When they call Night Train Lane a "walk-on" for the Rams, it's not an exaggeration. Lane was working in an aircraft factory and didn't like it. On the way to work, he passed by Rams HQ on the bus. So one day, he got off the bus and went into the office and asked for a try-out. He got one and told the team he was a wideout. The coach said he looked like a DB and moved him to defense. Thus is history made.

Nightrain literally is the reason why the Clothesline and Facemask penalties are ILLEGAL in the NFL. He loved to give what he called the Nightrain necktie also known as a clothesline tackle. Then the NFL put facemasks on the helmets and he realized that he could grab those and pull his victims down even easier.

I guarantee in four years James Harrison should be the next man on this list. Debo was just that Debi a straight BULLY. #92 for the Steelers Bengals Steelers Patriots and Steelers was a intimidating force consistently fined by the NFL for simply hitting guys too hard. He is part of the reason for rule changes due to concussions with some of the most ferocious hits doled out in league history. If he isn’t a first ballot inductee then ask colt mccoy or Josh crobbs what they think! He is what you call a lights out hitter because he knocked guys lights out literally. The video said vinatieri an Antonio gates are shoe ins. Vinatieri is the greatest clutch kicker and gates was good as a pass catcher but as overall football players outta those theee I’m taking James DEBO Harrison. I was working on a tv show the Jeff reed shiw he was the Steelers kicker an one episode was the linebackers the starters. Clark haggans Joey porter James farrior and Larry Foote were the starters and they brought along a unknown at the time teammate who wasn’t in the shoe but who was sitting in the audience . I didn’t know who he was but I know he played because he was with them and he was huge. Well as the taping was going on I saw Debo on his phone an he was in a conversation that he obviously wasn’t enjoying so he ended the call well his phone kept ringing an a visibly irritated Debo I guess didn’t want his phone to keep ringing an instead of blocking the caller or turning his phone off he went ahead an snapped his cell phone in half silencing the phone for eternity 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I was amazed at how with ease he snapped a cell phone in half. I thought my god this man can break phones an probably Bones. From that day on I referred to him as phones and bones Harrison…. I'm going to Montclair State University in September. So excited to be going to a place where Sam Mills played his college ball. The school pride kicks in there. When you go to a school that doesn't have too many NFL players, you appreciate the ones that made it so much more. Never saw him play but I know he was a special player. Part of the Dome Patrol defense in New Orleans and then helped Carolina to the NFC title game quickly. I'm majoring in sports Communication. Hopefully I can have a successful career and be a known alumist like Mills.

Good thing Moon changed the narrative even if he never won a super bowl and the oilers were a mess especially the wild 93 season he is still has to be top 10 qb all time. You ones saying not too 10 when he retired he was 3rd all time in every QB stat 49,325 passing yards and 291 passing tds all this in his 30s and 40s imagine if he played in his 20s too. He's a 5 time consecutive pro bowler 2x All pro linebacker the 2008 defense a player of the year. He also became the first undrafted free agent in NFL history to win this award. He had a part in the steelers going to 3 super bowls. And of course the icing on the cake that makes his a NFL Future hall of famer He has one of the longest and biggest plays made in Super Bowl history. I'm Super Bowl 43 he intercepted the football in the end zone and ran it back for a 100 yd touchdown which to help the steelers to win the Super Bowl. In considering in the early parts of his career he was a player that no one considered good enough to be on any team and was cut multiple times. Even by the steelers he was cut but then brought back in and got a chance to really shine. And we don't need to make any reason for him to wait 10 or 20 years after he's eligible for the Hall of Fame.

Mills as well as London fletcher where some of my favorite linebackers to watch simply cause they had motors that never stopped Fletcher should get in off of not missing a game since his Second year and is 20 tackles behind Ray Lewis and did it being the best lb on most of his teams with next to no True help sideline to sideline

Why you say "just" 22 players? That accounts for 6% of all HoF players! That is amazing, given the fact that there were 12 rounds in the older drafts, and rookie free agents are and were used as camp bodies only, facing almost impossible odds to make the final cuts, leave alone end up a regular and finally a HoFer... (and it just shows how often scouts miss talent)

It’s a shame really they wanted to keep him out the nfl in his 20s because of fear of what he would do as a passer of buried that myth that black QBs can’t play QB. Sadly inbreds today still find ways like calling black QBs RBs to cover what they really want to call them

I don't understand why the St. Louis Rams would win the Super Bowl and then change the uniforms the very next season. That has to be the dumbest decision. Of course they didn't win another Super Bowl until after they switched back to those uniforms.
