This is the most batshit insane Mario hack ever created.

The fused Koopalings battle is so hilariously elaborate and well thought-out that it actually made my jaw drop. I recalled this ROM hack from the early 2010s and decided to look it up to see what became of it. Needless to say, I'm blown away.

the best part is that this is NOT all of the bosses. well, at least for now. before luigi was a 2 phase fight with peach. after him was a boss rush. then we fight mario and if we have all of the DK coins, we get a second phase. yeah, we PLAY as luigi after fighting him. damn, i'm sure there ain't much space left so we probably won't have a full version.

yeah Mecha Dragon Theme Boss Battle Song is my favorite

I think there's a few bosses missing in this video: > The old 4 Headed Yoshi fight (used in Demo 6.5, now in VIP 4's Bowser Castle) > Kaizo Chomp (in the newest demo alongside Lemmy the Hakikomori) > Black Omen > Shinryuu & Omega Weapon Other than that though, good stuff

This is the only Brutal Mario bosses video I've seen that uses the Demo 7.5 boss music, nice.

idk if i've ever noticed while watching old boss rush videos of this hack, but i feel like there are a lot of distinct gameplay mechanics that make it feel like some bosses are from something else entirely sometimes you have boss health bars, sometimes Mario has a health bar, Meta Knight gives both HP counters i was wondering if there's some reason why this feels like a molten puddle of ROM hack ideas?

Meta Knight's boss fight gives both Mario and the boss a health bar as Meta Knight's pretty well known for always giving his opponents a fair fight, and makes sure that neither he nor his opponents has a starting advantage over the other. This is why he gives you a sword before you fight, you both duel with the same weapon, and of course, there's a health bar for both combatants starting at the same number

This hack is really old like the first major SMW hack to ever exist. Sprite work was really hard to do back then, especially with Kirby and a few others due to them being outsourced or sprites with multiple parts.

I kind of think maybe someone should put together all of the demos into a single fusion one so people wouldn't need to play a bunch of separate ones and for archival purposes.

Why don't someone recreate it in SMBX.After all you can create custom NPCs in SMBX. One of the things I would like to do is replace some the original levels with new ones and have powerups other than the ones present in SMB4(SMW) & Super Mario 64

Hmm… with some skill and a lot of models, this could probably be remade for New Super Mario Bros Wii tbh. Imagine a Brutal Mario Wii…
