I totally agree with you. I love that the movie and the actors started and finished with movie with no expectations of the amount of awards they have received. Unlike a lot of the movies that were released closer to the awards season, this movie was released early in 2022, with a lot of the moviegoers finding about it via social media and word of mouth. It’s incredible, the dialoue beautiful, the music amazing, the editing crazy good and the performances are nuanced and shows the performers’ range.

You got to love Spielberg's reaction! Despite changing the box-office landscape at 27, he only received Oscar recognition in his late 40s. Seeing young filmmakers who grew up watching his films win, for a delightfully weird science fiction no less, is one of Spielberg's greatest legacies.

It's already becoming too common to find many people calling Everything Everywhere a lousy movie and that it's overrated and that makes me even happier that the Oscars gave the top prize to this gem. I still consider it an absolute classic. EEAAO broke the record for most ABOVE THE LINE wins with SIX wins (pic/actress/sup actress/sup actor/screenplay/director) in the Academy Award history. I got to see this film in theaters on my birthday a year ago for the first time with my whole family, and while they didn't completely get it, I was blown away and instantly knew this film joined the ranks of some of my favorite films of all-time. So imagine my surprise when it not only took home the Best Picture Oscar, but six more?! I couldn't be happier, this film is a miracle and it means so much to me. Congrats to the Daniels, their cast, their crew, and A24!!

I've seen it in movie theater. This is the first sci-fi movie to win an Oscar for Best Picture. But did you know in 1977 that sci-fi blockbuster movie should have won an Oscar for Best Picture? It's Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

It was probably because he knew all he had to say was “everything” and everyone in the room would know that the film had won. Which is clearly the case as they start clapping the moment he says the first word. So he slowly finishes it like “well, i don’t need to finish saying it, but I will.”

As per Geeta there are infinite birth death cycles , Parallel existance of us in infinite parallel universes and to free from all these cycles only Mokha(Liberation) is the ultimate path. What EEAAO movie shown is about one concept called parallel existsnce. Why living with love is important and not to forgot ones own Dharma and how it affects not only in one existance(like here) but also parallel existances

And phooey to every single goofball who said this movie sucks. But to be fair, if there is any other nominee that deserves to share the Best Picture win with EEAAO, it's Top Gun: Maverick.
