Yea he’s awesome. Definitely one of the best characters who was labeled “evil” when all he wanted was a way out. His character development has been really smooth since season one and he’s played a huge part in the last 2 seasons of the show. Hopefully he comes back or we at least get a cameo.

Best twist ever! "Evil" Morty was never evil. He was just smart enough to realize that the only way to win the game against Rick was to leave the game entirely, no matter what the cost.

Excelleng point! I should have said that his MOTIVATIONS were never evil. He didn't want world domination, he didn't want to destroy the universe, etc, he just wanted out. But, yeah, the actions he took to achieve his non-evil goal were definitely evil. @@tnecniw

One thing that i like, and i bet a Lot people also like about evil morty's storyline is that it escapes from that cliche of the supposed villian that has a dark past with someone, in that case, rick. And now, wants revenge. Instead, they chose to make him to be a revolutionary in a Society that oppress him about his position as a morty. Using rick's own integilence against them as a way to obtain his freedom. His actions are motivated by the fact that he is the only morty that become so tired of the typical "rick makes mistakes and morty always forgives him in the end" and decided to do something about It. Most would assume he is a villian, but for me, he is more like a anti-hero.

3:57 no this was a huge plot point that should’ve been more delved into, for one thing that makes perfect sense for Rick, and all the other Rex to close them selves off from the universe where they’re not the strongest smartest most dangerous. So hundreds of thousands of millions of millions of ricks(who am I assume after decades are dead at the hands of OG Rick who was trying to hunt down the killer of his family) direct we see are the what’s left. And now the central finite curve has been broken I can’t help but wonder what other threats are out there for Rick to face. This could’ve been a plot points for season six but wasn’t sure at all

I wish we got to see more cop Rick because he was the only Rick who had a moral code

What I remember about the rise of the evil morty was how badass it was

It begs the question, was there an actual good reason to why the central finite curve was created? It's entirely possible that Rick deemed there to be greater threats than him if say Hitler was the smartest man in the universe as an example, or even some cosmic level threats. Imagine if Mr. Frundles was the smartest being in the universe. So, what I'm saying is he might have created the central finite curve so he can control what can come in and out of these universes in the curve, and to make sure any beings smarter than him can't cause mass destruction on a multi-universal scale.

Good insight. Remember however, in infinite universes there are infinite universes where Hitler _is_ the smartest man in the Universe. Then that of course spins you away with "If your Universe's Hitler is the smartest man, then does he engage in the same activities as our Universe's Hitler only in a smarter way? Or does he behave differently. Unanswered in Rick and Morty with all the different Ricks is what constitutes "a Rick"? I'm going to risk invoking *The Ship of Theseus* and asking the question, at what point would a different Rick tip the balance in favor of being a "someone other than Rick"? And so it goes.

I think as always, there is actually a positive emotional component driving this. For me Rick did this to block out all the smart Ricks from hurting the families of the ordinary Ricks on the other side. Basically allowing those Ricks a normal life (whicg our Rick was actually not just content, but happy with).

Maybe Evil Morty was his "adopted" Morty, cause his real Morty is the one we see with Rick c137.

Something I think really contributed to the downfall of this show was their desire to not involve too much continuity. There obviously was some present, but there should have been more. At least two episodes per season of legitimate continuity.

@@spleey too late. The show still sucks. And what's the point of the show anymore if Rick accomplished his goal of getting to Rick Prime. The new episodes steel feel like a drag. The Jerrick Trap epsiode almost felt like a season 6 episode. How Poopy Got His Poop Back was also a dull episode simply to bring back an obsolete character after how many seasons since he was shot? Not to mention it doesn't even make sense given the whole family left the reality that episode occurred in. If anything came from the show now, it's that they turned Evil Morty into an actual antagonist that Rick tries to pursue next.
