Well Epic Universe didn't result in a Fifth Orlando Park (although that could be due to DeSantis as Disney might be considering building another park elsewhere in the US).

I don’t think that might happen for a couple of reasons. Rumour is Universal wants to open their park by 2030, if this is true, an announcement would need to be made until 2026, I do not think Disney would be as quick as that, there’s not only 4 years until the park opens but also a lot in the pipeline for the two parks

As a french, I would love a third park like Animal Kingdom will be great because in Europe there's no equivalent.For the case if it's a park like Epcot, we have alternatives near Disneyland with the Futuroscope (for the futuristic aspect) and Europa Park (for the world showcase aspect). Anyway, the Disneyland park need new attractions, same story for WDStudios and I think if Universal come in Spain and/or in England so Disneyland Paris will have to react very quickly .

There is flamingo land in the UK which has animal kingdom vibes. It's not great at all haha, but it exists I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

The European crowd would be perfect for a villains themed land.

The way I look at it, Paris has a “magic kingdom” and the studios feels like a mash of Hollywood studios and when frozen land opens, an Epcot world showcase kind of area, the logical 3rd park would be an animal kingdom based park. If they go down this route, they might not build the lion king land in studios but may (and I’m secretly hoping) stick with Galaxy’s Edge or maybe Encanto to which I think would be an amazing choice also!

Technically Walt Disney Studios (Disney Adventure World) already has a piece of Epcot’s World Showcase. The Ratatouille Land within Walt Disney Studios was the inspiration behind the France Pavilion.

The biggest problem with Disneyland Paris is they built the Studios park too close to the Disneyland park. Disneyland itself has almost no room for expansion. There is one little plot just west of the Pirates of the Caribbean currently filled with water. Other than that that's it, unless they remove some backstage structures

I don’t see that as a problem to be honest, there are so many expansions slots available in Disneyland Parc still, to name a few: huge Adventureland slot, behind Frontierland theatre, behind Discoveryland (old Pizza Planet), huge Fantasy to Disco passageway, behind Fantasyland station and there are some smaller ones inside the park too!

On the contrary, it's even better that Disneyland Paris is close to the Studios because when you take a 1 day 2 park ticket, walking between the two parks is easier as it's not too far you can go back and forth easily

I am a bit skeptical of a third park. Disney needs to put the second park to the level of the first one. Also these first two parks had a rough start and Disney is currently not in the mood to make a risky investment. A third themepark is a project for the next ceo after Bob Iger. A third park should have its own identity and not an dumping ground for ips that are currently popular. I think an animal kingdom like park would be interesting in a different climate. But i don't think Disney will try to attempt to construct such an ambitious park in the near future. An Epcot like park could work, if they focus on non european countries. Europeans tend to know more about europe than some american company. Disney shouldn't try to build Europapark at home. I think a park themed after asian, african or american countries should do the trick. A third themepark seems a project far in the future. I think that Disney needs to fix their financial situation and their creative direction before attempting this venture.

Don't worry, the 3rd park for DLP is nothing more than a dream of the fans. For over 15 years different generations of fans have been speculating and fantasizing about that 3rd park. Nothing has happened and will ever happen for the very simple reason that it doesn't fit within the European market. And before some wiseguy claims "they have to build it" ... well, they actually don't (just read the small print in the agreement with the State). All Disney needs to do: 1) Expand the 1st park 2) Put a lot more effort in WDS, because 3 attractions (Rapunzel, Frozen and Lion King) ain't gonna be enough. 3) Make culturally relevant movies again, so the billions of dollars in losses at the boxoffice will stop. Because at this rate, Disney will file for bankrupcy within 3 years.

Yeah, no way the third park is happening anytime soon---or ever, really. Disney isn't in the greatest spot at the moment and is losing cultural relevance at an unprecedented pace.

Nice to know that at least someone at WDI is working on this!

I would hope a galaxies edge expansion would be perfect.

I think both parks are suffering from a lack of direction and focus, until that can be resolved I don’t have much hope for a third gate.

This or a Shanghai second gate will likely be Disney's next theme park, making it the 13th Disney Park. I hope that it isn't unlucky for Disney and that they use it to create a villains land/park 😀

That’s true! I could see Disney invest in the Shanghai 2nd park as Shanghai Disneyland keeps receiving expansions and hotels, will be interesting to watch!

Really cool so that when I'll go back xD but seriously I hope they don't forget to build something new in the main park, a discovery land overhaul or the Indy darkride would be nice (yes the park looks great but the attraction lineup is really basic compared to the other castle parks)

I think a world showcase centred around the princesses and nature would probably be very popular. Call it "Disney Gardens".

I think they will make a Disney Villains park in Paris and them also build a expansion to mk which is also disney villains themed

A third park is very exciting, even though it may take over 10 years to break ground. In that time, Studios Park can massively expand (and hopefully get a berm 😆), Disneyland Park can finally get a major investement-still waiting for the Star Wars miniland!-Disney Village can go from tacky to great, and some hotels can get a well-needed refurhbishment! (Hopefully 😄)

the best would be a EuroCot OR Starwars - and around the lake at disney studios copy fantasy springs in disney sea tokyo - add the peter pan and rupenzel lands - and take your skyliner and boat ideas and add a few new hotels!

They need to invest heavily in WDSP first, the Frozen and new Studio 1 updates are nice, but it’s still such a disaster. I wonder how they’d go about a new park.

Before opening a third Park they should improve their second Park first. Hollywood Studios is a mess. It needs more that a Frozen Land. Definitely needs a Galaxys Edge there!

It’s ridiculous to talk about a third park. They just need to properly invest in the two they have. The studios development is absolutely pitiful in terms of pace and maddeningly Frozen won’t even have the coaster included. The castle park hasn’t had a new ride in 18 years!!! It’s great that after years of neglect they’re returning the place to its former glory quality wise, but they really need to stop value engineering new additions.

If you’ve been following the rumours and happenings this past year you might know that there are currently plans for a Lion King land in Studios + one other land and a Star Wars land for the back of Discoveryland (a different one, not an extension of Disco). Investment is coming

Disneyland Park definitely needs more attractions. Coming from Disneyland in California, I was amazed at how few attractions the park actually held.

Another vision of Animal Kingdom would be perfect for the third parc in my opinion. 😁 and maybe … if they leave a little space open for a small fourth water parc, like the lagoon they planned to do. 😉

Animal kingdom is a very costly park to run. Regardless of numbers the animals require constant support.

We visited DLP sept 2022. We were thoroughly of the opinion it was WAY too overcrowded for us.

A World Showcase park. 40-50 countries each with a film, a ride attraction, a store, a quick service food, 1/2 with a full service restaurant, each with live music-dance. each pavilion would also have a small exhibit area featuring 4-5 small rooms featuring things about the country (history, sports, media, culture, art, fashion, etc) to make it a bit of a learning experience as well. Take was WDW did for epcot and expand on it. Cultural Representatives from around the world to work there.

Europe already has Europa Park for this. I don't think that's what people want when they go to Disneyland here. Europeans already travel a lot, and if people can afford to come to Paris, they can afford to go elsewhere.

I would love to see the new park to be inspired by and based on Europe. Not informative like Epcot, but more like Californian Adventure which is a celebration of California. A heavily themed waterpark along the lines of Rulantica would also an option. I really wish the new park doesn’t rely on existing (movie) IP’s but I’m afraid that those days are in the past🙁

Not exactly, Europapark is too coaster-heavy for a Disneypark. And the European-theming isn't that thoroughly integrated. From Disney I expect something al lot more immersive. Bring the Matterhorn (closer to) home please! If Disney, decides to go for a waterpark, then yes! Rulantica is a great place to start imagineering @@leanen6424

@@bjornberings I would love a waterpark at Disneyland Paris but the weather isn't appropriate year round so unless they build a giant dome (like center parks or Tropical Island in Germany) I don't see that happening. There are so many new movies, especially with Pixar, I hope they build on them. I don't care particurlarly for Frozen but I'd love to see something inspired by Coco, and a New Orleans/Louisiana area would be lovely with good restaurants and live jazz music.

If Epic Universe is anything to go by, we shouldn’t expect a major reaction by Disney to a Universal Britain resort.

I hate the Lion King land idea. I would love a Paris DisneySea. (I know I repeat myself. Thx for the video!)

I feel like a Lion King land will be less attractive than another Galaxies Edge or Pandora. Many in Europe havent had chance to visit the US and Lion Kings a very old IP now with not much new.

I think the 3rd Gate of Disneyland Paris Resort should be a European version of Epcot with Future World and World Showcase areas especially when Europe has the Futuroscope and Europa Park theme parks which are basically Future World and World Showcase as individual parks so it would make a lot of sense for Disney to build an Epcot style park in Europe that can compete with not only Europa park and Futuroscope but Universal as well.

Dia 12 de Abril foi a abertura do parque em 92, é muitas vezes celebrado e possivelmente vai ser anunciado (até um certo ponto) a nova land. Se acabar por ser (ainda se está a ver) em Agosto iremos ter mais detalhes, se não for, em agosto teremos o anuncio e mais detalhes! Agora, se está a vir, está!

I'm thinking about possibilities. We know that a superhéroes wouldnt have sense since Avengers campus replacing a part of the studios park. And áreas thats not working too because of the studios again. I think It would be perfect to have something similar to animal kingdom including a lion King theme park that could be perfect to make a New big theme park... And if i could choose another one there IS being rumores a land of villains.. a theme park for the villains would be so great too.

There’s a lot that could call the third park home!

Bring Wakanda, Asgard, a version of Fantasy Springs (Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Tarzan), Tattooine, maybe a Buzz Lightyear themed land, and a much grander version of San Fransokyo

As a european I don´t want an Epcot 2.0. Wie have this already in Germany. We don´t need a second one. What we want is a park with state of the art attractions like Tron, Zoomania, Star Wars, a good frozen area or so. But please not an Epcot 2.0 where we have European countries. If we want to explore European countries, we just take our car or the train.

This park later transformed into the, similarly failed, London Resort. That’s such an amazing history lesson of how not to build a huge theme park resort 😂

So basically all I have taken from this video is that anything built since the late nineties has affectively been built due to contractual obligation and not an awful lot has had the development time to be thought out. Studios and it's expansion along with the village and Hotel refurbs and soon the third park, even though studios will still be incomplete, were all done because Disney had no choice.

Well, I hope you took a bit more than that haha. But you’re somewhat correct, yes. Disney had to build the studios park that’s why when it opened, it was so small and with only 3 rides. They didn’t have to expand the way they did though, especially with the new 2B expansion. So, what you can take is that there was a time Disney had no trust in Disneyland Paris but that is long gone, and we’re starting to see what’s coming from that now!

I love Epcot in Florida. A celebration of European lands would be amazing. I also love Living with the lands showing education can also be fun.

Great video like always, thanks for that! Here are my quick thoughts: 1. Disney is obviously asleep at the wheel. They seem like they couldn't care less about any investments with their growing competition. Since the announcement of Epic Universe we've been waiting for their response. Nothing. The fact that Universal seems eager to enter the european market once again, I highly doubt that this will motivate Disney to invest to keep their marketshare in Europe. 2. A lot of people are asking for an Epcot-style park here in the comments, but this would be an insanely risky investment for Disney. Unless it's some sort of extension of Disney Village that is free to enter, I highly doubt that a lot of european visitors would be interested in something like the world showcase as a themepark. 3. I think the biggest problem with IP-based attractions is not the fact that they are IP-based, it is how poorly Disney implemented them in the past recent years, especially in Epcot. Epic Universe leads in my opinion the future of a modern themeparks. Relevant and classic IPs, immersive lands and not only movie based IPs. Disney could have reserved those immersive lands for a new park but decided to create Frankensteins Monster with their Studios Parks in Paris and it will take years and another CEO to reach the stage of DCA, which is another Frankensteins Monster, just a better one.

@@jojboy Have you ever been to Epcot and Europapark? The concepts are very different. Europapark focuses on classic attractions like big rollercoasters and gives them a fitting theme for the respective area. World Showcase has more rides now already but nowhere near to the extend as Europapark. They focus on Food & Beverage and cultural exhibitions. Another thing to consider is that World Showcase already exists for over 40 years, Europapark is even older. Not sure how a new park that might open in 10 years will suceed with this type of concept.

​@@leanen6424 I know, and what I saw there is not much over from the idea of epcot. Personally, I dont think a epcot can work here. But a bit of a futuristic park where they show cultures like Europapark does, I'm sure that can work. Taking a look at Europapark or Phantasialand.

It would make sense for them to use the Westcot plans that they abandoned in Disneyland California

I would remove Toy Story/Pixar IP from Disneyland Park. I would redevelop Walt Disney Studios Park into a Pixarland Park modelling its entry land after the Pixar Animation Studio in Emeryville. And I would make the third park a Marveland Park. Lucasfilm IP like Indiana Jones and Star Wars can remain in Disneyland Park, but I would remove Star Wars IP from Discoveryland and build a dedicated Star Wars land beyond the berm behind Discoveryland.

They could do this but not fix the Mark Twain, still a cool video though!

I feel it’s very hard to do something completely new, there are so many European theme parks with similar themes to Disney, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, studios… it’ll be hard to come up with a new concept

That will be a flop. If we Europeans want to Visit other european countries, we just get into a car, train, Ship or plane to go there. We dont need a copy of Europe. We have the original right at our front door. And Europa-Park in Germany already does that on a very high level including a lot of great roller coasters which DLP simply does not have except for Big thunder Mountain.

I’m still hoping Universal will buy PortAventura back! 🤞🤞🤞

if they do they will have to change the entire attitude of that park because right now it is rapidly getting a very bad rep for poor staffing, bad guest behavior, intentionally long queues caused by some of the worst operations imaginable (so people are forced to buy Fast Pass) and rip off pricing. When Theme Park vloggers are saying they will never go there again until things improve you know the park is doing a lot of stuff wrong.

I so wish they would make a Galaxy Edge in Paris aswell, having 2 in the US and none here is kinda frustrating...the Star Wars fanbase is huge in europe aswell

Main Street. If Universal come back to England and Spain this time they will not be charged a 1% premium over and above the going interest rate negotiated. Universal Studio's acquisition of "Port Adventura." This 1% premium was charged by the lending banks because of the hard time Euro Disneyland went through and was still trying to get back on it's feet. When Universal sold out of "Port Adventura" they had a special report prepaired on what assumptions were wrong before they acquired the park. It was found, tourist's from all over England and Europe went to Spain for the beaches, sun, food etc. A visit was very low on their list.They could go to an amusement park anytime at home. Also visitors to "Port Adventura" spent less on food and merchandise.If and when Disney do build a 3rd park this time lets hope Disney does'nt keep trimming the budget down. As they did for the Studio park built when Eisner was still CEO. Thats why studio's opened with fewer attractions than intended.Cheers, Chris Perry.

That’s an interesting topic you bring up actually, with three parks and the other two further developed I believe they will sell a lot more 1 park 1 day tickets than they do now and a lot more people will spend a full day in one park
