The biggest problem I had is that the main hero, Rey, had ZERO character arch and has ZERO heroes journey. She starts and ends the trilogy as the most powerful person in any room and never evolved all that much as a person. She’s the best fighter. Best pilot. Strong in the force even thou she has very little training in it. Everyone likes her for no reason. She has zero temptation to the dark side even thou she’s the granddaughter of Palpatine for God sakes…..Why oh why was ANYONE supposed to root for her, again? She’s already perfect….Both Anakin and Luke struggle not only against external threats, but more importantly, internally. They struggle with what they want. Who they truly are and want to become and both fail numerous times throughout their journey. Both are very human heroes and the audience can connect with both and more importantly, want to see succeed. “Who are my parents” is NOT a character arch, Disney. And, am I the only one who finds it more than a little ironic that, a Palpatine descendant is now the owner of the Skywalker name………

Why didn't Luke sense Kylo's distrust and Snokes presence before? If your first solutation to a problem is to visit your best friends kid with any weapon you deranged & a bit crazy. In Episode VI Luke rather died to safe is father from darkness. Here Luke suddenly has forgotten what he did 30 years ago. Rey has to remind him. - They didn't show Luke's reaction to the Death of his best friend Han Solo - Than he comes to the most unfinable place in the galaxy to die but makes a few gags - the third lesson is deleted It makes no sense to say Luke always had darkness in him. 2:55 lore wise this would totally happen as it happened a lot during the Battle of Hoth offscreen and plus she's on Jakku, where all of the Empire fought All of the Rebellion in canon 20:43 no actually stuff like Tibanna Gas is used for fuel and the TIE's wings are actually solar panels 21:04 hey runs in the family 21:12 no but it kills Admiral Ackbar in the most disappointing way possible 23:05 a cycle refers to a day on a planet since all planets have different lengths of days 38:08 Lightspeed is a form of transport that sends the ship into an alternate dimension or if space was a flat sheet hyperspace is under it so it is possible to run into objects in hyperspace if they are heavy enough, so Hyperspace lanes are marked out areas of space that are safe for travel without anything deadly in way so lightspeed skipping is plausible but them not dying is stupidly unlikely, however TIEs following them makes no sense since they don't have hyperdrives 43:07 All this did was remind me why the prequels are better because of course C3P0 wouldn't be allowed to say a language that a large religion forbids at the time as Jedi and Sith languages do exist by why a protocol droid of all things know what said language is if you don't want people to say it 46:18 I can never unsee the fact that the Knights of Ren's weapons look so fake here 48:30 Jeez once you notice that Ren doesn't even need to dodge because Rey isn't swinging at him this scene just looks stupid 49:46 Fun fact, all the star destroyers in this film are just scaled up models from Rogue One and that includes the windows and bridge 51:56 I may have shown that some parts of the movie do somewhat make sense but this only happens with ion storms (nebulas that are electrically charged) 52:36 Ion cannons are blue, turbolasers are green and red, and mass drivers are either blue or orange, none of these weapons are ion cannons 52:50 just tilt the ship and that star destroyer in the back would be clipping into the command ship plus this would also imply the command ship would have turned 90 degrees as they landed 54:49 also how did Ben get here, he used a TIE/FN Fighter, a fighter notorious for a lack of a hyperdrive, no shields, weak to asteroids, and a complete lack of life support, so you're telling me Ben found a TIE Fighter and spacesuit that wasn't blown to bits from the Death Star, manage to travel 1000s of light years from Endor to Exegol without a hyperdrive, navigate the hellscape being basically blind from the Tie and suit, and made it there in less than an hour, he didn't even walk into frame from it 55:55 yeah but what about that other nav-tower on the ground 57:10 I'm pretty sure that Anakin was angrily digging up his lightsabers because its burried in sand of all things plus this scene disappoints literally all the og and prequel fans

How do you think he’s a myth?” Yes in all the history books she’s acquired on a dessert planet she’s been on by herself since she was a small child. Word of mouth is the only way she’s probably even heard of Luke in the first place, and given Rays limited scope of the galaxy, it makes sense she thinks a dude with magic powers is just a myth. Also fuel is a real thing is starwars. A huge struggle in building the original rebellion against the empire was quite the fuel required for a war effort because the empire control all the fuel mines and refineries. Also that tether on the tie fighter you sinned in force awakens is in fact a fuel line.

Soo... thing about the theory of Hyperspace (It's a real scientific theory that Star Wars used perfectly until the last 3 movies), is that technically while it is a form of FTL, it's also a concept most people fail to understand. What grants hyper space the advantage over Warp is that the ship in question electromagnetically vibrates at a harmonic resonance that is out of phase with everything around it. Making it effectively a form of "Vibro" technology where it's molecular mass is vibrating so fast and at a frequency that is different than normal matter, that it's atoms pass through other atoms not vibrating at the "normal" resonance of other celestial objects, which is in turn how a ship is able to achieve light speed. The theory is that by vibrating out of phase with most other objects it has a more efficient escalation to faster speeds due to a complete reduction of drag. That being said; jumping into and out of Hyper speed will allow a ship to ignore "most" other objects, except those objects that might have an energy field (such as a force field) that could resonate on or near the same frequency vibration. While they don't show it in the movie, it is possible for ships in hyperspace to actually collide, crash, attack, and even encounter other objects that may harmonically resonant differently than normal space time. Which is mainly why Hyperspace is NEVER used inside a planet, around stars, or more importantly as a weapon for crashing into other ship or through force fields. Because it's unknown what would actually happen in these cases, and it could very likely cause catastrophic problems for both the ships, crew, and anything else they encounter while in Hyperspace. ~ So what makes matters worse is that the writers of the last trilogy never bothered to research what the theory of "Hyper space" is, how it applied to the Star Wars universe, and just assumed it was "like" Star treks "Warp" technology and applied "Warp theory" to a completely different set of scientific rules. Which makes all of the Hyper space scenes absolutely ridiculous, broken and frankly "unrealistic" because "math" was apparently too hard.

That mention of Star Trek warp logic is most likely on point when you realize that J.J Abrams, director and one of the writers of 2 out of 3 films from that thrilogy, made 2 star trek movies before that project. The fact that he didn't make middle movie also kinda explains why some characters and storylines are magicaly missing from it, for e.g. Knights of Ren. It was writed and directed by different guy then the other 2, which just bringed even more chaos to that thrilogy.

Thrawn and the Chiss ascendancy keep to themselves unless they are threatened. The rebel alliance only wanted to fight the empire, nothing more. They would pose no credible threat to the Chiss so that theory doesn’t really work.

@@tsarnicholasii6679 We know from everything else in Star Wars that you need a clear path to enter hyperspace. The ship quickly accelerates before entering and could crash into objects in front of it. That’s why other than in TROS, no one ever jumps to hyperspace in the atmosphere of a planet or when a blockade of ships is in front of them. The Death Star was probably too big for any single ship to destroy it.
