Hey prince - I watched this video one year ago in a time where I had to make a decision what to do with my life. It was not about what exact job I wanna do - that´s still an open question - but it was about the question in WHICH WAY DO I WANT TO LIVE. And to be honest this exact video has changed a lot in how I see myself and how I see life - it awoke something called the "growth-mindset" for me and I´m living it every day now. I live my life in a way in which I get better every day - people that knew me say they never expected me to become such a disciplined person. I´ve learned a new language since then and am getting straigtht A´s. Of course I am the one doing this but it remains unanswered whether I would do it without this video or not - the answer is probably not. So thank you very much for this awesome content! PS: I have surely watched it more than 50 times back then :D

This is what I need to hear today. I took my final exam for my Mandarin course and failed, and felt EXTREMELY discouraged. For the record, it is a college level course and I'm only 14, so I guess it makes sense for it to be difficult. But I was still very disappointed in myself for failing. I need to remember that failing is a part of life, and I need to try again

This video right here motivated me to get out of my comfort zone and finally apply for university and study to be a paramedic - which is my ultimate dream job. I struggled during school and was always an under performing student. I thought I would never be smart enough and I would just waste a lot of time and money. I have now just completed my first year at uni studying paramedicine and my unit grades were all high distinctions. I cant believe I ever doubted myself and thought of myself lesser! Don't get me wrong it has it's moments but I'm slowly but surely getting there!

I’ve actually already been accepted into a program in 2024 to be a paramedic in New Orleans (I’ve only ever lived in Australia) and I’m so excited to not only get on road but have the opportunity to spend 2 years in a different country!

A lot of truth in this speech. I was a short scrawny teenager who wanted to be a soldier. I was told I was too small and that I wouldn’t make it. After a couple of years in the Infantry, I applied for Officer Candidate School. I was told I’d never make it. After being promoted to Captain, I thought about becoming an Airline Pilot even though I wore glasses. The Air Force said no, so I decided to do it on my own. I did my flight training while working a mind-numbing, stable office job. When I quit that job, everyone thought I was nuts. I was 38 considered too old to start out as a pilot. I’d never see the cockpit of a jet, after all so few make it. I’m 61 today and looking at retirement from an amazing career as that same Airline Pilot I was told I could never be. I’ve watched the Northern Lights reflect off the snow in Arctic Canada, crossed the equator more times than I can count. I’ve seen every continent on this planet, fly fished in some awesome spots. I’ve hiked the Scottish Highlands, Alps, Rockies, Andes and the Appalachians. The only ocean I haven’t swam in is the Arctic, only because it was just way too cold (ok, call me a wimp). It’s been an awesome life. When I’m on my death bed, I think my regret will be that I wish I had more time because I always wanted to spend more time at my mind-numbing office job…NOT.

The fact that ballet was in this all this time made me cry. I was 14 when i started ballet, and I started cause I was always crying about ballet, I loved it so much and I was so sad that I didn’t start earlier. Then I found a class that accepts me, and ever since I’ve stepped into the studio I felt like I belong there. Every time I go up the stairs, hearing the classical music and the laughter of my classmates, my hair in a bun and the water bottle in my hand, I feel like I belong. It’s been a year now and I cry nearly every day because I didn’t start when I was 3 like everyone else and I really really want to be a ballerina. My family wants me-well, pressures me to do something academical. And I really, really feel like I should be a ballerina. Ballet is what makes me smile and cry and work hard. It’s my passion and it hurts.

It's been five years since I first watched this, and still believe is one of the most powerful inspirational and motivational videos ever. I come back once in a while when the thief 'doubt' enters my house.

This is one of the best motivational videos i've ever seen to live my life. While watching this video I could remember countless times that I didn't talk to a girl or do something crazy or commit myself to something I wanted badly. Those memories fucking hurt, but I don't want live like that anymore. Because of you, i'm going to live my life fearlessly. Im going to watch this every day till I am living my life to the fullest on my own with energy for life that I never had before.

I watch this video every month. Sometimes being a full time student, double majoring and working full time is hard. I've been to 11 countries and people automatically assume I'm rich. A lot of people my age say they can't afford to travel, but they don't work and money magically appears every Friday night.

Congrats on your amazing accomplishments! :) I just earned 3 Assoc degrees and a certification and am currently getting my B.S. in Geology and love it! Suicide is never an good option! Go out do something like I do, I like to go out and help people, go help elders cross the road go talk to homless about their lives, because homless people are more lonely and sad then you are! You will make their day if you talk to them! Become friends with them and they will treasure you. Find happines. Its small things that matter the most!

I’m so happy I saw this even if I’m so late. Me and my boyfriend are doubting our choice to continue with our business because his parents keep telling us we need school for a successful life and job. We love what we do, we put every piece of our soul into what we do. At the jobs I had at fast food restaurants and cleaning services I could never feel anything similar to when I work in our business. I bet we can be successful with this business, we just need to believe and stop listening to people who tell us what we need and have to do. I’m pursuing my dream.

This video was life-changing for me. When I was in 7th grade I was overweight, highly anxious, and socially awkward. I started to realize I needed to change, and I started to run on the treadmill 2 miles per day, every day, for 6 months. I became extremely sad and angry because it felt as if nothing had changed. Then, this video came out... I watched it, and my motivation came back. I again started to run every day for 2 whole years and putting on 2+ miles time I ran. This video kept me going, and if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have lost 20 pounds, became mentally stable, and found happiness within myself.

brett beaver yeah but the greatest basketball player of all time and he didn't make the varsity team. That shows tremendous importance that there's always an area to improve in and grow. To never lose focus.

After switching colleges 3 times, changing majors multiple times, falling into pits of self doubt, and wanting to give up these last 5 years. I finally started following my passions and dreams, and this video is a beautiful reminder to never let those things out of sight. Take chances and risks to achieve your dreams people, it's all worth it. I'm now entering my last 5 weeks until graduation and I can't believe I've made it this far. Amazing message Prince Ea :)

I spent a year motivational speaking in schools across the UK. I watched this video every morning before I walked into each school and it hit me just as hard every single time. This guy is so underrated.

We've never lived in a beautiful house, we've struggled for money. My parents didn't get to finish college. My dad works so hard to earn the money we use for food, clothes, and anything else. Many think I'm dreaming too big. But hear this, I'm going to become an architect. And I will buy or build or do anything to get my parents the big and beautiful house we never had. They will never have to worry about money, no need for stress. I'm going to do it, and I will never stop trying.
