Just glad nintendo isn't as heavy handed with takedown for released games. Shorts do help as well as community tabs, let alone people who have been on social media for years aren't always gonna have good ideas. KZread does play favorites though enough pressure or time does make some improvements, especially the algorithm. Isn't really my role to cancel bad people, but many believe it is theirs, so they get disappointed when it doesn't go their way as they can only take things to 11, like harassing people who play hogwarts' legacy (transgenders vs anything that represents JK Rowling), or the tekken 8 mess (we good with 2 new blacks 😂, that's way more than ff16 which made them culturally irrelevant for medieval times despite history saying otherwise).

Yeah I have to admit the guy who made the video made it seem like KZread is gonna die but only some of them are actually leaving the platform and not being in the sidelines or just taking a break

As someone who grew up with matpat from day one I literally cried and broke down, I was there when he came up with gtlive, game theory, film theory, food theory, and lastly style theory. I will always remember him..

Honestly it makes sense KZreadrs have effectively become celebrities who have always had shorter careers than most people often just because they can but also because being famous is extremely exhausting KZread is a job people retiring and quitting was inevitable nothing can last forever there will likely continue to be generations of creators

Y’all understand that these KZreadrs are not “quitting” Implying that they give up or want to forget things. Every big KZreadr is probably under mental stress and lacks ability to do some things in life every now and then in order to please the fans. Understand that some people just need to give it up, and tbh most of these people will probably come back occasionally, as long as they can live their life

He’s not quitting forever. He’s still going to be doing stuff on KZread just not as the face of it so he can have more time with his family. Watch the actual video he sent out.

These people are just stepping back in their roles on youtube, rather than completely quitting youtube. These youtubers are people too, and their lives have changed in the 10 years since they've started, just like ours have. Matpat is turning to a administrative role rather than a development and production role. Stampy is just ending his lovely world series, but still producing content. Tom Scott is taking a gap year essentially. He will still be posting on his podcast, but just wont upload on youtube while he focuses on himself.

He's not going to stop uploading entirely, but his uploads will not be based on a schedule anymore. He'll just upload when he wants to. Also, he'll still appear in the podcasts he's been in. Seeing great KZreadrs quit and move on, is a mix of both good and sad. Good, because they can have time with family and focus on other things, and sad to see people we grew up with leave and quit making content.

CaptainSparkles isn't quitting youtube entirely. He's going to stop making minecraft videos and do something else.

And he’s only retiring/taking a Mika Häkkinen sabbatical from the Tom Scott channel. He still uploads regularly on his other channels.

The popular KZreadrs may be retiring, but with a end, normally comes a new beginning. Hopefully this will lead to the rise of more young content creators who can not exactly “replace” but just substitute them. And some will hopefully make the platform better than before.

Y’all are acting like it’s a bad thing. These KZreadrs have their own lives and they all spent a good amount of time on the platform changing ours. Sure, there are plenty of KZreadrs that don’t care about their audience and just want to pump out videos, not to mention they’re straight up shitty people, but there are still great KZreadrs out there, and eventually there will he new faces on the platform that’ll become the forefront of KZread. Tbh I’m pretty excited to see what the platform becomes, and the new people that’ll become famous on it.

MatPat isn't quitting, he's stepping away from the Theory channels. Tom Scott said he's taking a break. Stampy only ended the Lovely World series, he's not quitting either. Idk about CaptainSparkles and whoever the bald guy is.

I love how just blatantly wrong this whole thing is.

When I heard Captain sparkles is quitting KZread, I thought of the odd ones out because that’s one of his favorite KZreadrs and I was like I feel so bad for him

5 people quit KZread. MatPat sold his channel to China years ago and is only now stepping away.
