not to be a downer but it’s literally a point in the movie that velvet is abusive to veneer?? she literally gaslights and lovebombs him after nonstop verbal abuse. okay yeah they’re good villains but PLEASE do not write siblings this way unless your intention is to create an abusive dynamic.

CinemaSins has a very good answer and points that not all relationships can be saved, sometimes to the individual figures things out on his/her terms or simple separate from the toxic individual. Love the movie series. But, it is becoming a recurring moment in CinemaSins to Poppy's Life Lessons are either half baked or missing a few things in the actual life lessons.

She only WANTS a sibling because Branch has them, and she CLEARLY isn’t at all lonely (she literally has over half the trolls to do her bidding and she already stated that she was happy with that.). Poppy puts herself into stupid situations that she has no remorse whatsoever except “It’s for fun” or “At least it was fun.” Poppy’s toxic positivity is how the ENTIRE TROLLS FRANCHISE BEGAN: She decided to have the biggest, the loudest, and the craziest party ever even though she knew her own species was in danger, plus potentially (and was in fact canonically) being hunted down or searched for by Burgens. Conclusion: Poppy is poorly written, making it look like she’s the villain to some people (including me).

Surprisingly I enjoyed this movie. The one thing that irks me is the whole "lost sister" bullshit. It was not needed at all. Bridget was literally fine enough for Poppy. They were both very cute and more close like sisters. If anything this movie should have been more on Branch and his brothers with Poppy being by his side supporting him.

Cannot agree more. I'm almost mad that I like this series, but I do. :-P I honestly think this one is the best of the three, though 2 had a good message. I was surprised at how much I laughed in the theater (as well as the other patrons) and I listen to the OST quite a bit. The boy ban puns were stupid, but I still laughed.

this films writing was worse tho and had less effort put into its character arcs to the point so much was left unanswered and the film's message is legit toxic.

DreamWorks made a THIRD TROLLS MOVIE instead of a Rise of the Guardians sequal. I'll just let that sink in for a moment.

I just don't think it's fair that Madagascar, Shrek, Kung Fu Panda movies, How to Train Your Dragon and Trolls all have sequals AND holiday spin offs! Why hasn't DreamWorks at least made a holiday short or something for Rise of the Guardians!? You have FOUR holiday characters in your movie, DreamWorks! PICK ONE!!!

As someone who's a trolls stan, this movie was amazing to watch in theaters. The ideas that I didn't like at first when I watched the trailer actually worked somehow in the whole movie for me

It's hilarious that he thinks Justin and Anna regret or dislike working on the trolls movies when in fact it's the opposite

Most bands usually play the same set every night that's determined by their light / sound /video setup. Unless they're capable of Phish style improv jams, that set isn't getting changed from show to show.

Definitely a movie I didn’t think I’d really enjoy but I did. Loved the entire soundtrack for the most. The compilation with the 3 brothers and poppy as well as the big song at the end against the villains were my favorite ones❤

1:55 I swear I watched this movie only because of that stupid mega pun line in the trailer and weirdly enough, i did not regret it... I don't know, I just have a soft spot for animated boy band parodies and the songs and cover remixes where legit fire here. Yes, I legit liked that movie and I'm not even pretending I don't. Pure fun entertainment with good music. Thats all it sometimes needs for a good time. 13:51 also sin for you for skipping one of the best scenes in the movie. I have not seen the first two movies before that one, but this scene represented well how long these two know and care for each other. In any other lame as movie he would have just pushed her away like an lame ass crybaby causing pointless extra drama, instead he apologize for even thinking that and making her know that he knows that she is always there for him. Quite a mature moment for such a "childish" movie.

A couple you missed 1)Grandma looks totally different between the first movie and now. Purple body with teal hair in the flashback of how he blames himself for her death, and in this movie she's pink with light lime colored hair. 2)Poppy has the rainbow highlights in her hair from the previous movie at the start of the movie, yet during the movie they suddenly disappear and its totally pink.

I actually like the villains for this film. Veneer is my fav of the two but I might be biased since that’s Andrew Rannells. But the final concert always gets me pumped for some reason (theirs not the trolls)

Can we get some bonus sins for the fact that the first movie made a biiiggg deal about “No troll left behind!!!!!” only for it to turn out a looot of trolls were left behind, just so they could give Poppy a sister

I saw this when it first came out in theaters, it was great!

The entire second movie WAS a metaphor for subjugating another race and co-opting their culture and talent. This movie seems to be about how you can overcome the trauma of total familial abandonment with a single group number.

The greatest sin of the movie, didn't even make it INTO The Cinema Sins. NSYNC was only in the movie for a few seconds, after hyping up the movie. Guess I AM the only one who was sad about that!

Some things are retconned, but singing until he grandmother died tracks. He only said that he was singing and a bergen found them and ate his grandmother. That could have happened after his brothers left him behind.
