Never intended to make one for Second Son. It already exists. Nor did I intend to make any EWW videos beyond First Light.

Fetche's backstory did confuse me. I was wondering about that as well. I have my own theroy though. Fetchs mind is unreliable. She's obviously a little off the wagon. So when deslin read her mind in second son, maybe thats how she actually remembers it. I know, it sounds stupid and confusing. It sounded better in my head lol

If only Sucker Punch was confident when making Conduits. They could of made it seem that Cole could absorb the electrons moving in electricity. Also, characters like Alden and Bertrand would have clear, defined abilities directed to forms of matter: Alden showed to telekinetically move metal, so why not be a metal Conduit? Bertrand was able to manipulate the genetics of individuals, turning them to monsters of varying sizes and abilities. Maybe he could have been a DNA Conduit (rather than radioactive materials). In fact, the idea of Conduits would be interesting if they had two abilities: the ability to absorb/manipulate a type of matter, and a special superpower. Fetch has Neon and Super-speed. Kuo had Ice and Flight. (Emphasis on absorbing water vapor and freezing it in her body). Nix had Napalm and Teleportation. (Emphasis on absorbing materials like gasoline to make napalm). Sasha had Tar and Mind Control. (Absorb organic material to form tar, which can poison the bodies and manipulate the minds of others). If they can absorb and manipulate matter, then the things that Fetch does would make sense: the Neon she absorbs can be manipulated out of her body to be maintained into focused, lingering light-based stencil art, and she could control the neon she “uploads” onto weapons to control them wirelessly. The secondary ability would be reflective of general superhuman abilities that work in tandem with their matter-based abilities.

I played this and second son and honestly fetch is such a more interesting character with arguably the best power from second son. She should have been the main character and delson should have been a dlc character. Personally I love delsons powers over hers but I really wish the second son was her game.

kinda fitting for Ashley Johnson to be in a game about a woman who can fly around shooting pink lasers and other vague powers, all we need now is an immature male foil, an army of mutants turned from innocent humans, a glowy McGuffin that dishes out powers and an improbably capable engineer with dubious trustworthiness then we'll have everything we need to turn infamous into Alien Force!

I always assumed Curdun Cay was in Alaska. Or more likely Canada. (Also would you ever sin the Sly Cooper games?)

I don't think it would be Alaska since the military transport was heading north in Washington through Salmon Bay to Seattle. In Canada, the Conduits would be in better legal positions than in the United States. My guess would be Colorado or somewhere around there. Also, it looks like someone has already done the Sly Cooper series, so no, even though it was one of my very first video games on PS2 and still one of my beloved treasures.

@@Zivalene they made a mistake because back then was the era of controversy games, etc, bla bla bla... at least it's not worst than DMC DmC reboot. I can still enjoy all infamous series. Goddammit, just made one for Second Son already. You started this E.W.W stuff so don't half as on your work like that, not yet. Give it a chance and you won't regret it, no one will. After all, they still working on InFamous Domain.

I know it may sound weird but this is arguably a better game AND story than second son was. Fetch is compelling, the twist works if you ignore second son, the powers are alot more fun than what second son had, amd the story for first light is barely 4-5 missions shy of second son. Plus it's better arena over the trash second son gave us for side content. It got panned for being short or having "less powers" than second son. But this is still far far better. Almost as good as inFamous 1. Ignoring Second Son, inFamous is infallible as a series. XD they can work on the reasons conduits survived with a better story focused purely on the time jump between 2 and first light. There's still a nice 5 year gap to play with.

You deserve far more subscribers honstely I'm not even sure how you keep such good quality up but thank you for the content keep it up

I love these videos. I watched every Infamous video essay and Everything Wrong With that you've made. And now I can finally finish all of them now that I finished First Light. I'm a bit sad that you don't make a lot of these videos anymore, but it's understandable why. I loved how the Sin Count kept going back and forth every time Fetch had a good comeback against Shane. This was one of the better games in my opinion. It improved A LOT on Second Son, but I do hate the whole point system, and only getting upgrades after doing a batch of challenges aspect of the game, which I personally liked more in Second Son since it was more streamlined.

I must say u did an Incredible job I approve.

I think this game is superior to Second Son and Festival of Blood, but due to its 2.5 hour storyline versus both inFAMOUS and inFAMOUS 2's 8 hour story there is no way I could possibly cram more sins into this game than both of those. And overall, it didn't really mess up too much; some missions didn't have anything wrong with them at all unlike both of the Cole Saga games. Half of the video was from the first mission! If anything, this game's set-up is a little flawed, but the rest that comes after it is superb.

I have, but I prefer not to spend money on PS+ ever since they made it a requirement to play online. When I found that out, I immediately made a PC and got a PS4 much later after it came out. The internet is expensive enough without paying for a yearly service to make any use out of it.

I think in infamous 2 they use poison gas to kill Cole (except that he could escape easily) and heck once trap him with metal fences.

I'm pretty glad I only played the original 2 games, it seems like the others are cash grabs that dont really make sense due to the second games good or evil ending

@@Zivalene except most bullets are made mostly out of lead which is not a ferromagnetic metal so his electricity wouldn't be able to do that not to mention the bullets hitting his shield are then converted into electricity that he can then use as ammunition throughout the first game I'm just saying the conduits have shown abilities that have almost no correlation with their actual power source ever since the first game and even the logic behind their specific elements with certain powers is stretched into being something completely different at times like with the lightning tether in Infamous 2

Also, conversion of kinetic energy isn't that implausible. And yes, of course they're going to take stretches in a super hero fictional video game, but at least some of them have a decent line of logic in real-world physics.

@Zivalene turning kinetic energy into electrical energy while completely disintegrating the physical bullets as you never see any bullet shells fall to the ground or anything like that or anything even implying that that's the case would suggest that Cole is somehow converting the kinetic energy of the bullets and the physical bullets themselves into electrical energy which would imply that he is somehow transmuting the bullets into electrical energy for him to absorb and use. If he's capable of that then he's capable of doing way more than we see him doing the games. There's other types of powers that have no clear correlation with their specific element or material like for example why is it that fetch able to run as fast as she does when it is explained in the games descriptions that she runs at the speed of light but in first light her running through a cloud of Neon gas some help let her run faster. If she's capable of moving beyond the speed of light then this begs the question on how she was ever caught not just in first light but Second Son as well why doesn't neon not let her simply fly like ice does for quo? How does neon Let Her hover? Since her element is neon which is just a particular form of light and gas how come she can't absorb power from the Sun or other forms of light directly? What I'm saying is is that sometimes it's a video game mechanic that you're not really supposed to think about because they kind of stretch these things and put weird limitations on the powers that don't really make a whole lot of sense.

Really, I disagree with your review(s) in that I really liked Second Son but it felt terribly underbaked. The game needed another six months development or maybe to just shove First Light into it so its INFAMOUS: SONS AND DAUGHTERS.

+Aloyus Knight Most likely because it's really really loud on my end. In other words, my mixer volume is low because I'm using headphones that anything above 20% is deafening. When I play the video, I hear it just fine.

This is another reason why I don't like Augustine that much she pretends that she cares about fetch when really this is all manipulation I can easily see through it

Let's be fair though. First Light, as a story, and just in terms of how it functions as an open world game, is MUCH bettsr than Second Son. And while yes, why conduits live is still a thing, it didn't try to ham fist a reason into the story. It just was like "Interesting character, have fun!" And yaknow, it was. Alot of fun. And a better, albeit simpler, plot than SS did. Also did the dead older brother thing much better XD Also, in the sin, qhen you said in SS fetxh said someone was after her stash, but this is wasnt, well..... not true? In her hallucination someone IS after her stash. Her head is a clear mess during SS. High on revenge and anger. Her memories arevliable to be a mess cause of it. Since all her powers are developed from extreme stress, as conduits are liable to do, that could mess with Delsins mind dealy too.

In the hallucination it went from her being taken in, to things being taken in general, to demanding her stash, before she blasts brent. All this, her grief, her obsession, her other anxiety, all combined with the high of killing shane, finding a way to blame someone, somethong to take her frustration out on that isn't herself, shows that her memories could be warped. But also that the memories aren't entirwly coherent either. Memeries are all subjective, from one's own mind, amd are very liable to be misremembered, especially if an event is traumatizing. The memory shows he inna withdrawl or high state, demanding her stash amd them boom, dead brent. So, it could easily end up in twisted memories. Delsin doesn't absorb history from someone, he takes in their subjective memories and views. Not a historic recording or account of things. At the same time, it was clear Fetch was getting a rush from every dealer she killed aswell. Basically murdwr therapy. But in the end, it's also just as easy to have been a retcon to actually make her story not as poopoo generic as SS lead on. But it's not a stretch to say that it wasn't what SS were going for either. To keep it just detailed enough to give her histery in SS but vague enough to still make something surprising. Altho i'm not sure why you had to break down what i said sentence by sentence. XD

Taking everything the first two games built up to and shitting on it while simultaneously letting corporate meddling cause it to be rushed and half-finished, thereby underselling their expectations (even though it sold well) and killing the franchise.

Also the game was half finished? Some of the powers from the original 2 Infamøus games were gone but it didn't feel rushed or half done

Sucker Punch has never ever picked a franchise back up after they moved on to another one. With all the new technology, staff and marketing they did, they did not make the returns they needed. It drew in new players, but many of the old players did not return, making another game in the series unwise to start since sequels and spin-offs rarely outsell the originals. Yes, it is half-finished. Troy Baker said so himself that when he and the cast arrived, the scripts weren't complete and they had to ad-lib lots of lines and go along a general storyboard. This meant that not only were the characters incomplete, but the world-building as well. The game wasn't meant to be a launch-title, it was supposed to be released a year later but Sony pushed the date, leading to rushed development and cancelled plot points and scrapping the DLC plans they had to make shorter, concise ones.

Zivalene Thats mainly because it had an entirely new cast of characters and different powers. Unfortunately trying new stuff usually means less sales. Along with the fact that sequels usually don't sell as well like you said. The stuff that killed it was external stuff and the fact that they tried new stuff. And if it really was then it's really hard to tell what's ad-libed. At least for me.

So, because the characters are new, they are entitled to be half-assed? That's a sorry excuse. That's like saying that any new IP, any new book, any new movie is excused from having incomplete characters. inFAMOUS 1 didn't have it that bad. Last of Us didn't have it that bad. Horizon didn't have it that bad. No Final Fantasy game has it that bad. There is no excuse for it, except that at least it wasn't a total train wreck. And no, of course you couldn't tell what was ad-libbed ("That's that pitching arm again, huh?") because Troy, Travis and Laura aren't exactly scrubby actors. They each have decades of experience and the three of them together have the best chemistry out of any trio in the entire industry (considering that they are married/best friends since childhood). They did the best with what they had, but it's not the actors at fault here.

I'm from the southern part where our accent is a little lighter than the rest of the state. I'm also attempting to hide it to make myself understandable like I do in most of my videos where I speak. I only pull it out for that one part "Y'all better not come back". If you were to hear me speak regularly, I slur and cut my words short a lot. If that isn't proof enough, I just got power back from Hurricane Harvey. Sounded like a freight train going by my house for 12 hours straight.
