G is so silly I absolutely fucking love it. I like the way they go about mixing pop culture with siege. You really know how to roll with the punches

I said this before but you're one of the only nuanced youtuber in this gaming scene that doesn't immediately cry and bitch about what you personally don't like and conflate it into the game being bad Oddly enough it's prominent in the FPS community, you don't see people crying and bitching to the degree of COD/BF when you branch out to other games whether its PvE or PvP, cause I've been enjoying the shit out of games like Elden Ring, Armored Core, and Yakuza series as someone that only plays Battlefield years ago and it's doing wonders for my mental health Seeing you being calm and well spoken about the things you like and dislike and being able to articulate why you feel that way is something that a lot of people don't have, so good job

The best part is playing with your friends and it’s such a good game for that. And so easy to make fun of everyone else for being awful

Siege has always had an amazing foundation of what they can achieve, however I think a lot of the times ubi seems to have times of where siege is good then it dips down dramatically. I just wish for more consistency as sometimes it’s jarring to go from good to REALLY bad yk

I think the only thing that’s missing from your conclusion is the part that, for people who really love Siege and what it has to offer (or at least, love what it can be when it’s at its best), taking a break from it doesn’t seem like an option because there doesn’t seem to be anything else out there to scratch that one itch. The answer I’d say for them is “sure, that’s fair and that sucks, but maybe then it’s time to look to expand the things you’re interested in.” Idk, I got into baseball recently, that’s been a great distraction from the current season not being the best 😂

The strategies for this game is what makes me and my friend keep coming back. The only thing I dislike I players banning new maps without trying to understand them. Nighthaven labs and Emerald plains are super fun but the community keeps banning them and I have to go to Kafe or Theme park.

Speaking from experience, voice training is hard and the mental component of it is can also be hard, and then the social aspect of presenting femme in FPS games and communities can be a fucking BEAST. She's killing it imo and tbh seeing other trans people just living and vibing makes it so much easier for me to be myself and I'm both so proud of G but also so grateful for their place in the R6 community. It is really, really cool to see and very impressive in the most genuine sense of the word

Being honest these videos are good mainly because we can listen to you like a modern day radio. I literally just listen to your videos on my way to work and back home and it’s something I’m actually interested in listening rather than listening to the news. Kinda like a podcast

What got me into siege was the combination of gunplay and the operators. It’s a game where your aim is important but it’s not everything. And the way the operators on defense and attack interact. There’s synergy,counters,and more in depth you can do with understanding of all the gadgets and operators in the game. For example over my almost 3000 hours of play R6S is all the spots I’ve learned ,through trial and error,where you can set Kaid’s gadget making it difficult to deal with even for a thatcher or a Kali.

I just enjoy it’s not the same gameplay loop every single time you play. You can do something weird and trollish and win the round because it’s odd. Or those moments you setup the enemy for failure but they don’t know that. A 1 vs x in siege just feels different too the one guy can potentially win off headshots or just better info because everyone is on cams.

I dont play rainbow anymore but the skill i learned from playing it both at a strategy level and gunplay level were easily transitioned to other fps

Ive been enjoying the dichotomy of pointing out the flaws in the game offset by talking about how great the game has been and can be again. Based G strikes again

Siege is starting to follow the Overwatch route imo, where it's just the dev's horrible balancing that is taking a toll for the game. Jager being the best defender for 5yrs+, new op defs having secondary shottys and god gadgets, attackers picking more or less the same 10 or so ops (Dokk, Ace, Ash, etc.) The nerf philosophy has gone too far, they arent ballsy to REALLY buff up the weaker ops. I fucking wished we had a tachanka meta, I wish they went insane for at least one season where they unleashed their wildest buff ideas for underpowered ops.

Definitely how every round plays differently, playing XDefiant recently after a few games i get bored easily as alot of rounds play the same.

Funnily enough I came back yesterday after 6 years and I enjoy it a lot

My favourite thing about Siege is the puzzle-like nature of how the gadgets fit together. Your team might have the perfect counter to the enemies, or you might not. Either way you need to get past this one thing if you wanna get closer to winning this round. That's why I've always liked the esports of the game, because I'm nowhere near good enough to see the Siege I love in my own games, so seeing competent players go the extra mile and play a strategically sound round of Rainbow Six hits me in the brain like a truck. I don't really play the game anymore, I haven't for nearly a year, mostly because I slowly drifted away from comp shooters. But I still love the game for what it can be at its best and still devour good content about it because there's nothing like Rainbow Six Siege.

the only game I’ve played that feels as involved in a 360 degree sphere around you as siege, is The Finals. It’s still not as intricate and not exactly a competitor, but it has a similar vibe whenever you are setting up to attack or defend an objective.

I love this because at a certain time in a round u can have valk die but she has cams so her death is not in vain, u can have a bandit die n he jus used all his car batteries. it takes alot of “its ok to die” shots from ppl rather than “if u die u suck”. who’s really winning here

4:08 thats EXACTLY what I think is the core of the game: 1-Intel game (drones) 2-Modification of the map (reinforcements) and 3-Unique gadgets per op. For me literally everything else could change drastically but if they keep those 3 things im just fine with the game

Siege is the only competitive shooter that genuinely feels like a creative sandbox at the same time. Its very easy to get stuck doing meta set ups and get frustrated that the game feels samey, but if you are playing with a stack you trust and wont get immediately salty at you for trying something different, the possibilities can really feel endless. Also good teamplay is really such a huge dopamine hit, just the other day we were attacking CC on club house and ran the capitao strat from the garage wall to get bandit off of the wall the same time we breached and our other friend caught his rotation on CC window and while that is admittedly almost a defualt strat at this point, it still felt so good to pull of as quickely and clean as we did. Obviously they remembered to pick a wamai next round, and that adaptation is another thing that makes the game great.

Correct me if im wrong comments but, in Black Ops 4 they implemented a playlist where you could only queue for it solo (not in a party) because 5 stacks would just make the match unplayable for the other other of non 5 stacks. I feel that something like that for Siege would work fine.

Siege was better when you couldn’t ban operators. Because you had to open your strategy around who thought the other team would bring. Obviously, op bans make sense because some ops released broken.

I love siege from the start. The adrenaline that it gave me at the start clutching 1 vs 5 with ash n jager was unique. Nowadays I still love the combination on gunplay (the best out there for me) and the strategy part where I love to use my brain. But to be honest I got angry a lot for cheaters situation so I have to play with low rank people to don’t meet them and I got angry vs them cuz they simply suck. At this point I am addicted and I am not enjoying the same way I was first 3-4 years of siege. I think the best for me it should be to leave siege but I just don’t like any other games out there, they are all ok to play sometimes with friends but none is getting me attached like siege.

I was addicted since about 6 months after launch, I built my PC because I wanted to graduate off console in Siege specifically. This game ate me up for years, and then I finally broke the cycle right around Operation Northstar, more for life reasons than game reasons. I was clean for YEARS, things got so good. I grew, I transitioned, I started enjoying life, finally.... then my buddies started watching Pro League again, and we all hopped back on one day. And the first time back was good! We were so cynical, expecting the worst.. But instead we had fun, like the old days. We played again the next day, but it was a little less fun, a little more frustrating. But we played again the next day, and again, more of the same. But THEN, we played again, that very next day! Anyways needless to say we all relapsed. It was bad. The bickering in the discord, the salty taste in your mouth when you go to bed... all the greatest hits. Luckily Ubisoft dropped this latest season and smacked us all in the nose with a rolled up newspaper and I haven't even opened Ubisoft club in weeks. It feels good again. I never thought I would be thanking Ubisoft for killing a Ubisoft game, but in the end I shouldn't be surprised 😂

I agree with you rainbow six siege is unique in every way I no matter what people say about Ubisoft the developers are not lazy. They’re putting effort into this game. Of course, not every single season can be like deadly omen. There has to be those seasons where it is bland, but let’s not think of this as only a rainbow six siege problem currently in the online gaming space every single online game is having a hacker problem for some reason and somehow hackers are getting better and better at making updated cheats and yes, Ubisoft hasn’t done the best job but Let’s not think about this just a rainbow six siege problem because every single major game right now is having a major hacking problem so if Ub was able to find a way to reduce their cheater problem, the game will be as good or even better than it was before I wanna come to competition I do agree, but we have to remember competition doesn’t always work when Apex legends came out the fight against Fortnite. The introduced some really cool mechanics, but guess what at the core it was still another battle Royale shortly there after Fortnite copied their system, and everybody flocked back to it Apex legends is still popular. But It wasn’t as popular as it once was. And by the way, G saw your Twitter post so congratulations for finding yourself that must’ve been tough, but you got through it

What I like about the game? Well I like how the game can feel for example just last night the feeling of knowing even in a 1v4 my Valk cams would it a good and clean clutch that feeling of knowing i did something that lead to a round win is what i like about the game. But then i also like the deaths i can learn from even as a 7 year veteran of siege i still make mistakes and that kust makes it my favorite game regardless of how much i say i hate it I don't think i could ever really stop i mean what other game lets you blow open 2 floors to dome somebody on a camera i love the idea of siege and i hope it can actually become the best i can be.

i just stick with standard and level battlepass as fast as i can gunplay is just best part i enjoy after a long day of work

dude i really appreciate this video. ur so right about the negativity and i even find this in the game like. at times i hate when people say: "i hate this game!" then why r u playing. you somewhow find satisfaction playing it. dude i used to play LOL just bc of one character .overall i didn't like the game but i just played it to play for just 1 character which i found fun, the issue is with the whole game. i didn't like it. so i would just touch lol after YEARS ngl. just to play with pantheon. but now that i play for honor, i find it more fun and better i love siege. it has it's issues but i still love it dude. just as it is. when siege came out i was a gamer with a potato pc in a third world country and i used to watch the operator intros with excitement, i was like: "DUDEEE THIS IS WAY BETTER THAN CSGO IT'S SO TACTICAL AND SO COOL!" i had to work my ass off for 5 years to get my pc gaming and such and the first game i installed was r6 and since that day siege has never left my library. i started playing 2 years ago btw. it is hard? yes. is it rewarding? yes. siege is my fav game for the moment. before it was team fortress but i had to leave it behind as team fortress is abandonned by valve so. but i don't regret making r6 my fav game yk i used to be updated with the game even when i didn't have it during my potato pc era. like i would watch the new update trailers. valk, jacko, blackbeard. when blackbeard came out and i saw it's trailer i was like: "OMGG WTFFFF HE'S GOT A TACTICAL RIFLE SHIELD!!! WTFFFF!!! THAT'S CRAZYY" xD but yea ig i didn't realize how OP it was when he came out xD

Siege is that one game that pisses me off in terms of gameplay and how the studio execs handle it but damn it if I don’t think it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played. No 2 matches are ever the same and that’s one of the most special things about it

I have so much fun 5 stacking with the boys as they watch me make the greatest john wick fan film ever made or completely disgrace all of my ancestors

I think people need to chill out about siege. I’ve come from many other shooters and this is the most balanced game I’ve played that manages to stay interesting every round even with some of the repetitive aspects and skill gaps. Complaining about randoms, cheaters, battle passes, or sweaty opponents are weak complaints and also common amongst most shooters on the market. I think this game does a better job at adhering to its identity and creating balance than many of its competitors like Fortnite, apex, call of duty, battlefield, halo, overwatch. I’m not sure what to say about valorant and csgo cause I haven’t played them but I’ve heard plenty of complaints about those games too.

Rainbow 6 needs to bring back old house for the quick play hyper casual mode. Then it will be perfect. Keep old recruit as on option there (shield and 57 recruit ideally) I love getting the boys together and playing that, use coms for verbal shitposting and have a great time. I miss old house

Yes, but now they go by G instead. On twitter they recently explained they've had health issues related to sleep from puberty as well as gender identity confusions and mental health problems as well, and seems to have explored that over the years, culminating to January of this year, when G started taking estrogen. If you followed G on twitter before and after, you can see the drastic improvement to their visible health, mental health and happiness through the pictures since the begining of this year. On top of that, they're also doing voice training. Hence the general yassification of content over here

I don’t know why everyone in this community freaks out about lack of content. At this point there’s so many operators and maps, are we really starved for two new operators every season?? And honestly, the last few years of Overwatch 1 where there was no content and just balancing, best years of that game for most people haha if they released better skins than the ones they did for the membership thing, I think they’d be sittin pretty

im probably gonna take this season mostly off because of burnout from the last 3 seasons and a super high quantity of cheaters but i love the game, theres absolutely nothing like it and the state the game is in irrespective of cheaters is actually pretty agreeable

If they focus on the later half of this season on purely fixing the game and dealing with cheaters and the next season is a banger we would be so back
