I’m so glad they kept the DK Summit gap jump! There’s going to be so much skill practice on that for Time Trial records. The Yoshi’s Island track is a lot of fun and I loved the ending part of the laps where you hit the question mark cloud as you glide on the air which will create a new bridge shortcut and finishes it off with a Goal Ring at the end which is such a creative concept that was never seen before in any Mario Kart game!

Nope it’s really not if your just an ok or a casual player u can do it n at least 5 minutes

I got to say I think this wave might be one of my favs and i didnt think i would ever like a tour city track but singapore speedway is by far the best out of all the rest of the tour tracks and having wii dk moutain back is like a dream by far one of my favorite wii course its so nostaligic for me this was a banger wave and yoshies island is amazing

Yeah, I love Singapore Speedway, it has variety, and its diverse obstacles just makes the track interesting, fun and colorful. I also like the music, my favorite part of the track is where you have to go on the rooftop with the water pool and having swimming goomba's.

You can jump over the river on ampsterdam but only on 200cc. Though there are fences that you can bump into so you'd need to be careful when using the cut.

Dang you just made me realize the long amount of air time MK Wii had, it took FOREVER to come back down if you went up the sides of a slope

I haven’t played this yet but am I the only one thinking it’s funny seeing a random Ptooie just falling at 1:59?

That train station section in Bangkok rush is gonna be really fun online

The river gap jump is possible in 150cc. If you drive between the fence and blue house seen at 0:57 and make a quick left - you can then make it across the river. Only problem is that it’s quite fiddly. Also it needs at least 2 mushrooms :/

On DK Summit (after u) enter the Canon u can hear an echo from when the Character is shouting after a Trick. Best example Wario

If you're feeling frisky you can mushroom over both parts of the DK summit gap jump by jumping kinda like the mushroom gorge gap jump

I don't know if you'll believe me but I honestly did the DK summit shortcut on 50cc jumping over both the first and second gap. Did it a lot differently than what was shown here. It was a massive fluke but I had some sort of alignment that was perfect

Bro you can reliably do double shroomless on DK Summit. It's not even hard like the mushroom gorge cut or anything

the summit gap cut is free, and it's shroomless, this was a very inefficient way to do it

The Amsterdam bridge skip cut is possible! Just tested it out on 200cc. I got really good alignment and didn't even need to jump for it

For DK Summit i found out you can grab the halfpipe corners just like on Wii, but is better with inward

no mention of THREE cuts missed on waluigi stadium! 1.) the side halfpipe curve hugging move 2.) if u have no shrooms for the mud cut u can go left and drive on the side part to shave a second 3.) a new jump before the first hairpin turn in 150 or 200 that can be done shroomless to hop the wall but its tough

I can't believe they not only kept DK Summit Double gap jump, but they even made it easier.

Im excited to kick my friends butt in some new tracks.

I like how in DK Summit that if stay inside the peppermint stripe snow, your screen will start to form snow or ice on it.

The glider section midway through SS lap 3 can cut off a *slight* turn into the boost ramp at the end. It's not much, but a time save is a time save.

For the DK gap jump in 150cc, I found it easier to trick off the first dash jump panel, do one or two tricks off the snow mounds, then start a drift early to build up an Ultra Mini Turbo before lining up the first gap jump properly. In 200cc it's a similar strat, but you can do both gap jumps without a mushroom if you drive off the first ledge holding your UMT, then line yourself up to the little slope next to the fencing, the letting it go once you land after the first gap to boost over to the otherside. It's a bit finicky, and will probably require more time to figure out, but it's a start.

There r 4 shortcuts in Bangkok Rush actually. One is in Lap 2 of thr beginning and the end of lap 2 When going to this grass patch use ur mushroom When gliding you will see a grass patch with an exit so use ur mushroom

that amsterdam drift cut can be done on 200 without a shroom by using the molehill for leverage

You can actually go further left on the beggining Waluigi Stadium Mud and take the cut without mushrooms

On Singapore speedway on 200cc take the right fan and do a trick and go over the water but land before the booster pad

bruhhh that first of the two 'hops' in dk summit is not only easy but easy shroomless on 150, im not the best at shortcuts and even i got it on the second try lol

I've just noticed that there's still coins on the left set of awnings in Bangkok Rush. Does this mean they did intend to keep the path?

You can jump up there using the ramp

The dk summit cit is called the SINGLE AND DOUBLE not the gap cut

On 200cc the double is slower

Just refer to the WR holders for time trials on whatever map you want. those guys show you the absolute best shortcuts and you can even load their ghosts so you can see it first hand in game. sloppy video.

I think it's the worst wave, even worse than wave 1! Cities are actually mostly fine this time, but still city tracks, yoshis Island is sorta mid at best, relying heavilly on nostalgia (of which I have none). Mario circuit is just... bad. I had hopes that you could enter the castle on the final lap, with a rainbow taking you to the end, but NOPE! Just a stupid wiggler in the forest! Riverside park is all flash and no substance. It looks cool but the track is lame! Dk summit is fine, easily the best track here, and Waluigi stadium is abysmal! Neon is cool but the shortcut scaffolding areas are really hard to get up onto and provide no real benefit for doing so. I also never really cared for waluigi stadium to begin with and always felt it was overrated. Overall, if I'm being generous 2/10 at best. Even wave 1 had coconut mall and shroom ridge, paris, and ninja hideaway, which are superior to many other courses on display here.

@@inkballer There was something similar used in 7 I recall, and going inside the castle is something I always wanted to do in the ds version. Seeing how peach gardens and the one with the train were changed, I didn't expect it to be out of the realm of possibility. Especially since it would have worked with the layout.
