Drowned don't have a rare chance to drop nautilus shells, they have a rare chance to spawn holding one and if you kill them they will drop it 100% of the time.

@@bluemeiko yeah just fish for a hour or so. You'll have a library of books, Bunch of nametags, nautilus shells, enchanted fishing rods and bows and a trident. With the better fishing rods the fishing goes fast enough to not get boring. And you'll earn exp to fix your tools or to use for the books. It's a really multifunctional hobby. My base is next to the ocean so i go for some fishing every once in a while and make all the stuff to raid another ocean monument with a conduit on It's roof. Once you completed it the first time, you'll have plenty of blocks to setup the conduit every time on top, kill the guardians and loot the sponges. Having 2 stacks of sponges is really great after just 3 monuments.

Yet again, outstanding content. I’ve heard conduits mentioned hundreds of times, but never explained. I have an underwater monument right in front of my beach. I managed to get a little prismarine and gold blocks by chucking a ton of sand at it to make some air space and digging down into it to get stuff. I will go and get some more, and with all these guides you have made I’m sure I’m progressing so much more in the game than I ever have before. With my eldest the game was just get iron, get diamonds, go to the nether, go to the end, done. I’m really getting into this. Massive respect to the time and effort you put into these guides to make them as clear as day to anyone.

An easier way to find the exact spot of the buried treasure is looking at the chunk coordinates and going to 9 on both x and z (8 in BE) Edit: I realize now that in BE it's probably much more difficult than to go to the debug screen and searching for the "Chunk Coordinates" line. The conduit will activate will little radius but you'll have magic air and vision to finish the structure.

I love these things. Have a bunch of em. Use one every time I raid an ocean monument for the water breathing, night vision and a little extra mining speed thanks to mining fatigue III from elder guardians. Without fatigue and adding aqua affinity the conduit lets you basically instamine stuff underwater, as long as you’re standing on something and not swimming (kinda weird). Also have em scattered around the oceans and lakes by my base. Love that I get the effects when on land and it’s raining, makes the rain a little useful! Not only that, but it’ll kill a few drowned that spawn while I’m at base getting me some more shells.

It took me forever to realize that they were even in the game. Now I always put them in the water around my base in case I do any work underwater or in case I need to clear/mine an ocean monument.

I have a 4yo server with me and my 18yo daughter wife and various other family members. We have an area that has two massive mooshroom biomes with an end portal in-between them. I have 10 conduits an entire map of just ocean and two islands and you can breathe everywhere. we call the portal city that I built out of prismarine "atlantis" riptide III, elytra, fun times. Underwater glass tunnels connecting the surrounding 5 underwater monuments, that all lead to the deep dark cave below the one cave on the bigger of the two, and to the underwater end portal thats just about 15 blocks below seabed. Building the second megabeacon there soon.

If your planing on building multiple in the same ocean, don’t just wait till your out of range of the first one, count double that then make another so their ranges don’t overlap and you can use them most efficiently

The 3x3x3 centered on the conduit itself has to be water sources and cannot have any blocks in it, any thing placed inside would turn the conduit off.

Hey man is your video on how to raid an underwater monument still up to date in Java edition since the last patch where they removed the placement of doors for air pockets was applied in 1.18?

I've done a thing where if I'm going to an ocean monument when I might do is have a conduit or two and what will happen is that after I destroyed all the elder guardians, I will put it in the treasure area where the gold blocks are? Every time I pass by that ocean monument I know there's conduit power. So if I'm not sure if I conquered it I just need to swim up. And I always go in with my Trident which has loyalty III, channeling Unbreaking 3 mending and most importantly I got impaling 5. Although I keep forgetting I also have axolotls I need to make use of that

Can an underwater monument be underground in a ravine? I followed a map, and it's close to the ocean, but I can't find it. Map says it's under me, but I've been digging, and just found a ravine. 😟

The "red line" is actually part of the eye. When he broke the block you could see that it looked like it was closed.

Fun fact, easiest way to kill the wither in bedrock is in water. The conduit is great for this. Gotta spawn him under water. Its how i got my max beacon ez 😊
