So to add to my earlier question I am being told by more than one person that I should not be using a three-quarter inch mainline for 20 trees. I have all 3/16 drop lines from the tabs. What size main line should I be using. Thanks again Fred

Great video thank you so much so couple questions me and my daughter been doing maple in our backyard for a few years. I finally went to a three-quarter inch mainline. We have about 20 trees or so that’s what I was told to use and I have 3/16 lines from the trees to Saddle’s on the mainline. So I set everything up proper to use the vacuum. Do you think it’s worth me putting in an expensive diaphragm style pump to pull vacuum? Thanks Fred

So my question is this. How do I set up mainlines for a 3/16" collection system? Do I oversize the mainlines and run them on a 2-4% slope to maximize the drop in the lateral lines? I guess since the system is a wet system, a diaphragm pump would be the pump to get? Can I get a smaller pump since there is partial natural vacuum and still hit the 27"+ range?

7 years ago I retubed my woods with leader tubing the 30p and I made my drops out of a more flexible 1 they make within two years my tubing is white I can see right through it is white it also cracks and comes off the fittings my buddy about 20 miles away is having the exact same problem his is about 5 years old.I took down tubing that was 20 years old and that looked better than this looks now I've mentioned it to two different people from leader at my annual state meeting just two weeks ago I reminded the guy who sold it to me all I ever get is that sort of hum whole response
