My brother and I still quote some lines from Real Genius to this day.

I enjoyed Real Genius growing up as a kid of the 80s. Its a Classic. A+

Great movie! Saw it in the theater when I was 16.

This movie is one of the coolest movies.. I went to a gifted dorks school, and everytime I watch this movie, when I see Kent, I'm reminded of these brilliant identical twins, that were literally the female versions of Kent..smart kids

So many awesome songs in that film. The students screaming from too much stress was something we did in our dorm during finals week. ;)

Just one of my all-time favorite movies. I use lines from it all the time. Thanks!

There was definitely a fun wave of movies in the 80's of boy geniuses. One of my favorites was Manhattan Project.

What a great film, thank you Martha for giving us this wonderful 80s gift!

A fun popcorn 🍿 movie from 1985. Watchable.

Chaz Jankel’s “Number One” popped up on my Spotify a few minutes ago, which sent me down a KZread rabbit 🐇 hole that finally led me to this great video 🤘🏾Well done! Be well fellow old dudes 🖖🏾

I'm no Mormon or anything but to this day I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the bowl full of Jell-O.

I love this underrated gem. The cast is awesome. The story is cool. Brilliant. I can't believe what they did with the popcorn house! Holy shit!

Why did Michelle Meyrink quit acting? She's great in this movie! Michelle could still have eventually gone into her current career in spiritualism.

real geniuses was a '80s movie I really enjoyed because my love of science at the time and seeing Val kilmer and Gabriel Jarrett play comedian geniuses was funny wholesome good time but I mostly watch it because of the science behind laser technology which I had a fascination from watching James Bond movies and other sci-fi shows this movie is what brought me more into studying science something I always not forget

How about a review on Roller ball, with James cann

I always felt this could have been a John Hughes movie

Nice one - thank you. I still love Real Genius and Top Secret (who doesn't?). If memory serves, Martha also directed the first episode of Alan Spencers surreal and still-terrific Sledge Hammer. "Trust me, I KNOW what I'm doing" - great!

Yeah, movies don't always translate well to TV shows. Both Animal House and Ferris Bueller had short-lived TV shows. They were terrible.

There's been talk of a remake lately. I'm glad they never did one. With the mindless WOKE Generation in charge it would be a bad movie indeed.
