All the people i know who watch YOI joke that I’m literally a real life yurio because i skate like him and look like him and act like him too lol but they mainly joke about it but i take it as a compliment and it motivates me to continue skating tbh

Like legit whenever Yuri appears on the screen, all of my attention immediately redirects toward him. Istg Yura's the sole reason I continued to watch Yuri on Ice, I just love that small, aggressive kitten so much xD

Sometimes people forget he was 15. Young and Chaotic and full of raging passion. Yakov was good for him because he understands where Yurio was weak at , he was good with Salchow but not with jumps and steps. Meanwhile Victor understood Yuri's emotions, because he low-key could relate to him. Yuri was never bad , he had more stamina then Victor and Yurio and his step sequence and jumps were good but mentally he was not in a good state and didn't realize his own character untill Victor changed that.

I honestly admire yurio.. Being a provider at such a young age is hard af and he dropped everything to focus on his career just so he can help his only remaining family. I think him being short tempered comes from the stress of working on winning, public image, and providing. For a 15 year old he sure do shoulders a lot and surely after being the bread of the family, he's used to shouldering and bottling up his feelings which i doubt will help his temper. I think Yurio's attitude make perfect sense from his background. I don't think he's a jackass for no reason.. More like doesn't know how to open up since he only open up to his grandpa and he haven't seen him for quite a long time- hes also busy with his career which means more practice and less interacting. I do think his character fits well irl. When your stressed your short tempered (i know i am) and when you have no one to vent it out you bottle it up till you explode. I think its second nature to yuri now.

My favorite character in yoi ngl. He doesn't hold back when there's something that he wants, and is true to his feelings. He's a cool beauty, lol like someone you wouldnt mind getting stepped on. I think I'd turn into a bit of a M for him 🤣 im a sucker for characters like these, wish there were anime that centered more around characters like him. Instead of making them side characters.
