I mean, Rina kind of wrote itself ever since the homecoming episode in S1. I swear to all that's holly that i cried at the S1 finale when ricky and nini got back together because i thought that FOR ONCE the clearly superior ship was going to prevail

@@oursongisaslammingscreendoor nope Rina have better chemistry,,the whole reason the storyline was changed was because there writer saw their chemistry and potential in the car scene in s1 and decided to go for them since then

The "what do you know about love?" scene... It's on another level... I had to rewatch several times. The chemistry is uncanny. 😭

The kiss on the cheek in the car after homecoming is what changed everything, and made them endgame 😭❤️

They did not come out of nowhere but they realising their feelings for each other in season 3 came out of nowhere. And yes they had feelings for each other in season 1 but in season 2 they stopped interacting with each other and Gina was always sad around him. Then she fell in love with EJ and was her happy self again. Ricky had problems with Nini and when they broke up he suddendly had a thing for Lily. But then he came to summercamp and suddenly he acepted the feelings, he never realizied he had for Gina. In season 1 it was like: Something changed and I can‘t forget our memories together but meeh Nini is more important. And then suddendly it changed to: I love Gina. What? And Gina was completly over Ricky at the end because she was really happy with EJ- it looked like that at the end of season 2. Then season 3 began and she had feelings again because they never disappeared…. I don‘t know what to think about Rina right now but let‘s see😂

@@lionllight It didn't came out of nowhere! Both had feelings for each other since season 1, you can't make it more obvious than the writers did. EJ was plan B for Gina and she forced herself into this relationship because Ricky wasn't available, but her feelings for Ricky were never gone.

@@BonsaiBadass Ricky will always love nini, that’s his friend and first love but he’s not IN LOVE with her anymore. He’s in love with Gina. Ricky had a hard time to say I love you to nini in s1 and when they got back together, he became clingy to her. It wasn’t about love but more about his fear of change. Ricky hates change bc of his parents problem, he has said it. Gina represented change and nini represented a constant in his life. He had to get back with nini to figure out they don’t belong with each other. Him doing that is what made him miserable throughout s2. He started to embrace change when he broke up with nini and let her go, look how happy he was in s3 when he finally embraced his feelings for Gina (which he had feelings for her since s1). Compare Ricky from s1 to s3 and you’ll see how different he is. I’m pretty sure Ricky’s relationship with Gina will be better than rini. He’ll prob be the first to say I love you. You’ll see.

season 2 was EXHAUSTING

I love Rina. They were my 2 favorite characters in season 1. I just hope they execute the relationship in s4. The Rini build up was just do amazing that even tho I wanted Rina, I still enjoyed rini but it was wasted in s2.

I don't think it was wasted tbh! They weren't gonna end up together especially on how nini was growing more independent (good for her) and Ricky was dealing with family problems and was growing more clingy. In s3, he had amazing character development compare to s1 so im glad they broke up

@@meowner9017 it definitely was wasted. They never did anything together and Nini never wanted to talk about her problems and was very blunt. She didn't do any giving in the relationship because she was trying to be independent while Ricky was always trying to do stuff for her. I was expecting at least some positive interactions between them after the first episode but we never really got to enjoy seeing them in a relationship.

@@dregamingz the creator of the show Tim had said in an article that his plan for the series was to never make them end up together (as endgame) if the show got more than one season. He had already decided on making Ricky and Gina a thing after the scene in Ricky's car in episode 5 but he wanted a slow burn and he wasn't sure they were gonna have more than one season. His plan was to have Ricky and Nini end up together only if it had 1 season but if Disney gave them more seasons, he wanted to make Ricky and Gina a couple. Honestly I'm not surprised they didn't have many happy moments in season 2 since the end of season 1 still had a lot of unsolved problems the two had to work out. Ricky especially with his family and how that affected him personally and his relationships with others (Nini and Gina). I feel like the reason we didn't get to enjoy seeing them in a relationship was because they were different now. Nini was starting to realize she didn't need Ricky like she thought she did and she was getting opportunities for herself in other places while Ricky clung onto how him and Nini were before. I feel like the whole thing he sort of had with Gina was new and different and something he wasnt used to. He tells her he hates change (which Gina and their relationship is) And he was already going through a lot of change with his parents and home situation so that must've made him freak out, even if he didn't realize it at the time. Sorry if this a is a lot LOL

@@meowner9017 I read if there's good information. I wanted Ricky and Gina from the start. Since Ricky quit. Especially after prom. But with Nini and Ricky, it felt like she wasn't trying in the relationship and just didn't care. Not as much that she didn't need him. The opinion of strangers mattered more to her than Ricky's and when Ricky wanted to fix things, she wouldn't wanna talk, and if she did, she'd be harsh or cold. I didn't come back for you Ricky. I came back for you miss Jenn. She told Miss Jenn she came back for her but didn't give a crap about Ricky. When she came back, it seemed like she just didn't care. Ricky tried his hardest to support her but she was cold, blunt, and didn't support him.

@@dregamingz that's true you're right! I think after becoming the female lead in her summer camp's play, it changed her. Not in a bad way but she was different and maybe she wanted more? Which isn't wrong. She's different than how Ricky remembers her I'm assuming and so that's why their relationship wasnt the same when they got back together. I don't think it was that she didnt care but now she wasn't trying to make herself look a certain way or be a certain way to be with Ricky and her focus was on her future not him. They never should've gotten back together tbh. The two weren't the same. And in all honesty, they're supposed to be childhood best friends but they don't really feel like it.
