Boogie lives! THANK YOU for keeping the flag flying so adeptly. Boogie, swing, Dixie, jazz, blues, rock'n'roll -- these are all true products of the North American spirit and things we should always hold close if we're going to survive and preserve our sanity. We need all-out binges of the true spirit of North America to reset our circuit breakers and restore ourselves to who we are. And the same is true for all the Americas -- the true spirit of Latin America as well, the true spirit of mambo, salsa, cha cha, bolero, samba, cumbia, bachata, folkloric music and dance, and so on. Just like jazz and blues IT DIDN'T GET CREATED BY ACCIDENT -- it's the true spirit of the people welling up and expressing out. Our cultures survived and at times flourished by holding onto and imbibing the true spirit of our own kind. There is so much degradation of culture and music now -- machine-made, mind-numbing robot beats designed for drug-fueled frenzies so that the promoters can make tens of thousands of dollars in single nights peddling drugs among the thousands of screaming, slobbering, booze-swilling fools. Ugly music being purposefully played too loud for people to be able to speak with the persons beside them so that they'll buy more drinks for lack of being able to talk to others. So much of current, degraded "culture" is a trip to deserved hell for those who make it that way, and a trip to insanity and stupidity for the vast hordes of sheeple trapped within all the various flavours of degradation. We need to hold on to our true culture expressions and hope for saner, healthier days sometime in the future, once the write-off generations are out of the way.

I play by ear i hear somehting and can repeat it not for note, I cannot 'sight read' music but I CAN read it slowly! SUPERB RIFF YOU PLAYED. Sadly over the years I stopped playing and I have forgotten than wonderfu boogie woogie that got me into playing piano and guitar. Arthritis now prevens me playing guitar at all now. ...At my high school the day before graduation (a lonnnnnnng time ago)... the seniors always put on a show for the high school underclass, our parents, relatives and friends in attendance... it was always a big deal ... In my case maybe three people outside my family even knew I played a piano.... so when my classmates asked me what I was going to do for a performance... I jokingly said ‘heck, I’ll play something on a piano’... So here’s this tall, athletic nerd... (I was last to perform something)... walking out, decked out in a suit and sitting down at a piano, making a Victor Borge formal type entrance. My classmates thought I was going to play with a flare of course - chop sticks - as a joke (which is what I did at the rehearsal)... instead I played my full score, transcribed version of the Exodus Song (from the movie) ...after that jaw drop ...The Principal said ‘oh, you’re not done yet!’ and made me do an encore... So I played a fifteen minute boogie alllllll over the keyboard using three different base lines from simple to complex, (even included what I called the walking octaves)... always loved doing unexpected jaw drops… This performance brings back memories of: ‘never judge a book by its cover’... nor ‘never judge a tall, athletic nerd boy by his appearance’. All the VERY BEST!
