Evictions on illegally sold land in KZN

A portion of private land in Camperdown, KwaZulu-Natal has apparently been illegally sold by scammers. Victims claim to have paid between R50, 000 and R80, 000 for plots. eNCA reporter DasenThathiah is in Camperdown with the latest. #DStv403

I hope the first guy being interviewed gets his money back. This is an eye opener to those who are thinking about buying property in KZN. Many people dont realize that a PTO is not a title deed.Always make sure of what you are getting yourself into before purchasing.

The land issue is a burning issue here in South Africa. We cannot allow illegalities because the danger is people can claim your homestead telling you that they have bought it.South Africans should wake up and smell the coffee. Wrong is wrong and right is right.

Why is the government not sorting out the land issue, why have they been dragging out this process for so many years, it's an absolute disgrace, this is going to continue until people are given the opportunity to obtain land, those in office should pay dearly for their abject failures at the 2024 elections, but it's up to the people to make the changes that are so desperetly deserved.

Government have spent billions on land restitution- hundreds of farms in KZN have been handed over to previously landless people. This instant is completely different - a scheme put together by Land Claims Commission officials who have seen an opportunity to enrich themselves - and because the cops and the legal system are ineffective these thieves get away with crimes like this.

This land was bought by Milele Investments to construct a solar farm. The local land Mafia associated with The Regional Land Claims Commission invaded the land and started selling plots to all and sundry on the pretext that it was theirs to sell. All the deals are cash and false PTO’s are issued to try and legitimise the transaction. The Doctors who bought this land ( with Title Deeds that are registered in the Deeds office have every right to eject these illegal occupants). They must seek redress with the thieves who sold them the land).

The Deeds Office issue is a problem, people in the townships are at war with the Deeds Office for selling their properties illegally to foreigners while they occupy the houses and without them knowing of the sales. Foreigners produce legit documentation of transfer and they own up to six or more houses bought illegally. These doctors papers must be investigated too

This property was never claimed - it was free of land claims. Because it was not occupied the local land thieves targeted it - all unoccupied land is in danger of getting stolen in this area. They’ve even sold plots on SANRAL property and built houses - SANRAL were not exercising control so they lost it.

The Doctors bought it legally. I sold it to them, it is titled land with no land claim. They paid the previous owner and it was legally registered in the Deeds office by Conveyancers / Attorneys Mason Incorporated. The criminals sit daily under the Fig Tree on the main road selling to a gullible public. The police know what is happening but they fail to act against these criminals.
