    Thanks for the video! There’s a correction to be made around 3:13. Downward expansion doesn’t amplify, it takes quiet parts and makes them quieter (like a gate, as you mentioned).

    lol so much stuff you can do in ProMB I didn't know about, and I always sidechain the vocal to the instrumental to lower the instrumental , I never thought of doing the reverse where the vocal is BOOSTED based on the instrumental. mind blown

    I guess at 0:42 the knob is called "output" cos it amplifies or attenuates the ranges AFTER dynamics processing. Anyway, great video as always!

    Can someone tell only one good reason, why i should use mb compression instead of a dynamic eq like in pro q 3? They are literally the same..

    The Pro-Q3 dynamic section actually has a separate mechanism for overall loudness detection that adapts to the incoming input (= automatic threshold), then catches the top peaks of the affected region. It's different from what you can find in Pro MB and basically macro dynamic dependent (as it only affects micro dynamics). It really does work well in a lot of cases, and is just another flavour of compression.
