He didn't just say "it's okay I'm here now", he reassured her by telling her how to deal with it on her own if it happened again in the future and by doing so relieves her of the anxiety of it happening again because even if it happens she'll know how to deal with it, which (speaking as a person with anxiety) is a huge thing. Long story short, Tadano's a saint and I want a friend like him.

Man the chalkboard scene is honestly one of the most beautiful scenes I've seen in anime. And the fact that it's displayed in the first episode is amazing. This anime has definitely earned a spot in my top 10 favourites, it's just such a great comfort anime and I love it

Tadano is the kind of person we should all want to be friends with. He’s also the kind of person we should all wish we could be.

In case it hasn’t been said a lot of characters in this show are actually named after their own personalities and character quirks. Najimi would be the best example Osana najimi translates to childhood friend and he is friends with everyone at school. Not only that but his outfit is the male student shirt but a skirt from the female uniform a reference to how your childhood friend could either be male or female

I believe you are correct, but it's worth mentioning that calling a Komi a "goddess" will probably worsen her anxiety. She believes in genuine kindness and just want some caring friends, but instead, she got a bunch of cult followers.

@@kerbodynamicx472 Yamai isn't a good person but she's still funny as a character. Komi is better only with Chadano and we all agree with this, we are her servants and we have to pray her as the goddess she is in a friendly manner so her anxiety wouldn't worsen her mental state.

I have been waiting SO LONG for you to finally get Komi on here, and you did a phenomenal job. You've made me and a ton of others happy with your wholesomeness and dedication. Please do season 2!

Apparently,some people complain about Season 2's animation qualities and divergence based on what TheGamer says in their article.As for me,I'm enjoying Season 2 so far.

The kidnapping bit, while a bit real, is still character development for Komi where she stood up for something she believed was wrong for the first time. Which is a big ole win

I've struggled with anxiety for over a decade, so i'm probably very biased towards this show and Komi as a character. But the first scene with the chalk board where Komi wrote about her troubles legit drove me to tears and it was only the first episode.

Y'know I probably never would have given Komi-san a shot beyond the hype train, but this video made me fall in love with the show in like ten minutes. Then you go and have ANOTHER 30 minutes of season 1 to gush over! It's amazing!

The more I watch this channel the less rare the OP double win seems😂

Anime are getting better in quality over the years. It's not say that animations before 2000 are bad, but there's a lot more limitations at the time.

This is my all time favorite show. As someone with severe social anxiety, I loved watching and really relating into it. The animation is gorgeous and I was constantly laughing every episode while still deeply understanding Komi.

I honestly love to come on every once and a while and see that you have uploaded. Recently I fell behind and into a large amount of work and today I just finished catching up. It honestly hurt when I heard that youtube is not letting your masterpieces of videos be seen by more. I came by your channel by pure chance, I was watching an anime on crunchyroll and wanted to listen to the op. I searched up on youtube and I accidentally put a W after I typed the name. I don't know how lucky I had to have been to see this channel grow and shrink in the time I've been here. It truly was a blessing that I hit that W key that day. You may not read this far but I truly enjoy the fact that I am able to see this channel while I can, and hopefully the rate of viewers will get better traction and lift this channel to better heights. Better than it ever was. That is my hope for this channel, hopefully it's yours as well.

What I love about komi san in the anime is the fact that you can identify the secondary characters even if they are just background

Am I a horrible person for laughing everytime Komi stutters? I know she has a hard time speaking but god damn it's so endearingly funny. Seeing her talk more and more as the series goes on is beautiful. Also Yamai is literally the one thing wrong. I get it's played for laughs...but it's way too damn freaky and gross. She literally did one good thing for Komi and that's all she got. These videos are lovely! Thank you for making them and give your insight to lovely anime.

Komi Can't Communicate was definitely a much needed piece of media in my life during the pandemic. A genuinely feel good show about a nobody befriending and capiring the heart of the most beautiful girl in town. Not that I would know anything about the ladder. The prior on the other hand though...

1:50 Not many people I've seen actually realized that the "shadowy figures" display here is a direct reference to Detective Conan. It's how they portray the killers in that show before revealing who did it.

Just discovered this channel, and I gotta say I'm enjoying it. Narration is great, and it's nice to see someone commenting on the good things about an anime. After shamelessly bingeing this show, most review videos I found were "everything wrong with" style content, so this was nice to see someone not taking things too seriously, but serious enough to recognize the talent and details out into this show. Yeah the story would honestly be a lot more boring without the narration in my opinion. Usually I like when a story takes more of a show don't tell approach but in this case the story is more interesting from an outsider perspective with occasional snippets into what the characters are thinking/feeling. They could get away with just using thought bubbles for the characters but the narrator adds a lot of humor that wouldn't be there otherwise.

Posting the second comment to just express my gratitude and appreciation to you for making these videos. Whenever I might feel down or bored or stressed I can make it all go away by watching you, it brings new energy and also reminds me why I love anime so so much!

As a fan of the manga I have enjoyed the anime adaption. I also liked how you pointed out that Tadano's asides parallel Kasuma's as they deal with the insanity around them.

I truly love the way you do your videos I love how much passion you put into them and I hope you can keep it up.

I love komi can't communicate because it's just so adorable and I thoroughly enjoyed the next season and I hope you'll watch that one too

Ikr, Komi can't communicate belongs to a genre I never shown a hint of interest before. I hear it a while back, then saw its manga on the bookshelves of my school library, recommended by my friends. Later on, the "don't lewd Komi" memes intrigued me, as this seems like the opposite of what I believe the internet would do. Then I watched a few clips on KZread such as this one, it restored my faith in humanity.

@@kerbodynamicx472 While it's no masterpiece, (except fo rmaybe a masterpiece of wholesome), it's still great. There are people who have gotten fed up with how long the sereis is and how slow progression is, (there's almost 400 chapters), but I consider it to be a slice of life first and a romance second.

I again just want to show my support. These videos are not only really funny, but its always really fun to listen to someone gush about an anime that I also love, so I love these wins videos. Also also... just how many times your videos have gotten me to sit down and watch a show that I may otherwise have missed. My Dress Up Darling, My Hero Academia, Love is War... Thanks Justin, I've worked an insane amount of hours creating content for all channels, so far about 14 videos I think. Gonna keep pushing a little bit more but we're almost back on track, just need a little luck and love from the YT algorythm now lol.

As a person who read the manga, the ending of episode 12 was a reference to the way the mangaka writes their To Be Countinued at the end of a chapter. And as a music connoisseur the song we hear during the light hearted scenes are a plinky version of Komis theme and the serious themes are a guitar version of the chalkboard scene titled "Chalkboard Talks" or alternatively "To the First Friend"

Thanks to this video for finally getting me to watch this anime, and as a bonus, for some reason it made me watch the sub which was my first anime ever doing that with! 2 max wins to you for this video sir!

You really help me appreciate every anime you cover more that i would if you didn't cover them. also a little moment that i liked that you didn't mention. in episode 9 when komi goes to Nakanaka's house and turns from anxious to excited she grows cat ears like many other times in the anime when she gets excited. at that moment the dog that's behind her starts growling because she kinda turns into a cat. i wanted to mention it just in case you didn't catch it.

something thatgets hinted at here but more so in the next season is Tadano's innate ability to read anyone! It's something that makes him so funny and such a good mc because he can see straight through people and uses to make friends. It means he has no real prejudice and that's why he deosn't make up weird situations in his head.

I'm rarely rewatching school anime but Komi-san is on another level.. A year after I watched the 2nd Season, I decided to watching it again.. and boy it's one of the best school anime I've ever watch.. Probably be the 1st anime I'd rewatch every year.. My favorite character is of course Chadano..
