Nice video. I keep an old laptop with Techstream v14 and the same cable in the glove compartment at all times. I'm not exactly sure why, but it is somehow reassuring to know that I can access live data and interact with the car on this level. Totally recommended

Exactly, you never know when you need it. For example friend of mine was changing brake pads and didnt know he need scan tool to unlock electronic calipers, so I helped him and also lot of others so they dont have to go to expensive dealership and wait 1-2 days. I just carrry Thinkdiag2, I wouldnt be able to fit laptop in glovebox 😅

Can we remove speed alarm and seat belt alarm?

Can you programmed after market keyfob On step 15 in the link above, I used the new key to touch the "Engine Start" button. I heard a beep. (Was it supposed to be one beep or two beeps? Many KZread videos indicate two beeps. But the link above indicate one beep). On step 16 in the link above, I put the new key on the passenger seat. After a moment, Techstream said registration failed, gave a list of possible causes, such as "two or more keys in the car", "the key already registered", "low battery", etc. None of them applied to my scenario

Can the tool reset adaptation of the automatic transmission?

Can it scan sub codes or Isolation fault codes for my lexus rx450h hybrid

i trying to readapt a 2003 mr2 SMT, i have replaced the clutch and need to readapt the kiss points, gearbox works fine, but the clutch is too fierce at the moment. i have a recent copy of tech stream and have found my way to a page within that appears to allow the data to be altered, it states a range, but i don't have a data source. is there a procedure that will guide me through a full re-adaption,or is there a data source that i could assess to get the clearance data?

I hope there’s something similar for Honda/Acura vehicles. There’s a feature where one can use the remote key-fob to open all windows and the moonroof… but no way of reversing that unless you do it manually 😢

It's some stupid Federal car regulation because they don't want you getting your head chopped off literally you can open the windows but you're not allowed to automatically close them

I have a v1.4.1 and no problem entering TPMS ID codes. 2011 Camry, bought inexpensive preprogrammed sensors from Amazon, took a picture of them before installing to get a record of the registration codes, then use Techstream to enter the codes into the ECU. Worked fine..

Can I ask you, which options do you have in Customize Settings under Unit conversion? I own a 2018 Lexus imported from USA, which had mileage in miles (i managed to convert in in-car settings to km), but it has also temperature in Fahrenheit. I am not able to change it to Celsius in in-car settings and Thincar Diag doesnt have any functions in that caregory. Thankyou in advance for your response.

Can you run the fuel pump with this software?

Open and closing windows works with remote, but slide roof doesnt open nor closing. Also no options available for slide roof. You have any idea?

I dont think the two-click will work, probably just with long press.

Can you turn off key in ignition warning sound when the door are open? I heard it is not possible on the newer techstream versions. But i dont know.

@@phr3ui559 I used another way, just unplugged that small white connector(with two wires) from ignition switch. Now it is silent when doors are open.

I have separate refurbished laptop for OBD2 software since you have to disable anti-virus to install a lot of them. I didn't get any virus but if you want to be safe, spend $100-200 for refurbished laptop

In my car, 2011 Verso, everything seems normal. I can read and delete dtc but when i come to “customise settings” it does not open sub menus like “warning”. Pretends to be opening but not opening eventually. Version 18 Windows 11 Toyota Verso 2011

Should work for all Toyota/lexus with OBD2 system but you can message seller on Aliexpress/Amazon they will know for sure

Any version should work but the seller on Amazon will know for sure, you better ask him I obviously didn't try it on every Toyota/Lexus model :)

So if you buy the cable they'll send also the techstream software to be jnstalled on a Windows 7/10/11 64 bit machine? Is this software feee with the purchase of the cable?

Yes they will send you CD, or you can ask them for download link if your laptop doesnt support CD

Your car doesn't have any customization options. Scanner can only work with options that are saved in the vehicle, and yours I guess is older so doesnt have any.

There are different options for different models. Even for same model EU version can have different settings possible than US

@@3bdullaALazmi In most cases yes. When I tried on Corolla the Techstream have all the same options + it was able to set auto window opening for each window individually. So Techstream can have few more.

Great video, thanks. Do you know if it is possible to perform an odometer correction with this tool? The previous owner of my car had a new instrument cluster fitted, but he did not have the odometer adjusted, so now I have an 18 year old car with only 67000 km on the clock, so I would like to bring it up to where it should be. I tried the dealer, but they want $740 to do it. Cheers.

Hi.. can this product fixes my Corolla's vibration issue while at idle? it's 1nr-fe engine from 2017. Suddenly started this issue without any warning light and engine works very noisy. it's only on 35000 km and couldn't find any reason. Could it be useful?

I think the problem is in car doing very low mileage, only 5000km/year roughly. Was the oil changed every year? If it was my car I would change oil, spark plugs and filters and inspect timing chain. If there is no problem with timing chain, I would start driving in higher RPM and use premium gas because you might have whole engine carbonized because it wasn't driven much.

@@iamcarhacker yes the oil changed every year without any compromise. we have also an another car again with low mileage. it is fiat but that car don't have the same problem and works great since 2007. it's really weird, however it shouldn't work like this imo.

Depends on what you want to do with ABS, but it had some service procedures but not for all models.

I dont think it is possible with just Techstream. I think if your car coould do it you would be able to start with toyota app

Too complicated. Took literally hours to get the software to work on laptop. Version sent had expired, sent email, took a week to send link for current techstream software, downloaded it, needed a key to unlock, etc etc etc. Took hours and hours, way too much dicking around. And the software is hacked, and virus warnings alll over the place trying to install it... Wasn't even game enough to connect it to the car in case it bricked the computer. Bye bye thousands of dollars to replace computer!

Sorry to hear that but I always say its better to get seperate old laptop for diagnosing because you have to disable antivirus to disable lot of the diagnostic software.
