For me beta was amazing enough. What they are doing now all nerfing is boring.

Awful? nahh thats what made this game so fun. the random chaos with unlimited amount of things you could do. then pros turned it super competitive and took that away from us

Many who say that the old siege was better and more fun didn't even play it then or are simply blinded by nostalgia. And all that remains is to watch the gameplay of the old siege on youtube and rely on it to say that "it used to be better." Most of them talk about the lighting, the atmosphere and the game was more about tactics and realism, but everything went wrong because of esports. Zero mentions that the game had more bugs and crashes of servers, but did not had normal training. Nothing is said about the terrible balance of many operators who were either very useless or too strong. They also forget that the siege has always been heroic and competitive, claiming to be esports, and tactics and realism are just the elements that highlight it. By the way, the siege has never been realistic, because the game from the very beginning had unrealistic conventions (two huge fortifications each, among other heavy equipment) and operators with delusional gadgets (a machine gun from World War II, a pistol shooting injections), and a tactful approach both was and remained. What is the terrible design of many maps, frequent spawn-peeks, runouts , vote kicks, toxicity and non-registration of hits. Do you want realism? then take only recruits and disable the HUD completely, it will be fun, as Ready or Not. I can't say that the new siege is better in everything. The night maps and T-hunt should have been left, there is no way to choose between the old and new HUD, the new arcade mode and the game against AI quickly get bored, and the changes of some operators simply made them less playable. Plus, bugs with server crashes and the game itself, as well as Ubisoft's lame monetization policy. But the siege that we have now is much better in terms of convenience and honesty of gameplay, and without most updates and changes, many players would have quickly abandoned the game and it would most likely have died much earlier.

ofcoursely old siege needed advance, but UBI degenerated siege. that's why many players like old siege. if ubi have done a proper updates, only few guys would have hoped old siege. (I can't neglect some good patches, but there are so much more bad patches.) In addition, even if there was a useless operators, it was funnier than current siege since ubi did a nerf and nerfs for every operators and gameplay.

Yes the game was buggy as hell but it still is. Yes many operators were too strong or useless but this remains til today. At least old six siege was fun for everybody and more of a tactic shooter than a COD clone. So whats your point again?

​@@EntitusschuleHis whole point is that Siege is less buggier than now, and the same tactics are used in modern siege compared to old siege, dont compare it to COD just because players became better...

The days of old siege may have been broken beyond belief but atleast it was fun/funny. now its just a combination of terrible changes (or no changes at all) and an overabundance of cheaters while ubisoft asks for more money.

You only remember the funny times. Plenty of people would get ridiculous mad if these horrendous bugs cost them ranked games, you more than likely included. People just enjoy to complain about what is new

we we’re younger. most games those days were still fun, e3 was still around. the game was great. even with its issues. the invisibility and invincibility glitches, ddossers were all terrible yes but the game still was fresh not everyone knew every pixel of the game it was not as sweaty. operators had character like bandit with 3 barbed wire,hibana pellets not working, iq seeing through smoke so on and on but the game was still fun regardless now adays you face about 3 cheaters a game at least lately. ubisoft not making new maps. reworking older ones and making them some how worse. operators that are so one dimensional or just bad in general at least on release or they are very one map one site picks, operator changes no one asked for and so on. the game before was more fun because it was basically experimental not anymore. we have a ranking system that is good for about 10% of players and those are top players in the planet. i know before you would gain 0-10 elo for winning a diamond match game but brother was the feeling amazing when you hit it. sorry for the mini rant/look back at old siege. it was just fun. also dont forget the friends you had along the way from years 1-now❤️

Early Siege was so incredibly fun at the time, but man would it be painful to play again today. The Lack of reinforcement pool, the lack of contextual ping, the inability to do LITERALLY ANYTHING while queueing for a game, the fact that when you threw out your second drone it destroyed the first drone, the overpowered and annoying crouch spamming and lean spamming, etc. The reason why everybody had so much fun in siege was because the average skill for all players was really low, basically everyone was pretty bad at the game and we were all figuring out just how complex this game was together, but now, with so many tryhards and cheaters and MnK players, Year 1 Siege would be miserable today, hell BattlEye didn't even exist in Siege yet. I feel like if more people had access to the Early Builds of Siege, like in Operation Throwback, they would really start to appreciate just how far Siege has come, not that I defend every change that Ubisoft has made, I most certainly don't.

Part of me is happy Jynxzi revived this game but the other part of me is mad cuz it just gave them years upon years to ask for more money due to it and make zero fixed except for stuff everyone universally agreed upon being bad like frost rework etc.

bunch of map litter got removed bodies got removed lighting got ground up changed, thats why the graphics and pixels are still the same but looks night and day different. go look at old glacier and black ice in year 1-2 it was so so so nice man so nice and nostalgiac, smoke and fog effects also got changed/ removed

I think the title should be: How awful it could be. I enjoyed the overall experience more back then.

Backrooms 6 siege

Time was a lot simpler. The first 2 years of siege was prime. It should have died year 3, honestly. Granted. Yes, it was buggy as hell. Ranked and no mnk capabilities. This became more of pc adaptation instead of staying console. It was the sake of keeping the game alive. Crazy how they had something unique. Now it's everyone trying to keep up with the cod playstyle and speed. Another 8 years. Let's see how that ages.

Yeah old siege was buggy but in comparison to now its not even the same game anymore. Almost all markers that made it its own thing are gone. Old siege is to new siege what Rainbow six Raven Shield was to Rainbow six Vegas
