From what I understand the cheap stand alone harneses are based on a car harness and not a truck harness. My factory harness was free and everything was correct.

$85 buck ebay harness, needs a little repining ….. saves hundreds of dollars but costs a little time checking all the pin outs

Thanks to your videos. I decided to use the factory harness in my 94 s10 swap. Instead of the cheap eBay

The factory harness is always a safe bet.

Your ECU doesn't handle reverse lights, so who cares. And I personally don't want the ECU to vary idle behavior based on gear, so I wouldn't hook that up anyway.

Have had several MAF and transmission problems with my swaps because of those cheap harnesses. Got a couple off Amazon too. Would you recommend a particular brand without breaking the bank like a $1000+ Painless. Pretty much something in the few hundred ballpark worth the money with the correct wiring? Good video to the point. Thanks👌🏼

The cheapest correct harnesses I've used are from psiconversion.com . They used to be in the $750 range, but most of their harnesses are down around $550 now.

Great videos has always. It's been a minute same I started watching again. What truck came with DBW 99-02?

The early version of DBW was an option ( I don't know why) on some Tahoe, Yukons and Escalades in 2001 and 2002.

You going to make another video on how to fix the new harness?

I was planning to, up until the missing PRNDL switch connector/wiring. I would have had to add a ton of wiring to include that switch since I use them and needed one for what the harness was for. It probably would have been $50 in new wire just to add that switch. I returned the crap harness and have another one on order that should have the switch wiring, but will still have connector mistakes, so I'll make a video when I fix the new one.

My friend, do you have the pin out diagram for the 6 pins throttle body connector?
