I don't agree. Always land your primary heir as soon as he is married and give him place in council. Why? 1) He will start earning money, prestige, piety you can use after succesion 2) He would always be willing to ally and you can grant him ducal titles which you can have too many 3) He would always be likely to offer his child to you for guardianship if allied, so you still influence further succesion (anyway, you get a hook as a dynasty head if somehow not willing) 4) being in council grants additional experience to lifestyle, so after succesion you would have more perks.

I always give my kids at least a barony once they get married. Never before (idk if they can break betrothal but I wait until they're officially married). But I always land all my kids even if I disinherit someone. Always want to have access to a couple generations ago on hand for marriages and doing thus ensures

A huge tip: if you are a vassal take March contract. It halves the taxes you pay and increases your levies, garrison, reinforce rate and decreases your maintenance by 20%

Thanks for the tips! I have a bunch of hours as well but some of these tips I have never put together in my brain. Never thought about how Stewardship can actually benefit more than Marital lifestyle for the domain size :)

Keep in mind back when I did the video the buildings gave flat bonuses, which are more effective to stack together from multiple buildings. Now most of them are % based, which has diminishing returns and dont scale off the Strategist Tree (they just stack additively, with diminishing returns again). So basically its still worth to stack Stewardship, but there may be more value in Martial than there was back then when it was flat buffs.

Will there be more tutorials for CK 3? I just watched this one. Over a year after your upload, still I learned a lot. So thanks for that, mate.

Maybe. I have issues with the event/micromanage spam these days with royal court and 50 positions that dies every month. But I also enjoy the game overall. So we'll have to see, but thanks for the compliment and support! :)

Thanks for the good info. I find that ransoming a captive during a war does not pay the amount it should and is less by a substantial amount. Do you know if there is a reason for this or is it a bug? Thank you

You can always technically ransom for less, the game will default to the cash they have at hand, up to a max value based on the rank of the ransom person. The issue of war, is that the ai will usually burn all they got for mercenaries, so they often have no money, unless they are so rich they can afford their whole army being raised. But yeah, there are situations where ransoming during the war isnt good, but even then... If it enables you to drop under 100% WS so you can keep going, so you can keep looting/capturing, then it may be worth ransoming for less.

Thank you for the response. What happens is that the ransom is say 130, it tells me 130 will be paid and then it has been paid but my account only goes up by sometimes 30 or 40. It happens a lot and I'm not sure if it is just in my current game or happened in my previous run through as I've only just noticed so I keep an eye out each time I ransom now.

@@JimBananas Very often the popup after you sent the offer shows the wrong number. Thats due to their balance changing between you sending and them receiving, since theres a delay of a few days depending on court distance. Its kind of annoying that the ransom still goes through even though they dont have the money anymore, but yeah

Do you have any tips on changing your primary heir under partition? I play Tuscany and marry Gavril (the Serbian genius) but often my first son doesn’t inherit genius but a later son does. I consider disinheritance way too expensive. Basically I play as a meritocrat and try to create powerful vassals out of my best councilors and educate their kids to keep it going. Problem is the game loves to kill my good characters in random events and then I ragequit lol

you should make more ck3 videos since it dropped on consoles
