This was such a good episode. So many people continue to judge others by their past when all they are trying to do is change their future. I’m a very strong believer in giving people a second change but unfortunately In life not everyone feels this way and people continue to throw the past in peoples faces even though they are no longer that person. I really do hope some of those people see this and change their perspective. Even if it just changes one persons perspective that’s an incredible change.

So happy Frank got to turn his life around. If it's true on the part where they do classes at the prisons to help inmates get degrees. That's a nice program. They should also have letters of recommendation from their lawyers to help them get jobs so they don't have to get turned down from job opportunities

This video explains why the "once a criminal, always a criminal" notion doesn't hold up. Especially when that criminal is just someone who fell in with the wrong crowd and was betrayed, working day and night to turn his life around. People change, like Frank did. It's just not good to reject someone just because they have a criminal record, especially if they're actively trying their best to start over and find a new life.

Companies are barring ex-offenders for even the most minor crimes (as if one mistake defines their entire life!) while ignoring the truth and brushing their words off as lies. I get it, the school might've assumed Frank wouldn't be safe around the students, but they shouldn't just dismiss him as trying to gain sympathy points. I don't get it why many employers immediately reject someone just because they checked "yes" for having a criminal record (everyone makes mistakes, even criminal mistakes, and even then it's likely they learned their lesson and worked to get their life back on track). How can we demand people live quietly if _we're_ the ones who aren't allowing that by refusing any kindness to those people?

my grandma is actually in prison from shooting someone she’s supposed to get out in June after she gets heart surgery bc in prison all she ate was Popeyes and kfc she might be able to turn her life back around even if she is in her 50’s
