I've edited those 2 videos a combined 37 times so far but I'll keep working on it : ) This is why Patreon support is so important, feel free to help out if you want to keep the channel doing well, link below! Still my favorite OP seasons later. At first note or 2 I just want to groove to it. So full of energy and fun.

Did you notice the ED gainning new people in it? Maybe you win it in the back half; but since I got past the half way point in episode count I figured I would mention it. I like when rarely ED or OP evolve with the series as events occur. A classic anime that did this was "Gokudo"... its a nonstandard fantasy adventure anime where the MC is a mega jerk and not really that good of a person but his selling point as a hero is his blunt approach at life where he is always open about who he is and what he wants. Among the few selfish heroes I actually like. Check it out in your free time as I doubt enough people would know it to vote it in. Has a good dub.

I need S2 now. I really loved this one. So many music anime feel to much like a long game and rarely complete the journey. This one I could believe needs 3 seasons tops... so its a doable goal.

I'm so glad someone else found this glorious hidden gem. Everything from characters to story and the music especially come together for a great time. As a guy with a passionate appreciation for history, having our Boi Kongming constantly refer back to historical tactics and strategies is extra icing on this cake of wholesomeness

We really fucking need more music oriented anime! Kongming & Bocchi not only provided a great fun with amazing fucking music but also showed how the music as a theme can be used really well for some incredible story and character writing!

"Girls Band Cry" the first two episodes have been entertaining, but sadly there is no official sub. There are fan subs, though decent ones are slower to come out. Studios are getting better at the all 3D animes.

I will always love K-On, it might not be the best stoty but dang if isn't a comfy and good feeling show with amazing music rivaling and even surpassing Bocchi for me.

I really actually liked Eiko's design, baggy top and long thighs, but not revealing. And enormose amount meme face. OP and ED and the the songs are actual bangers. PA works did a great job with animation as well

I wouldn't say this series is underrated, because just about everyone who watches it likes it a lot, but it's definitely a hidden gem. Also the music producer guy is straight up one of the best short term antagonists I've seen, he's so well written despite not having all that much screen-time and is so without it feeling contrived or rushed.

2:40 That was indeed done great. Even the finger placement is correct. One thing I really love about this series, is that they don't just say but do. When they say that someone doesn't have their heart in a song and is just singing to get the job done, it's not just verbal exposition, but you can actually hear the singing being imprecise in some places and lacking in passion. This is especially apparent with Eiko. You can hear her singing improving over the course of the season and taking dips when she's down in the dumps. Big compliments to the VA/singer for intentionally singing worse early on and slowly working up to her actual skill level. Many other series just say it is so, while they play a perfectly sung song in the background, but not this series. They go the extra mile. This series was either made by people who are musicians themselves, or they had very good advisors who are. Oh yes, I remember the rap episode, and how it came out in the same week as Kaguya-Sama Love is War's rap episode. ^^ I really hope this series will get a season 2 at some point.

I introduced my roommate to this anime around when episode 2 aired and he got hooked hard. He then went on to get over 20 people to watch it together with him over discord. Great anime, and I'm glad for every time someone new is introduced to it.

Oh yes. I forgot this one was voted in so I was delighted to see the notification. I never thought I would ever enjoy a music/showbizz themed anime but this one was legendary. It's already very nice and fun per se. But if you're a Three Kingdoms nerd like me (I fell into the Dynasty Warriors rabbit hole in my elementary school days) and you got all the references it's just pure bliss.

This was such a banger anime from the OP and the music in general, to the voice acting, writing, and art. My wife and I had so much fun watching it and I've rewatched it twice since. Absolute top rank work. One of the most "fun" anime ever.

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you covered this charismatic, hilarious, heartwarming, and totally unique anime!!! There's nothing else quite like it, honestly. The premise itself is incredibly creative and interesting, but the masterful execution of said premise and all that comes with it never ceases to astound me. Each of the characters is just so lovable and full of life. The animation and songs are stunning, and I got chills just listening to tidbits of it here. The grounded and deeply understood depiction of Kongming's career and the music industry is also incredibly impressive and adds so much depth and flavor to a story already exploding with both. I'm in awe. This anime needs more press......and a season two!!!!!! Please!!!!!!!!! I've never been so wretchedly nervous for a music performance as I was for the Battle of Shibuya 109. When they hit us with that cliffhanger and Kongming's ballsy plan, I was so fucking scared for Eiko. There were so many ways it could go horribly wrong and destroy her career. That and other moments (like singing on the rooftop) inject so much raw feeling into me despite knowing very little about the industry or Chinese history. It's a testament to the power of what they've built here. And it's incredible.
