As a Malaysian: WTF with those prices?! (Tho I don't live in Kuala Lumpur but those prices are what we locals called "cekik darah" literal translation is "choking blood" coz that's waaay too expensive) I'm sorry for all foreigners that comes to Malaysia and to be given the "tourist" price at this kind of places.

Bro this is Jalan Alor BB, a street hawker for the tourists. Every tourist spot in the world is cekik darah la bro. Locals don't go there, we do know where we're supposed to be if we wanted something, good, delicious and cheap.

River prawns are the most excellent even when cooked without seasoning, tasting sweet and chewy. However, the market price is fairly high unless you live in a village.

The crocodiles. Yup just going by boat you see 4- 5 croc sunbathing. Dare to fish for one?. Even though the price expensive but that was reasonable.

If you didn’t know the dried pork on a stick actually belonged for a noodles dish called: “ 干捞面” which pretty much means dried noodles

try kedah next especially pulau langkawi. Just dont book a flight to pulau langkawi yet. There is shore there where they sell seafood including prawn and cooked right away. With beautiful sea scenery and tasty food. Feel blessed ngl.

I stayed in Malaysia for 2 months years ago and I love Jalan Alor. I wish you got to try their Salted Egg Sotong or salted egg fried squid! It was so good paired with fried rice!

It smells nice but not a shade on Teh Tarik Who in Malaysia would sell Thai Milk Tea when there is Teh Tarik Please stop associating food & drink to Thailand & Singapore when its not native to those country like Thai Satay, Singapore Noodle or Laksa What she had there was Teh Beng/Teh Ais (Iced Milk Tea) Thai grows tea in the 1980 whereas tea was introduced to Malaysia in the 1880 Thats 100 years earlier than Thailand

Racial what? In the US, you get beaten in the streets for being a specific race or even LOOKING like a specific race. Here in Malaysia, nothing like that is gonna happen to you. There are racial issues, sure, like any other country. But it doesn’t involve violence and doesn’t put lives on the line like in the west.
