I love it when a plan comes together...lol (a little A-team reference). I'm so happy that Shiyi/Lingyi finally exposed all of Lianfang's evil deeds. It was high time the great Madam to fall off her high horse. She spent all that time protecting Lianfang only to find out that she backed the wrong person. She was so fixated on Lianfang's birth status that she completed disregarded all of her crimes. It's only because Shiyi/Lingyi brought irrefutable evidence to her that she's forced to accept the truth. They had to go through great lengths to convince her that Lianfang has an evil heart. The great Madam put so much stock in birth status that she completely forgot that character matters most. This is a slap in her face and it's well deserved. She should feel really stupid right about now because she put her precious grandson's life at risk by entrusting his care to Lianfang. She also risked the entire Xu family. Lianfang actually believed that she was a match for Shiyi....lol Shiyi is a master strategist and Lianfang can't hold a candle to her.

Si pero la abuela continuará sin ver lo buena que es siyi. El personaje de la madre de él también es maléfico, gracias a la nuera la salva de la muerte. Es un drama perfecto. Tiene de todo drama misterio y romance, aunque este faltó un pokito. Creo que a siyi le costó enamorarse de él. Aunque él no fuera con las concubinas y la defendiera siempre, había una sombra q no la dejaba entregarse a él. Faltó un pokito de pasión x parte de ella. Pero aún así la encontré buenísima, digna de verse varias veces😂😂

@@pilarcapella4463 Shiyi had a lot of preconception to overcome where Lingyi is concerned. Every encounter they had prior to their marriage left a bad taste in her mouth so she was very standoffish when it came to him.. plus she only married him so that she could find her mother's killer.. she thought someone from the Xu family was responsible for her death...so she wasn't going to trust them easily. She also has daddy issues....she was never protected by her father...he let his wife torture her and her mother.. so she has trust issues especially where men are concerned. Every time he defended her or stood up for her...she was always caught off guard.... because she's never had that before. Her actions towards Lingyi and the Xu family shows how much she loves him. Her love is shown through the little things she does for him.

She's also very wise. She knew the great Madam wouldn't believe her so she had to endure the criticism and judgment in order to stop Lianfang. She's the perfect match for Lingyi

When she thinks she's winning and is going to get away with literal murder she's cocky and decisive, but as soon as the Marquis showed upand she realised he knew *exactly* how evil she was and she couldn't gaslight her way out of consequences anymore and immediately goes into misunderstood victim mode on the off chance being a 'poo helpless female' will work to her advantage even a little bit, especially since it's worked from day 1 with GM being wrapped around her little finger because of her 'impeccable upbringing'.

Loved that episode, as the truth came out and the concubine fell for the trick

My favorite part was watching the great Madam eating crow....lol They tried to tell her that Lianfang was behind Zhun's illness but she wouldn't listen. Lingyi tried to warn her that her trust in Lianfang was misplaced but she wouldn't listen. She covered for Lianfang on numerous occasions. She excused her behavior while looking down on Shiyi. Now she's forced to deal with the fact that Lianfang killed her late daughter in law and her unborn child not to mention her other sins.

Even after finding out all the that this favorite had done the old matron never learned her lesson.

@@fahadmborabien6609 yes but it takes Shiyi willingness to sacrifice herself to save the Xu family that changes her attitude. How many times have Shiyi saved the family? Yet, she was never satisfied until she sees that Shiyi is ready to die for them. I'm glad she had a change of heart but it was a little to late for me.

The matron is the most hateful character in this drama. Too bad her character wasn't killed off. What a wretched person. But her selfish son is no better

@@LiukinYu I agree....the GM caused so many bad things to happen to the Xu family because she trusted the wrong person/her prejudice against Shiyi didn't help....from the moment she gave Lianfang the control over household affairs it went downhill from there because Lianfang used this to plan all of her schemes....because she knew the old lady would cover for her...and she was right...even at the most crucial time when Zhun was being poisoned she still protected her...even after Shiyi produced evidence that Lianfang was behind Zhun's illness. Lingyi/Shiyi knew she wasn't going to stop trying to protect Lianfang unless they had solid evidence that she couldn't dispute. It's a bitter pill to swallow but her negligence caused so much damage to her family...and now she sees the person she trusted the most betrayed her at every turn. I'm so glad they hit her in the face with reality/she had to accept the fact that she contributed to Lianfang's reign of terror.
