I keep going back to watching this and today, I started reading the comments. I didn't realize they were a father daughter team. Oh gosh, as a dad, I can't help but think of how proud of her I would be. Such talent!! She wasn't struggling at all!! It was clear that she WAS HAVING A GOOD TIME!. To me, that's the ultimate, to enjoy your talent. As this video was years ago, I hope this synergy continues.

Not great but grand.

What a fantastically clean drum solo. What struck me instantly was that she never lost the original beat with her hi-hat. Watch her left foot, the original count is always there and it comes naturally to her. "Back in the day" when I took the solo I always felt like I was playing the music and words with the drums. I never used the cymbals much. Most drummers go all over the place with a solo forgetting the beat and song all together. Dads no slouch on the piano either. Great job, very enjoyable.

I just flat out LOVE to see young people playing well. It's something almost all of them can enjoy throughout their lifetimes. And when they get older then can impress their grandkids.

Hi, it’s not complex. I can play all those notes; but not necessarily in the right order.

This is absolutely and great, especially that it's father-daughter. She is an exceptional creative drummer. I love it.

OMG she's a hell of a drummer. Every note clear as a bell and bang on time. Proud Dad ... who wouldn't be ?

@@2000Walden Those are all wonderful musicians. I respect them all! In fact I once sat down for drinks with Art Blakey and JC Heard at Bakers Keyboard Lounge back in 1975.

I eventually learned to set the pace of my left foot, then put it on autopilot to coordinate the other three limbs. It took a while and lots of boring practice.

I just love her how throughout the performance, her face never stopped smiling. Music is all about releasing your soul into your instrument and that's exactly what she did

@@georgeplungis5283 Hi George! The 'Trap' is a drum kit. It's an old school term from 1940's that originated from the small Jazz and Blues venues. The stages were small and the percussionist seemed to be 'Trapped' behind the kit. Hence the term 'Traps'.
