Your designs are beautiful. With your straw hat, the first you show, try starching your brim. I have not done this but have heard about it. I believe you soak it in liquid starch. But Google it to find out. And beautiful piano playing!

What an amazing accomplishment - all that you've knitted in one year. You must have super powers!! I always enjoy your episodes, your cheerfulness is contagious and your knitted items are so well constructed. But my oh my . . . your wedding outfit is just beyond amazing. It fits you so nicely and is so sweet yet very sophisticated, a picture of you wearing this outfit should be in a magazine!!

Great episode. Hello from Beausejour Manitoba. Good luck on your new job. You will be very good at it. When my granny died I inherited her yarn stash. All acrylic. I donated some. Worked through tons of it. Blankets and gifts mostly. How are you doing with your grandmother’s yarn? Do you have lots left? Maybe do a stash video?! 😊🧶

It’s been two years since my grandma mailed me her stash! I don’t have much left actually, just few grams in this colour and that. I’ve made 3 garments and many accessories out of them. You can see me showing the yarn in my first episode I think, and I gradually knitted them up in the following episodes!

Your projects are great. Regarding your paper hat, I remember a designer called Annie Modisette, who designed a series of hats and used wire to keep the shape of the brim. You could think about threading a thin wire through the edge.

13:48 you could try to find a matching fabric (yellow or beige) and sew it under the knitted fabric as a see through protection - just at the lace part.

For the paper yarn hat - maybe you could wind a floral wire through the edge and give it more structure again, or you could try spraying it with starch and see if it keeps its shape better that way!

I don’t remember either 😂. Let me just quickly reply in text: I used fixed circular needles of Hiya Hiya Sharp and Lykke Driftwood. I only use Lykke to knit socks. I prefer metal for any other projects- faster, slides better. I used 40” or 32” and magic loop method for smaller circumferences, but recently I bought cheap Chinese metal circulars of 三燕 and of smaller circumferences that I enjoy using as well.

Great episode. About your hat. I hate to see you spend all your efforts and not be able to use the hat any longer. Perhaps you could soak the brim in a fabric stiffener like Aileen's. Not sure if this can be found in Canada but we can find it in stores like Michael's in the US. If you soak it, then lay it out and put it into the shape you want, then let it dry. This may counter act the water that softened the brim in the first place. I also believe the stiffener is water soluble so if you don't like the effect you could just soak it out. Good luck.

What a fun episode. You made so many lovely things. I love your vine sleeveless top, and your wedding outfit is so elegant, stunning. Regarding to your paper fiber hat, I wonder if you can spray it with the stiffening stuff men often use to starch their shirts? If you iron that in, you might regain the shape you had at the start?
