In today's video we finally get to have a look at my Lamborghini Gallardo - and a few of the things which made it the cheapeast one on sale in Britain. The big bits of the car are good - engine and gearbox - but there's plenty else which needs fixing and as you might expect, Lamborghini prices are not cheap!

Interestingly one pre-video ad here was from a firm manipulating the odo (yes, to show a non-real km/miles). In the ad they then used and named Carly to prove their manipulation on the Bmw is undetected by service tech. What a sneaky ad-sense, right? If I were Carly, I'd not have them do that.

Wondering do you have proof that this is The World's Cheapest Lamborghini Gallardo (That Runs, And Isn't Wrecked), or is this just clickbait? Thank you, be safe!

To be fair it's easy to be honest if the owners are ready to pay for the repairs. Lots of tomfoolery arises when the owners try to cheap out.

I own a business of a completely different area, but I can tell you I get 80% of my work from word-of-mouth. The reason? I always thing of the customer FIRST, my profit SECOND. If you work on that system, the money WILL come in. As long as you don't price yourself into bankruptcy, you will be fine, and have a strong, stable business, as people will keep sending people your way (meaning you also have to do LESS advertising!)

They all fail with heat and age). It's not worth his time. He's comes across as arrogant, I think he knows a lot about a lot of cars and is charging accordingly but shouldn't be charging "a customer" $100s if not $1000s for simple fixes on an old 3 series. If you have seen the video, I'm sure you'll know what I mean.

Blue / Red issue... Back in the 90's I had the EXACT same issue with a Blue ford Escort, Did due diligence, HPI check etc, came back clean so I bought the car (from a dealer), several weeks later when pulling a trim panel out in the boot I saw red paint, Like you I was thinking of all possibilities, respray, primer accident repair etc, but again like you we were finding red paint everywhere. internally but all the doors / boot / bonnet had no sign of red paint. Eventually I was so concerned I contacted the vehicle crime unit of my local police station and voluntarily handed them the car to strip. What they found was shocking.... the shell was that of stolen red J reg escort which had the vin from a blue K reg escort stuck down over the top of the J reg vin so at a quick look there was no evidence of tampering with the vin, then all parts from the K reg fitted to the shell. After lots of investigation it was found the original K reg had been badly damaged but with no insurance claim hence not showing on HPI, then rebuilt using the stolen shell. Thankfully as I bought on finance from a dealer I was able to hand the car back !

Regarding the colour. Years ago we bought a new Reliant Scimitar . We specified the colour to be Burgundy with tan upholstery. After a few months we noticed that the paint around the drivers door edges was rubbing off to reveal white paint underneath. The factory had taken a car already painted white and repainted it burgundy in order to fulfill our order, instead of building a new car to our colour specification, presumably because as a low volume production model, this was financially better for the manufacturer. Probably the same thing occurred with your car!

For that gearshifter I think anyone with a lathe would be able to separate them and weld a new thread on the end of it (without changing the length of the shifter) and cut new threads into the shift ball. Potentially saving alot of money, and hey if it goes wrong you were gonna spend the £800 anyway.

Wing mirror story reminds me of a Ford Sierra I once owned. Everything kept breaking & it spent more time in the garage than the road. Just when I thought what else could possibly go wrong the electric mirror spat its self internals and all at my very feet. I still can’t believe it happened to this day if I hadn’t witnessed it I’d never have believed it self destructed.

Far from certain but underlying colors can have an effect on topcoats. I remember reading an article about 1980's ferrari's having bright yellow primer under the rosso corsa paint. I tried out some experimental samples when I was painting a motorcycle with some rattle cans and there was a marked difference in sunlight.

strange when looking at the red coming through that the clip holding a wire or cable has been painted blue, suggesting paintwork at some point. A HPI check doesn't guarantee a car has not been involved in an accident, if a previous owner was just 3rd party for instance or a track day car that has had a few off's etc both instances the owner would be paying for repair not an insurance company and therefore any major repairs will not be recorded on HPI.

@@DomzyDX it true, I've learned a lesson when in one of the cars I had to replace fan resistor, unbranded aftermarket was 40%price of original but it lasts for few months and the seller didn't accept return. So we decided with mechanic that it's not worth to risk again, so I bought genuine part which lasts till now and it's over 5 years already. If someone needs reliable car because they drive a lot I guess they will maintain the car properly. Especially oils, filters, brakes, tyres is not best idea to save on, because it will have influence on safety and reliability.
