Best devs ever. The only thing thats annoying is the people constantly asking for stuff, not being able to think about the time this takes to be made.

I really like the new update. A feature I really love is that the camera now stays adjusted. For example, in 0.30, if I wanted to drive the Hirochi Aero (a bus on the Repo) it would always center the camera upon driving. Now, I can put it more towards the bottom, so I can see the RPM gauge while driving. The new truck is interesting, but I am sad how they handled the gearbox. I had hoped they would go the ETS/ATS route, and include a splitter gearbox so you can shift the 12 gears it used to have. At least, with the 5 speed, it now reaches 140 km/h in the overdrive setting.

I hate the new realistic gearbox mostly because there is barely any sound - no massive skkkhhrrg. I found with the trucks that there is no sound at all because the engine is too loud for the new rattling sound Also, holding the clutch after a failed shift doest even attempt to put it back into gear half the time.. synchronizer doesnt feel nice

It was like that with the camera not centering many years ago i believe, but they switched to the new system and switched back to the non center camera for some reason.

I absolutely love that the devs are sticking to beamng, i'd say it's easily the best car sandbox game, I just wish they could implement multiplayer natively but I get it's really hard due to the nature of the game

"You can now use vehicle triggers (such as door handles, etc.) of any vehicle without having to leave the current vehicle. For example, you can operate triggers on trailers without leaving the truck they are attached to"

Also another crazy thing from the notes for the career mode, "Just like real life, you can customize the coverage of each policy, changing their respective “premium” (an amount of money the player has to pay every X kms to renew their insurance policy)" You now have to worry about renewing insurance IRL and in BeamNG.

7:45 I played around with the new T series and trailers last night; and I discovered something amazing whilst in the driver view concerning the pneumatic simulation: if the air pressure is below a certain level, a warning buzzer will sound just like in a real truck, as well as the brakes will lock on until the pressure is above that threshold! The air compressor will also shut off when the air pressure is at its maximum value just like a real truck!

@@Naireda1 no, Pessima. Pessima is life, a gorgeous sedan with 80s technology, absolutely phenomenal design, sexy body. The Miramar is nice too, cute. Let the mods fill those gaps for now If the 2nd gen Pessima is remastered then why not the 1st gen too?

@@azi9_ity well, I tested it, but it's not like in trucks where you have two sets of gears and need to redo positions 1 to 6 to get 7 to 12... If you've played a truck sim or seen a truck, you'll know what I mean

5:53 welcome to the life of a trucker lol. The amount of times I used to get in and out of a truck to attach a tripple trailers is insane. Especially if it comes down to reversing the truck to centimeter precision underneath the box and you're in on your own

I'm really surprised that they didn't add in a fire engine uplift for the T-Series. I hope they add one down the road. Also, If you spawn the cab over or conventional dump truck you can select the cement mixer (WIP) via the uplift selector. Its pretty cool and does have some function.

i think they should make the boxes a toggleable option thats automstically on so yk its interactable but you can turn it off.

In most sims your cursor switches to a palm to indicate that what you’re hovering over can be interacted with. I guess the boxes are here to differentiate what we can and cannot mess with, since it’s not the same on all the cars. But yeah I hate them so bad ☠️

@MuYe it's broken at the moment but if you toggle hud on, interact with a button then toggle off, it will allow you to use the buttons with no hud. It's finicky and I've experienced the exact problem you bring up, but it can be remedied.

@@Shaun_Jones They exist, but probably only for deep sea transport. I've never worked with them or even see them in real life. This is because in a normal 20 foot tank container you can already easily fit so much product that you'll exceed the roads weight limit. Of course it depends on the product, not every chemical has the same weight. 675 liters of poly phosphoric acid already weighs 1400 kilograms for example. At my place of work we also have 30 foot tank containers, they're basically smaller diameter tanks that are simply longer.

I gotta say, that truck is prepared for a bunch of load

Now we need a Moonhawk Remaster, given it is based off of a 73-77 Chevy Chevelle we need a sedan, a wagon, and a ute, but also since the Chevelle was on the GM A Body, it's possible to make a new vehicle based on the Monte Carlo (Slash other Personal Luxury Cars of the time) that is mostly just Moonhawk parts but in a new body that is a little bit longer than the Moonhawk

It took me like 30 minutes if searching the entire truck to find the handles on the front and i was glad that the cabover had that flip up body feature like irl. I remember seeing a firetruck with the body leaned forwards irl and it was kinda derpy looking.

i would love to see a european truck fom the 90s and maybe something similar to the v10 MAN and Daimler Trucks era

Now I just want a tow truck. Just a simple coupler on the front/back of vehicles. Even a way to lock the vehicle onto the flatbed tow truck would be awesome

Honestly my favorite part is the sound redesign! One thing about beamng that I’ve always hated are the fake-sounding, unrealistic engine sounds. There’s much more rumble and less unrealism in the truck engine.

There's a cement mixer uplift in the game. You have to find it in the parts list because it's WIP. I noticed that I can't find all uplift options under every truck (default) config, so you need to load a certain preset to find it (idr which).

Cant believe the beam team is still pushing updates, this game has always gotten more amazing each year! Cant wait to try stubby t-series!

as someone who's actually had fun with tractor trailers, it's very simple and very accurate. most van trailers and longer intermodal trailers have sliding tandems, tandems being the rear group of axles, sliding tandems allow you to determine how much of the load's weight is on the truck and how much is on the trailer by changing the position of the fulcrum relative to the load. put simply, further forward: more on trailer, further back: more on truck.

Exciting changes!! Can't wait to experiment with them!

Collaboration? They don't need to collab with no one. Check career mode and they've already began delivery system similar to ATS/ETS2 but for the cars and you have to purchase cargo boxes to be able to haul the goods. Hey MuYe i have been watching the questionable racing series for a while now and i think you should do a Rally Version of questionable racing, Love the vids.

4:59 The 4090 can't help you there, you're CPU limited, not GPU limited. I play at 4K with a 5800X + 4x8GB 3866MHz CL16 + 6800 XT and if I max out the mirror and reflections I drop to 59 FPS in the same spot. But if I'm conservative with the mirror + reflections setting and don't fully crank the detail and distance slider, I can sit at a comfortable 67-70 FPS in the same spot, which is not ideal, but it's fine.

Don’t think my 7950X is causing any bottlenecks lmao. I have everything cracked up to the highest settings, and the dynamic mirrors just add rendering complexity on top of that. It’s more of an API limitation, which is why Vulkan doubled my frames. Otherwise, if it were a CPU bottleneck, nothing would’ve changed.

@@MuYe You're correct that the API is the root of the problem, but this is because DX11 has significantly higher CPU overhead for draw call scheduling than Vulkan does, and nVidia's DX11 driver also has higher CPU overhead due to the driver creating an additional software layer between the CPU and GPU in order to multithread DX11 draw call scheduling. Basically the easiest way to tell if you're CPU bottlenecked is to look at your GPU utilization. Any time your GPU is not at 99-100% utilization, that indicates that the CPU is not feeding the GPU new frame data fast enough. With my 6800 XT on 4K maxed everything in Beam in the same spot on West Coast, I'm sitting at around 70-80% GPU utilization, so I'd expect the 4090 to have even lower utilization in that spot. But if your GPU is actually at 100% utilization in that spot, my guess would be that either nVidia has some work to do on their driver because it's not working well with Beams new mirrors, or it might be time to run BeamNG's clear cache option, cause somethin' be borked.

It says unstable as in potential crashing, unintended issues with the game may occur, and stuttering may be more prevalent. It is usable, but you do have to keep that in mind when using it a wide variety of issues may occur. It has a lot of potential, as you saw it doubled the performance. But it needs time to cook by the devs to be stable.

You missed that we can now add decals to cars now as well by going into certain garages. On top of this you can also modify/tune your car with a different menu!

So I'm going to be waiting for my games to update for a while. I enrolled in the beta for my current non-BeamNG favorite game, so that gets updates every day as they refine the new functionality. I got hype when I started seeing more coverage of Beam v0.31 on the rumor mill, and I expected it to be late December. Then suddenly on my front page, THIS! As I type this my PC busily grinds away installing the patch.

As a truck driver, this new update is very cool ! More realistic, more stuffs about trucks & semi, can’t wait for a eu_semi ;)

What I really find cool is the jake brake. I don´t even know if that existed before, but the sound of that is so cool!

From release notes: Reworked all upfits besides the cement mixer (which is still available under parts and will be returning as a remastered upfit in future updates, see a WIP screenshot here)

Bro sliding the axles isn't complicated, it's exactly like I've had to do it pulling reefer trailers, love it
