Side Note: I love the transformation her hair goes through. Starting at the beginning relaxed, then going through several different natural styles and braids, to a goddess-like crown of an afro at the end.

gina’s braids and hairstyles were absolutely gorgeous in season 3, they’re definitely my favourite

I love how at the end of the season Gino basically tells Ricky that she loves him and that if he feels the same way his only chance is now. I was so happy at first, then I realized, EJ is going to kill Ricky!!!

They always had a lot more chemistry than Ricky and Nini, in my opinion.

Honestly I don’t think any ship on the show will ever beat the dynamic that was Ricky and Nina but it’s something about Rina that’s just always been special to me. A lot of ppl don’t like them together but I love it and can’t wait to see where they go in S4. Poor EJ

I saw the title, and I knew they weren't gonna be no song linked to it, attached originally. I just had to get on here, to see myself; but luckily there's a song the (Rina) cue song for their monumental themes! 🎉 🥳 🧡💖👏 I didn't expect that, either! .... This is an very interesting editing! 🤭🤗 So cute 🌸🏵️, and heard their cue music. Yay!! 💕🌺💗💙🤍🔵⚪🟠💜✨

Finally they are together, 😅 I've shipped them a little from season 1.

It felt like the writers used Gina as a love interest for Ricky as a way of forgetting the romance between Ricky and Nini as if they tried to steer clear of that relationship bc Olivia and Josh's relationship largely became a speculation of Olivia's "Drivers License."

rina was planned since season 1, Tim Federle confirmed it on an interview that once the car kiss scene occurred it changed the trajectory of the show forever ! so they were always planning on getting Ricky and Gina together

As you can see from this video, most of the scenes are from season one- and I really just critic on what I see. I defintly see and can feel the romantic vibes from them in season 1 like in the scene where EJ asks if Gina cares for Ricky and she's like "And what if I do?", the whole scene in Rickys car and the scene where Ricky says that he can't forget what happend at that evening. In this moments both of them make it clear that they have feelings for each other....but Gina doesn't do that in season 3. Ricky magically has feelings for her (again) when he sees her at summercamp but Gina never act like she has feelings or said something about it until the last episode of Season 3 when Ricky is all of a sudden a "Yes" to her and she has feelings again. Where did that come from? I only get friendship vibes from these two...I mean they have some cute moments but again it feels like two friends having fun not two lovers. And their song was just acting- Gina pretend like she's interested in Ricky to annoy EJ. And now let's think about the moment when Gina was so excited cause EJ used the word "love" and the moments of them in the canoe- that was pure love. I am not a Rina hater, I liked them in season 1 but later on it's weird.

It's not weird at all it makes sense to me. As someone who just binged the series it seems like the show was making RINA a slow burn ship. And this is how most of those ships go. They clearly show the attraction and getting each other like nobody else does. And then something happens where the timing is off so they can't be together. Then when the timing is right they do get together and the feeling never left even when with other people. I don't know if that makes you upset but that happens in real life in relationships. They know the person they are supposed to be with but they are not ready for each other yet. And if and when the time comes they get together. But either way regardless of how you feel the season ended with them wanting to be together so... 🤷🏾‍♀️ Sorry 😐

@@laurenj6802 I totally get what the show wants to show with Rina. And it makes sense from Rickys side: He spents more time with Gina again at summercamp and realizes his feelings. But Gina doesn’t really say anything about it- maybe they should have shown it more clearly that Gina also likes him again or that her feelings for him appear again and they were never gone- maybe with a face-to-face interview with Gina where she‘s like: „We‘re (Ricky and her) just friends, right? The feelings are gone, I‘m happy with EJ… right?“ Something like that?

@@lionllight I think they did a good job of showing that her feelings for Ricky were still there by looks and actions not by her saying anything even in 3x02 during auditions they pan to Gina staring at him singing when she should be looking at Maddox for her picture to be taken. We already knows she still has feelings for Ricky and has said it in season 1&2. Ricky is the opposite in season 1&2 he never has said it but it was implied through his actions that he cared and still had feelings for Gina. So we needed to here him say it and he did with Carlos and Jet. Also it seems to me that Gina's love language is Acts of Service. EJ kept saying how he wanted to hang with Gina but never did and Ricky did that for her. I'm not blaming EJ at all for choosing the show over Gina. He was trying to save the show but I also don't blame Gina for being like dude your still in a relationship and if you can't balance both of them I'm out cause I'm not happy and she deserves that. I bet what really pissed her off was that she was having more fun with Ricky and she didn't want that cause she wanted to make it work with EJ. On top of the fact that she was trying to move on from Ricky because feelings for him were still there. She was patient with EJ until the dance and that was the last straw.

Sorry for the long rant lol. But I think like I said since her love language is Acts of Service. It seems like Ricky's is words of affirmation. I think Gina knew that so I liked that she confessed and told him she liked him and Ricky through his actions by kissing her showed that he reciprocated.

The canoe scene isn’t pure love for Gina and EJ. It confirms that there are no literal or figurative fireworks in their relationship. Gina considered it a Hail Mary, the last straw. EJ rejecting Gina’s sweet and well thought out promposal was not pure love. However, Ricky putting his feelings for Gina aside to help her set it up was the pure love.

Yes Gina and Ricky are romantic only in the movie but not Joshua and Sofia. They are friends and they always joking around. Ricky and NiNi are romantic in the movie and outside of the movie as Joshua and Olivia too. That’s why people are more interested in them.
