@@vojtechhykys1466 The only other legion to have Librarians entered into Dreads were the Blood Angels, and given the massive ban on Psychic powers by The Twat on the Throne many legions didn't even start the practice when the Librium was still in its infancy. So when they were actually allowed to have their Space Wizards again, the dreads and the cooler space wizard stuff that Librarians could do were still considered heretical Tzeentch worship, because Tsons were traitors now.

According to some of the 30k lore, making a dreadnought that could work with a librarians powers was ‘Real Hard’. Magnus himself was working on the problem and came up with the Osiron pattern dread. Of course, being designed by a dude who became a demon prince for one of the original traitor chapters makes it pretty much off limits to the 40k imperium.

Use your own Dreadnought. Artillery. Lots of artillery. Creed out a Baneblade from somewhere, you'll need it. Use an Imperial Knight. Use a Titan. Use mildly difficult terrain. "I... Cannot... Move..."

the reason only BA gets librarian dreads is because during the great crusade, magnus gave the two other chapters witha lot of psyers the schematics, the BA and the WS, but you cant be a biker as a dreadnought so the WS never used it until they lost the schematics. the BA kept using it

also the kits are specific to BA and have never been updated since BA got their update like 10 years ago. I think this is the main reason. They're not going to update the kits any time soon, so no one else can use them. It was the same with the flying transports as well, but they actually made a vanilla version of that eventually (I guess grey knights had access to them as well, but GK and BA got their update at the same time, so they both got access to the flying transports first) also it's part of BA identity and they need to have their own toys so people will buy them. I was really hoping for a proper BA update this year, but it's looking very unlikely now. They've always been my favourite loyalist faction, but it would take so much work (and money) to convert their units into primaris sized minis, and there's no way I'm running stumpies now. I ended up starting a Black templar army instead, as they're really cool as well and actually got some love in the form of new primaris minis. The only thing I need to convert for them is the vanguard vets from assault intercessors, and it's a really minor job TBH. I think for first founding chapter I'm likely going to go with white scars now as well. The idea of running a bike heavy army is nice. Now the outriders are out, I think it's going to be relatively easy to have a full primaris sized bike based army. really need to look into it though, as if I need regular space marine bikes as the bulk, I have to be sure I can convert the riders to primaris first, and if the scale works. Might be able to just convert outriders into basic bikes though.

Man being an ancient dreadnought seems like such a sweet retirement plan for a space marine.

I think one of the reasons that the Blood Angels are pretty much the only ones to use Pzyker Dreadmnoughts, is because they're the only chapter that cares enough about their Librarians to go through the effort to put them in one. When a Blood Angel Librarian gets mortally wounded it's "Oh no, Brother Alucard has been grievously wounded. We must take him back to Baal and do all we can to bring him back to the fight." With most of the other chapters, it's "Oh well he was probably gonna turn into a daemon or something soon anyway that's what Pzykers do. Hey somebody go and get a flamer and make sure he stays dead."

Sometimes, one must send grandpa into warfare. The nursing home has made him cranky.

The reason why other Chapters don't have Librarian ones is probably because the Blood Angels want it to themselves. On the other hand probably it's because Magnus probably gave them the Osiron Dreadnought tech and the bishie space vampires managed to adapt it well. Also don't forget the Ferrum Infernus Dreadnoughts (into which the Sonic Dreadnought was retconned as a type of it). They even had rules where if they get slain they either die, come out of their chassis as Chaos Spawn, or come out as Daemon Princes.

There was a scrapped blueprint found in the lore for a dreadnought called “Project: War-mind”. It was supposedly the ultimate siege dreadnought that was so large, it had to be piloted by 3 soldiers and a dreadnought, all working in sync to maximise power. It had two large arms mounted on the shoulders that carried two large crane claws that were reinforced with saw blades on the outer side of the claws, so when it was curled into a fist, it could break through any fortification within minutes. It also had two large siege cannons mounted onto the back. The lower arms were controlled by the pilot, and had two heavy weapons, a heavy flamethrower “Incinerator Mk- E4” and a triple tank barrel mini-gun combo “Ex- Leviathan’s rage” both mounted onto them. It pull reach a maximum speed of 10kph, and a height of 64 meters. It could only deploy from orbit as any drop ship large enough to carry it would be shot down before deployment. Basically imagine Warhammer 40k, but Titanfall 2

Blood Angels are the chapters that makes the most extensive, but reasonable use of Librarians. Most of the other chapters either believed that the Emperor told them not to use Librarians, and so only do so as little as possible, or jumped down the slip-and-slide into Chaos.
