The fact that Lorenzo retired is a shame and disgrace in MotoGP. That 2013 injury was nothing more than a normal big crash that happens in every rider's career. The crash did not end his career, it was politics and bad management that ended his career and it's proven by the fact he won the Championship in 2015 two years after the crash. He is without a doubt one of the best riders to ride on the MotoGP grid and his gloomy ending seasons to his career can and will never overshadow the exceptional skill and talent he has demonstrated many times before. No one can take that away from him even when he's not present in the grid anymore. I have never been much of a big fan of Lorenzo like Rossi or Casey Stoner but when he retired under such dire conditions it broke my heart to see such an amazing talent having to hang his leathers after years of hopeless struggle. In my heart and I'm sure in many other people's you will always be one of the best and be one the few who were able to stand up against the best and beat them in even their best form. You will be remembered always, Jorge Lorenzo.

Dont feel so much pitty for him as he always was a straight up egocentric rider, its true he was one of the greatest and fast as hell, but his career shatered when in 2017 moved to Ducati because he felt betrayed in yamaha ( ego issues ). In Ducati, he was starting to make it big but too late for the trust of the italian bosses of ducati, so in 2019 he went to Honda 100% convinced he will win and the only thing he found there was a 100% honda made for Mm93. He had the back injury in assen 2019 and he alone decided to retire. Anyways he had from ducati offer to come back in 2020 as official rider but he consulted his father chicho lorenzo and he told him to not come.back and retire

Somehow I feel sad for Lorenzo . He is now hailed as a Legend but throughout his career he was the most hated World Champion despite being an Ultra smooth rider . Just because he was fighting Rossi !!

@@ananthu8534 Rossi fans are extremely toxic in general. They did the same with Stoner and now also Marquez too. Three riders who are clearly objectively better riders than Rossi. Lorenzo was probably the easier target though considering he was so much better on identical machinery. Regardless, it was a joy to see Lorenzo ride that Yamaha and I'm sure he felt the support from his many fans! Even as a relatively neutral supporter I still cheered his wins ;-)

Rossi hasn't retired yet . There are many videos made by MoToGp channel on his special moments , like his 100th victory 400 Gp starts . Pedrosa and Dovi are good riders , but aren't world champions . I dont think motogp will make those videos . Dovi is still a main contender for 2020 championship . Redbull has mads one video honouring Pedrosa . Jorge is multiple time world champion and was the greatest rival of Rossi . His legacy stands high .

He defeated Marc many times but he stands no where close in the all times rider rankings . Simple reason no championship victory . 🤷

anan thu he gets a lot of respect, like people are still going on about him and he's one of the greats people dislike him though cos his attitude to the sport wasn't very good at times and his character wasn't the most easy to get on with I will say also MotoGP is very good with social media now so when stoner retired this wouldn't have happened however if he retired just now he'd probably have all these videos about him
