    I think the reason why so many people like this movie, including me, is because despite the beauty of it, it doesn't take itself too seriously. While so much hard work and time was put into it, its not perfect, even by 80's standards, and that's not a bad thing. That's what makes it good. It wasn't this big, huge, expensive movie that put intense work into the animation and puppetry, but rather a little funny and emotional story with cute little quirky characters and humour for everyone. No movie is perfect, I get that. No movie is ever going to be perfect. But this movie has something unique and special that you don't get in a lot of movies. And the soundtrack is absolutely beautiful, you can't sin that. The music is so fun and uplifting, it gets you dancing and I love that so much. This entire movie is just so amazing. Plus, David Bowie. David Bowie is always a win!

    @Rime_in_Retrograde

    bwc3821 'i' is just the letter used to denote an imaginary number. Example: square root of -16 is sqrt(16) times sqrt (-1), simplified to 4i. Also, sqrt(-16) times itself, and the sqrts cancel out, giving the real number -16. Hence my original comment/ joke.

    Kgcopper Don't worry I found you joke funny. bwc3821 You need to take some math classes. Imaginary numbers are an actual thing used by real mathematicians all the time, they allow you to take the square root of a negative number and if you have two imaginary numbers in a single problem you can combine them into a "real" number.

    xxsavagecherryxx I feel like a lot of it's contrived by deliberate misunderstanding of the classic folklore that Labyrinth is based on. I mean, it's not like the backstory is hidden. Also, it's half the 'sins' were based on the premise that the Labyrinth is some kind dream or hallucination. Given that's it's a fantasy film that's not even trying to pull the 'it was actually a dream' twist, is it too luch to approach the movie as if there was actually adventure in another world? This is fiction for a reason, folks.

Hope that cleared it up. I wouldn't be surprised if I did write this when I was half asleep, wording my thoughts gets quite a bit more difficult. Like right now. Sometimes I stop and can't remember what word I was going to use, and I can't grasp the flow of the sentence easily so that I can adequately write down my thoughts...

    +ShadowVincent3 They're upset about the loss of Bowie, and it's spilling over. I admit even though I love this channel and everything it does, I winced whenever they directly sinned/criticized Bowie. Yet, it's that very need to see some Bowie that makes you seek the video out. Catch 22.

    +CanCanKant Dude, I agree. I watch this channel all the time, I get their brand of humor, I know how it works. I was just explaining that if you viewed it within 48 hours of Bowie's death it tended to effect you differently.

    +Stephanie G Pretty sure +31webseries was just addressing the original comment. He was wondering about the sudden rush of negative comments, and they just pointed out that people were super upset after Bowie died, sought out anything with him in it on YT, and cringed a little at the Bowie sins because at the time they were grieving.

    "Pfft. He's only a half brother." They said that in the Bible, and the half brother in question became the de facto ruler of Egypt and ended up in a position to get revenge on his half brothers who screwed him. Granted, he didn't go through with it, but still; bad idea to screw over a half sibling for being a half sibling.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that Jareth falls in love with Sarah even though she does almost nothing but whine and I guess look pretty throughout this movie. Jeez, if I had known that kind of behavior would help me get a man like David Bowie, I would not hold it in when I'm having PMS.

    This movie is flawless and I love it. Of course the only truly thing wrong with it is that once you hear the songs you won't get them out of your head, and also...it's interesting when you see there is a human world equivalent of Jareth in some of Sarah's photos, which has a Captain Hook/Mr Darling vibe to it.
