Everything Palpatine REALLY Did When Killing 3 Jedi Masters Revenge of the Sith -Star Wars Explained

Ойын-сауық

In Star Wars The Revenge of the Sith - Darth Sidious exterminates the 3 Jedi Masters with ease until Anakin arrives to finish off Mace Windu. What is different however, is in the novelization HOW he killed them is much more gruesome and sinister. This allows us to really view Palpatine in the light he was meant to be perceived, as the ruthless and disturbing Sith Lord.

1 like = 1 prayer for Kit Fisto RIP my smiley Master Hope you enjoyed this in-depth look into what really happened before it got censored for the big screen. Let me know what you'd like to see for tomorrow, and if you'd like for me to continue on Anakin's perspective. Hope you're having a great day, talk to you in the comments! Well, it’s called the inverse ninja law. It’s also explained by the rule of cool. It’s cool to see one combatant win against several foes, so the inverse ninja law comes into effect. The INL states that a single ninja is an expert combatant, however, a group of ninja is incompetent.

Two of them fumbled. Kit Fisto at least managed to parry a few strikes before getting sliced across the chest. Of course in the movie Palpatine opened with Force Scream (which basically overwhelms senses, stuns and inflicts fear like it's a status effect), rather than charging with Form VII Juyo attacks from the beginning. Given that Sidious borderline scales to the likes of Treya in the movies, it makes sense that the ones that didn't fumble only were Fisto who used Shii-Cho which is really only meant for multiple opponents and Windu who created Vaapad, his signature style, which is as close to Juyo as a Jedi could get without turning to the Dark Side and lacks Juyo's weakness of "all attack no defense".

+JurassicWorldtheGamer 1) StormTrooper TR-8R: You should read the original script before Disney made JJ revised it. In the original script, Maz Kinata has a totally different dialogue with Finn. Basically she didn't call him a runaway but a warrior. Now, with his fight with TR, the script and novel makes it clear that Finn knew he was going to lose. He commented that TR was bigger and broader than him and that battle wise he knew he already lost. 2) Kylo Ren: Again, the original script had something totally different. In the script, Finn and Rey fought Kylo at the same damn time and defeated him. Now the novel states the film version. The novel says that Kylo was highly amused that a novice StormTrooper made it all the way here with Anakins light saber and is prepared to duel him. But when Finn burned Kylo he was like "uh-oh, better get serious now". And he ended beating Kylo.

Seriously look up "trolls 2", "Gremlins", any movie involving time travel, and for 90s examples "Rocko's Modern Life" (the title character ends up working for a SEX LINE despite being a "kid's show"), "Ren & Stimpy", "Conker's bad Fur Day" and for some instances from Japan, "the Dead Hand" and "Shadow Temple" in Ocarina of Time (a "KID'S GAME"), "Neon Genesis Evengelion", Elfen Leid, the in-game Pokedex entries in the Pokemon games, the 3D Mario games (the infamous piano, Spaghettification, body hopping in the most recent one if you look at the psychological ramifications) a decent sized chunk of animation that I'm not comfortable mentioning or the works that were altered by the translators... 3) Was he on drugs or was he just not taking them? He had planned to use stuntmen bouncing of walls and so forth and have it extended than the original scene. However he wanted both of the actors to be in the fight as much as they could so he came to sacrifice the stunning visuals and prolonged fight to have the scene as authentic as possible.

Shii-Cho, Kit Fisto's fighting style, is better for dealing with multiple enemies, or in Grievous' case, multiple weapons, rather than a single opponent wielding a single lightsaber. The wide, sweeping movements of Shii-Cho enable the blade to guard better against multiple attacks -- for example, Kit could use it to block several blaster bolts with a single sweep of his blade and if one of Grievous' lightsabers came down at his skull and another aimed for, let's say, his shoulder, all he would need to do is swing his blade in an upward arc to block both lightsabers with one move -- but a single blade has more precision because the user doesn't need to focus on what their other hand is doing. Therefore, it can penetrate Shii-Cho's defences more easily. That's probably one of the reasons Sidious didn't use two lightsabers like he did against Maul and Savage. The other reason was because apart from Mace, Yoda and possibly Obi-Wan, Anakin and Shaak Ti, none of the living Jedi stood a chance against him and Sidious knew it. Actually, Yoda stated Obi-Wan wasn't strong enough but since Obi-Wan is THE master of Soresu, his defence is almost impenetrable so he might have held out long enough to exhaust Sidious.

  • @ComanderScar

The Legendary Look at it less as a demonstration of Fisto's weakness (because he wasnt weak at all) but rather a show of Darth Sidious' sheer amount of power and skill. I still believe that without Windu's use of Vapaad, he would have fallen much quicker (though he still would have held out for a while). And even then, the fact that Sidious was in control EVEN with Windu and Vapaad speaks volumes. Only Yoda was a match for him, but he onfortunately couldnt defeat Sidious then.

Tom Norton, Soresu of Obi Wan would have no chance against Sidious, Obi Wan's power is much lower than Sidious. Only a person as strong as Yoda (who is equal to Sidious in terms of power) or master of vaapad like Windu could fight against Sidious. Lucas stated this before.

Did the Jedi have any legitimate reasons/evidence against Palpatine that the Jedi could show the senate or was Windu and the others committing a legitimate coup? The reason I ask I this: Windu doesn't give any crimes as reason for the arrest (granted, the republic may not have that as a law) but the senate would demand to hear the Jedi reasons for the arrest. Furthermore if Palpatine were so inclined he could have played along, been brought before the senate and, with no evidence against him save Windu's dislike of him the Jedi Order would be in a very bad spot with the republic. Order 66 might not be activated but then again it might still have been by the senate as a whole if they viewed it as the Jedi were trying to take power. So I guess from a legal point of view, was the Jedi orders fate sealed with Windu's actions?

David Bonness from a legal point of view, Palpatine hid his tracks too damn well. Literally nothing wouod ever be proven, and even then, he held too much political power. His line "I am the Senate" wasn't for nothing. The Senate was powerless to deliver any justice on him, even if they tried, which most likely wouldnt have, considering they either saw Palpatine as a good man, or they were corrupt. The Jedi knew the Sith and what they were capable of, so they really had no choice but to act. Waiting wouldnt be an option. If Sisious discovered they knew everything would fall apart. I'm not saying they made the right decision, but that their decisiom was kind of forced upon them.

Chickeman Im pretty sure Order 66 was known to people woth proper clearance. They were contingency orders designed for very specific and dire scenarios. There was even one that entailed the arrest of the Chancellor and appointing military command to someone else. I believe even the Jedi knew, though obviously not its endgame purpose.. The point of Order 66 was that it was one of many, many drastic situations that would need to be adressed quickly. And that there were so many that it wouldnt stand out too much. There were at least 100 contingency rules of the sort. What WAS secret was the inhibitor chips that forced the obedience of these orders (im not sure if they ONLY forced obedience of Order 66, or obedience of any kind).

As strong Yoda is he's still no match for Palpatine no matter what the fanboys are trying to bring up it's been made very clear in both the novels and the movie as well. There is a VERY good reason why Yoda NEVER tried to face Palpatine ever again even with the risk of losing Luke and the last remaining hope. Palpatine is the strongest non-Force entity character (like Father and Son and the Daughter) in the Saga and the strongest and smartest Sith EVER.
