    @@tmd9569 A lot of guys were faster and stronger than Tim Duncan. Tim Duncan was great because of his consistency. The Spurs never won less than 50 games with him on the team. And that was in a stacked western conference. So when Giannis gets to at least four rings as the anchor of his team we can start comparing him to Tim Duncan. Right now Giannis is sitting on a lot of potential in terms of the all time great conversation. Let's wait and see what else he does.

    The fact that ESPN is hating on Giannis is actually helping him. Giannis will never go publicly to say that he's better than somebody else. He'll always crown other players as better and he'll proceed to destroy them on the court. Everytime the media crowns someone as "the best", they are merely giving Giannis the next target on his list.

    Giannis was getting criticized like this for the past 2 years because all of the so called experts started putting out a false story that he was going to the lakers when his contract with the bucks was up. When he stayed with the bucks he said that he's not going to leave due to what he felt was unfinished business with his team and don't listen to what anyone outside of himself has to say about what he's going to do with his career. Then he won a championship and said all of the people who said he should've went to the lakers and take the easy road can finally be quiet. They're salty over the fact that not only didn't he do what they assumed but he also accomplished what they assumed would never happen without him playing with another superstar and he threw it in their faces. As a result those so called experts try to downplay his achievements

    Man I gotta admit I doubted Giannis and was one of those people that said his style would never win a chip and now I'm just a FAN. KD should've forced Russ out of OKC back in the day....

  • @Jon.A.Scholt

    @Jon.A.Scholt

    Stephen A was right, Giannis isn't KD, he is much better. I've never understood the KD hype; being called the "greatest offensive player ever" when there are 4 or 5 players from his own generation who are better offensively. And then you add to it how KD is a me-first snowflake and how Giannis is a top 2-3 player with the least drama (him and Steph) and the comparison is absolutely laughable. Put it this way; if you're a fan or owner, which player would you want leading your franchise and which do you think will win you the most titles? Giannis is the obvious answer to both of those. And to anyone who says, "But KD has two rings!" You think if Giannis joined a 73 win warriors team he'd have two rings? Nope, he'd have more!

    My favorite part is how haters took the opinions of former NBA scrubs as fact. Hollins said rebounding and defense were "little things", ironically he wasn't good at either of those in his time as a bench rider. Perk's best years were with Boston and he was never a determining factor in OKC's success. Even Nick Collison had more important moments and came up big when his number was called upon.

    ESPN reticence to give Giannis his props is suspect. They’re takes are always he’s great… but… I think there’s like some micro racism from black men against the freak… Like they view as more of a foreigner than a “BRUVA” and they don’t want to put respect on his name. They’re ok with saying he’s good but they believe the top dog has to be what they identify as a black man not a foreigner. It’s kinda of the way certain people didn’t want to see Hank Aaron get the all time home run crown because it was the holy grail and should be held by someone who looks like the Babe not the Hammer. I want to point out I’m a Blackman and Giannis is coming for Lebron on Rushmore

Once I watched and compared him to the other greats, it was pretty obvious how great he really is. The media is very good at what they do - framing narratives. You can be dead wrong or talkin shit but viewers overlook it if its entertaining. Once you do your own research like yourself, you can clearly see thru the bullshit and learn the real facts.

    If giannis meets the high standards of espn he’d be the greatest basketball player in the history of basketball forever, a 7 foot big that can run the floor as fast as prime John wall, can finish like Lebron, can shoot like curry, defend like pippen, block shots like mutombo and is more clutch than any player to lace up a pair of ball shoes, that’s crazy

    Agreed. Because he's in a small market. Anytime they want to stop yapping about L.A. would be fine with me. And as for Stephen, sometimes he's right, sometimes he's wrong. But he's always loud.

    Hypothesis: These sports analyst panels need someone to serve as comic relief. Stephen A's shtick is a riot all on its own, so he qualifies while also being a good analyst (although he was a bit faulty here, but not absurdly so). But perhaps Hollins & Perkins really are only there to be laughed at for saying ridiculous things.

    U didn’t even mention ja’s playmakinf lol that makes up for his lack of defense, which he definitely still has potential to develop with those high flying blocks. He’s still no Gianni’s obviously but like that’s knocking his game a lil too much

    No one can match Giannis for years now. He is consistently a top 3-5 offensive player and he is consistently a top 3-5 defensive player. You can't beat that. And I don't give a shit if you score 3s or if you score jumpers or if you dunk. Why people think making your way through a whole defence and dunk is "easier" that shooting a 3? It is not easier and it is MORE physical as well. Any person with a brain would pick as his No1 player to build a team Giannis. It's like getting 2 players at once FFS....
