that was probably the stupidest line.. I've never been on top of an elevator so i dont know WHAT they have for connections up there. Secondly, a big ring makes perfect sense for lifting and positioning and the weld is the most secure way of connecting metal pieces together. Were they supposed to lick it on like a fkn postage stamp? I'm sure the narrator thinks he's clever but obviously he doesn't have friends with critical thinking skills to edit these.

Maybe he's an engineer or had an engineer look at it (I'm a mechanical engineer), as the ring really does look like something quickly welded in place and clearly not capable of holding the weight of an elevator cab. Additionally, the metal plate the ring is welded to isn't bolted or otherwise fastened to the cab. It looks like it was simply set down in place and can be picked up and moved around by hand.

Speed is the most Keanu Reeves movie that ever Keanu'd. And this is in a world where Point Break, the Matrix, and John Wick exist!

Imagine the SWAT commander explaining that to the police chief; -Well, good news is that we did successfully evacuate all the passengers before the bus blew up, the bad news however....

I've always loved this movie and haven't seen it in years. Just finished watching it and the only thing wrong with this movie is that Harry died. For a movie with the right amount of balance in action, romance, and humor, it could have done without his death. But it was necessary for Jack to grow and solve the problem of getting them off the bus.

The GPS tracker emits a traceable signal that can be detected with a hand-wand. Very widely used, even in the 90s. To be sure the perp doesnt detect the GPS signal, it isnt activated at first... Typically.

2:15 Payne was able to monitor the bus from an apartment since he could make use of the bus' own radio relay network (which is how a bus can normally transmit to its HQ from anywhere in the city, and can explain how the video signal from the bus was able work so far away), where as transmitting from the core of a large of a building all the way to another building, would be far, far less feasible to pull off without someone noticing all of the extra equipment that would be needed to get a signal out of there.

This was the first movie I saw with Dennis Hopper in it. He played one of the most memorable action movie villains ever. RIP big guy

One of the best movies and it features one of the most beautiful creatures ever called sandra bullock.

The way his Lego-Yoda-esque scream keeps going AFTER his decapitation at 16:15 is just amazing, and deserved to have sins removed for it.

“Annie are you okay? Can you tell us, that you’re okay Annie” I’m dead! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Also, that wasn’t debris on the ground at the airport. It was bits of the punctured tyres ripping apart on to the ground.

What I love most about this guys videos is it’s never the time he says “18 minutes or less”

I remember finding this movie super exciting when it came out. This was the first time hearing of Sandra Bullock.

I have always loved the moment where the bus is cleared, we have an entire airport with lots of empty areas to move the bus too so it can blow up nice and safely - and we aim it straight at a multi million pound airplane. Just... because?

Yeah I remember the episode of Mythbusters and I'm still disappointed that Netflix did not have all of Mythbusters

When this was first marketed, I didn't even recognize it was Keanu Reeves. He was still strictly Ted in my mind and looked soooo different. Needless to say, a LOT of pictures of him went up in my bedroom as a teen after that. And I loved Sandra Bullock's outfit so much that I would occasionally wear dresses and skirts similar to it. My parents would call me Sandy Bullock whenever I did, lol.

15:39 Payne shot up the control booth, so the dead man shutdown / braking controls could have been damaged.

I am amazed he didn’t mention the scene where Jack catches up to the bus on foot, pounds on the door and fails to pull out his badge until after the bus drives away.

"There'd be a piece of sky missing!" - so...basically it'd become 'The Langoliers' with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.

Speed still holds up today and is a great example of classic storytelling

Jack never called anyone in the elevators or to chase the bus before it hit 50 cause he had to be the hero.

Despite being a sleeper hit. This movie still had some mistakes in it. When Jack & Harry rush to the 32nd floor there was a 3rd guy with them but after they enter the 32nd floor the 3rd guy disappears but comes back again when they grab the hook from the top floor then disappears when Jack is hooking up the Elevator. During Jack & Harry's 1st confrontation with Payne, Jack shoots Harry in the left leg but during the awards ceremony he's limping on the right leg then limps on the left leg again during their victory celebration at the bar. During the 1st bus explosion there's a van in front of the bus & is actually pulling the exploded bus. In the scene where Jack forces Annie to run the red light to drive on to the street, you can actually see a camera installed on the bottom left side of the bus. When Jack tries to stop the bus at the freeway accident area. He smashes the door window but it disappears until the scene where they're back on the 105 just before Jack gets to take an intetest in Annie. The part where the bus enters the 105 Freeway in the same scene you see the bus hit the brakes in front of the police car if you look closely on the side of the on ramp you can actually see a cameraman in the movie. Just when the police escort abandon the bus as it reaches the gap, when we see the gap if you look closely you can actually see the gap casts a shadow of a full bridge. When Howard tells Jack "I want you back real fast!" His lips are actually say "I want you back in 10 minutes!" After Jack gets off the bus to join the LAPD to try & dismantle the bomb. For a brief moment the left zebra bus poster disappears but then reappears during Jack's struggle under the bus. During the scene Jack & Annie finally evacuate the bus via access floor panel, there's a ring on his finger when the Jack character was not a married man, revealing that it was a stunt double also when they fully evacuated the floor panel had wheels when we saw no wheels during Jack's scenes under the bus. The scene at Pershing Square where Jack runs across the street to the garbage can the car that almost hits him is a Ford but in the next shot it becomes a Mazda. From the moment we saw that Payne has taken Annie hostage & hijacking a subway train, he's seen holding a pressure-release detonator, however in the close-up scene of Payne handcuffing Annie to the pole, the pressure-release detonator disappears and reappears on his hand til he loses his head. That would've been it for them. Finally, when we see for a brief moment the exterior of the Hollywood Station Construction, just before the subway car bursts out, we see that the station construction is enclosed but during the scene where the train lays on the right side & a crowd coming in to see what happened while the credits are rolling, there is no enclosure & you can actually see a train track in the middle of Hollywood Blvd revealing they didn't come from underground.

The timing of the bus bomb actually makes sense. The two years to set up the elevator bomb was the nonsense one. Source material for that? My father, who was a military drill instructor for demolitions. He also trained snipers later in his military career.

The Cameron as Mr Peterson voice over in the end scenes had me rolling laughing!!! 😆

Yeah too late for me. I fell in love with her in The Vanishing. A poor remake, but still not a bad movie. One of her first major roles.

They lie to their viewers about certian sins by just manpulating the sence they are showing. And no they are not satire cus they have real sins in with the "joke ones". I love this movie but I also love this video 😂 I just finished watching it and I did see flaws but since it's an old movie, I'll let it pass. Love Keanu and Sandy 😍
