most if not all of the games featured you'll find toddlers and trolls. I could say the same about the others, I could even say the same about the first Roblox trailer, but there's something about this trailer in particular that, while I'm happy to have, just doesn't work.

i joined in 2015 when i was about 9 yrs old, im 16 and a junior in highschool now. 7 years of playing roblox. one of my favorite games at the time had to have been roblox top model

feels weird hearing What will you build normally rather than the memed version.

I joined around 2015-16 I believe. Or even earlier. But the fact how they’re gearing for a more realistic approach of the game shatters my heart. This isn’t what Roblox is.

17:00 This was the first trailer I've ever seen on Roblox. However, it took me quite a few years later to actually play it. (in 2014) My parents used to be quite hesitant about the game since it was being advertised on sites like media fire. (Not exactly the most friendly of places so they understandably thought it was a virus or something, which obviously it wasn't.) After that, I began hearing more about it from my time in elementary school peeking my curiosity to see what's up! Now I'm almost an adult. Tix no longer exist, scam bots are flooding everywhere... It's crazy. I'm just glad I got to experience Roblox when I did, a lot of kids now don't know what they missed. Haha!

I created my account on januray of 2013, however i touched roblox a little before that as a guest I remember playing this parkour game based on wipeout.

yes but in 2011 tix existed and they were free, you got 10 per day and 1 per place visit, also 1 tik = 0.1 ROBUX so you essentially you got 1 ROBUK per day

I remember playing as a guest, it was so much fun. I didnt know how to make an account. And then when the guest turn into Robloxian, i was shocked and thought somebody bought it on my account. And the first time i made my account, i was so happy. And got my first robux from that one grandma game that actually gives robux. I wish i can go back to the old times

Not worth the 1000 USD in my opinion even back then ROBLOX wasn't the happy-go-lucky as everyone expected, exploiters, ODers and the toxicity have been around the website and still is today.
