more mind boggling thing was that one company in Indiana, stone producing company, did a calculation based on the fact that limestone and granit were used in building pyramids. They came up with the result that combining the efforts of all the stone producing companies in Indiana would take them around 200 years to build one pyramid today.

I think the reason most people hated history in high school was because teachers hardly ever pointed out the parallels between historical events and ideas to our everyday lives today. Kids would always say "why do we have to learn about stuff that happened so long ago that has nothing to do with us, now". The simple animation of things makes history seem somewhat more relatable than flipping through a textbook full of black and white photos and arguably the most important trait to exercise while studying history is empathy; putting oneself in the world of the past as best as possible in order to draw a connection to where we are today and why

The problem with pointing out parallels with modern day is the fact that if we look at stuff with nuance, we would realize that history never really went away. We are doing a lot of bad historical practices, only under a different name and scheme. Even in modern day, we have concepts like countries doing a modern version of colonialism under the threat of sanctions, invasions for unfounded fears, wartime brutality (except with more destructive weaponry), co opting modern day slavery (by doing business with countries/companies which have such worker abuses), denying pay to workers (wage theft), and so on. To portray our modern day society as a "beautiful, advanced, society", we prefer to look away from the evils. That is why no one wants to draw parallels from history, especially when teaching kids.

Mario Collepardi, an Italian Prof. (studied specifically the architecture of the pyramids,) emphasises that the Pharaohs brought the limestone dust available a lot in their area, mixed it with normal soil. Then they added water from the river Nile and lit fire to a temperature up to 900 degrees Celsius. This heat gave the stone strength and a shape similar to natural rocks. Basically to build massive buildings such as pyramids they mainly used the normal mud available near the River Nile. Then mixing it with water, placing it in templates and finally lighting the fire until it solidifies and stones are shaped the way we see today. This idea does not cost a lot of effort because workers will not carry and raise any stones, all they have to do is to make the templates in which they pour mud and transfer mud from the ground and raise them in small containers. Each worker carries a container with mud to fill the templates. Then comes the process of lighting fire until the stone is shaped and stayed in place, making sure by this way that there are no spaces between the stone and the other. Using this method helped in keeping the pyramids safe for thousands of years.

The most evidence based approach I've read was they formed the Rocks on site. The only possible explanation that considers the timing, the amount of workers, amount of stone, and distance from quarrys and such. There's proof of wood in the granite stone in some of the other pyramids (there as a mold). The only reason it's not talked about is because the egyptologist does not even want to consider it as a possibility. I think it's because they want it to be a super spectacular thing their ancestors did something like carry millions of pounds of stones across the desert. No matter how they did it, it's still amazing, but if you really want to know how the pyramids were built look into the pyramid stones being built on site. It makes so much more sense

Not really. Because starting down the road of precision is actually shockingly easy. You just need 3 metal or stone slabs with which to rub together. Because the only common plane between 3 or more surfaces has to be near perfectly flat. These surface plates are literally the cornerstone on which all precision is based. For a full explanation watch "Origins of Precision" by Machine Thinking.

How some of the stones were cut from a quarry hundreds of miles away, and how the Japanese group were successful to replicate the methods that were of the ancient Egyptians, but failed to actually replicate the pyramid in its entirety. Ultimately that was their goal and could not deliver. Not to mention the construction of the other pyramids after the 3 great pyramids were lackluster and some just incomplete.

I’ve seen dozens of “experts” since then making wild inaccurate guesses about the construction and movement of the monoliths. Similarly, in Egypt, the vast majority of the population were agricultural workers, who didn’t have much work for 8 months of the year while plants were growing.

Also, the Great Pyramid is 1/3rd a limestone hill. And the interior is just rubble and limestone mortar. Only the outer layers are blocks (very crude randomly sized blocks). Only the final visible layer used to be very meticulously shaped (most of that layer was stripped) So it's not made of 2.3 million blocks. Also, that limestone mortar has bits of organic material in it. If what you say is true, how would it possible for that bits of organic material captured in the mortar to be younger than the mortar? Also, some pieces of wood splinters (from wood used during construction) was sealed in the Pyramid, how come these have the exact same carbon dating as the organic material in the limestone mortar?

The reason they were so advanced was because people before them used to live to great ages. Adam lived to 930 years old. Imagine how much knowledge you can gain in a lifetime that long. Noah passed on his knowledge to the next generations and so on. Especially his knowledge of building. As soon as they came off the ark they built the Tower of Babel. Then they migrated to Egypt to build the Pyramids. The Pre-flood world was very different to this present world. I suspect there were many more megalithic structures, like the ones we see today. The ones we see today are the result of knowledge passed down from the Pre-flood world. We have no idea how advanced Pre-flood world civilisations got to...

I havee believed for years that the Egyptians found the Pyramids, not built them. Here’s why there are no hieroglyphics in any of the Pyramids on the Giza plateau except for Khufu’s pyramid, which is the largest. On the ceiling of a supported slab above the King’s Chamber is a cartouche (a Pharaoh named inside an oblong shape) made of soot from a torch, and I believe it occurred during the reign of Pharaoh Khufu. Why, because the only statute of Khufu ever found, which was in the approximate area of the pyramid mentioned above, is 2″ tall. Amazing convincing, right? The other supporting reason for my belief in 10,000 B.C.E. is the Sphinx. It was already ancient and covered by sand up to its neck around 1500 B.C.E. Once Thutmose IV removed the sand; he left a stele taking credit for uncovering the Sphinx. Now, it gets a bit more interesting. The Sphinx was originally a Lion; you can tell that the head is out of proportion to the body (very un-Egyptian) because it was recarved to a human head. Now, why was it a Lion? There’s a new area of study called Astro-archaeology; they reset the stars as they would have appeared at any time in the past; this is important because the earth’s rotation wobbles, called precession. Guess which constellation rose directly on the eastern horizon approx. 10,000 B.C.E. - in front of the Sphinx? Leo, and since precession causes the constellations to move across the night sky, it takes 26,000 years to complete one entire precession cycle. As humans, we are not able to notice movement in the sky that takes 26,000 years. Secondly, the limestone around the Sphinx carved out of a natural stone outcropping shows excessive erosion from centuries of water. The climate was much rainier, and the Sahara was considerably further away from the Nile than today. And that is why I believe the timeline of early civilizations is ever-changing and doesn’t reflect today’s school curriculum. In a way, it misleads; but, far more is becoming known of the pre-dynastic period of history all the time; it will catch-up And, Egyptologists are loathed to make adjustments to established, accepted timelines for various reasons; it’s a very young science and only recently has begun to rely more on technology to increase timeframes of their processes. Think of it as the ripple effect which ultimately runs through all contemporary cultures. Full disclosure: For several years, I wanted to study to be an Egyptologist and spent a great deal of time reading and researching to develop an extensive knowledge base of significant depth. Though, ultimately I did not choose that academic path

Just a thought on building these structures. Is it possible that the stones we mined, and crushed to powder. Then carried through the waterways to the site. There the powdered stone was assembled into stone blocks. Cutters and craftsmen where then used to place and build layer by layer. Also, it may be noted that the construction approach may be opposite to modern day construction, which focusses on build skeleton and walls first, thus creating rooms as a by product. In the times, once the architecture plan has been made, the entire space is filled with medium ( stone) only allowing for passages and rooms as the construction went on floor wise. This way maybe you can start the construction from below -5 and move upwards to 481 meter height. Each time the stone making machine is moved up a layer and the stone can be placed even at the height of 1000 meters perhaps even with tons of weight. The pyramid itself is designed to be lighter on the top, hence the structure should stand and as limestone hardens over time the structur gains in strength. No question of stone blocks being carried. I'm not an architect and study this subject deeply. Just curious like most folks.

How do you turn the "powder" into a solid block of stone? There is something people need to always keep in mind when tossing out theories: There's people who have dedicated their lives to the study of these structures and have been doing so for a LONG time. Assume that if you can just randomly think up a "solution" that they have thought of this as well, and if it's not the prevailing consensus, there's probably one or more glaring errors.

If I jumped in a time machine and travel back in time, first thing I would do is establish a precise unit set of measurements. Then I would create metal templates of these measurements and have craftsmen fashion their measurement tools off of these official metal templates. I’m guessing this is barely the Bronze Age. Really need steel in order to construct a rudimentary train system (the kind where humans still have to turn a wheel , but much easier than dragging it on wet sand. Would also build a rudimentary crane/elevator to haul stuff vertically using gears, wheels, and human power. I keep saying human power because I think a steam engine would be too much, although I think I could probably design one that probably wouldn’t be up to 19th century standards, but still able to output in-efficient mechanical energy by burning carbon enough to move a gear. Of course, I’m the equivalent of a weekend handyman. The question is, would the ancient Egyptians be in awe of me, or throw me off a cliff? Seeing that I’m learning while trying to reproduce this technology, I’ll probably end up killing a lot of folks like exploding steam engine, crane collapsing, etc.
