Two cups raw nuts in a skillet. 1/2 cup maple syrup poured over. Medium high heat stirring continually. When it starts to crystallize, pour out onto parchment paper to cool. Small batches done each week so are fresh. We do four kinds of nuts. Very easy.

For those asking, syrup should be bottled at 180 up to a max of just under 190, fill it then cap, and lay on its side to kill any mold spores

Great video thanks so much and Building Main this year. So just curious some people say to put boards under the metal roofing some people say insulate the roof first. I see you have it right on the roof are you having any problem with moisture or anything? Thanks

Very nice seminar you are knowledgeable and experienced.with that said I disagree on your research with the two pipe lift method. I lift 300 taps well with it I use 2 half inch lines then 90 out top with one inch and into bottom 15 feet away from half inch.

So to add to my earlier question I am being told by more than one person that I should not be using a three-quarter inch mainline for 20 trees. I have all 3/16 drop lines from the tabs. What size main line should I be using. Thanks again Fred

Great video thank you so much so couple questions me and my daughter been doing maple in our backyard for a few years. I finally went to a three-quarter inch mainline. We have about 20 trees or so that’s what I was told to use and I have 3/16 lines from the trees to Saddle’s on the mainline. So I set everything up proper to use the vacuum. Do you think it’s worth me putting in an expensive diaphragm style pump to pull vacuum? Thanks Fred
