One thing I really hated about the changes in certain seasons is when directly after Jay went through all the stuff in Skybound, hands of time immediately dumbed him down and I'm still salty about it

I FEEL THIS. s6 (the latter half at least, the beginning was messy) showed his intelligence and emotional fortitude, and then hands of time onward was like "let's just make him dumb comic relief again"

There were a few placements I disagreed with but good Lord if this wasn't the most high quality and hilarious Ninjago ranking video I've ever seen IN MY LIFE! It's one of those comedic videos that combines still images with actual animation that I've seen for loads of other properties but never Ninjago! I can't imagine how much work this must have taken because the animation were so specific and fluid and I am so tremendously impressed! To quote your opinions on season 8, this video is "An S-Tier for the animation alone!" Seriously, fantastic job! And even though I disagreed with a few of the actual placements, I found myself agreeing with you specific points a great deal! You really said exactly what I was thinking and articulating that point with some hilarious doodles was just the cherry on top! I really hope this videos gains traction and gets the insane view count it deserves, it is that professionally made!

This is something real cool that happened in Latinan America Lloyd's first voice actress was... not appropriate for his character in my opinion, but in Spanish he had such a fitting voice and the best part is that the voice actor grew up with Lloyd, by the time he got his new voice in SoG they didn't even need to change voice actor because his original voice actor was already grown up and had a deeper voice than when he started. But they did change his voice by season 11

@@Obi-Wan_Kenobi I don't know why I hadn't seen this comment but if you want to know, the main four Ninja have always had the same voice but in season 12 Nya voice actress changed and boy did it get a bad replacement. Let me tell you Nya's new voice actress always sounds like she's complaining, she gives Nya a completely different vibe from her original character, every single line she delivers it sounds like she's just constantly complaining about everything and everyone, I'm pretty sure children in latinamerica are going to hate Nya because of how obnoxious she sounds. I hope her original voice actress returns for crystalized because she was impossible to bear

Hot take: I actually sort of like the first half of Day of the Departed There’s a lot of nice somber scenes of remembrance, Cole’s story is sort of interesting and actually brings the whole ghost thing into the plot in a meaningful way, and on paper, bringing all of the villains to a place where they can play off each other in ways we’ve never gotten to see sounds really fun. I think the pacing just goes completely off the rails in the second half haha, with every encounter lasting a good 4 minutes, and every conclusion being more disappointing than the last. It did give us the iconic scene where Pythor jumps off a cliff, and that very laughable Yang redemption scene, so I mean… good with the bad? I like it more ironically AND unironically than the Island to be honest.

Eh, I'll give you that. Parts of the beginning were pretty good. The Island is horrible. It was WAAAY too rushed and made Ronin feel like a pushover. I would have preferred more Ninjago reimagined.

I think that the ranking is fair. I would probably change possession with the pilots, but everything else - on point.

I gotta say the top spots for me are taken by: Sons of Garmadon, Hunted, Seabound, and Skybound. Sons of Garmadon has a great tone, great storytelling, great lore, great fights, great animation, all just great great. Only downside is the beginning of Kai's spiral into baby. Hunted continues that, juggling two stories perfectly. Watching Wu grow and learn from the ninja what he taught them was great. Watching Lloyd find his voice was also great. We get death, we get lessons, we get callbacks, we get everything. It really rewards you for having kept up with the series so far. Skybound is just, real darn good. The ninja being picked off one by one adds a lot of tension, Jay and Nya's arc is sweet (if a bit iffy at the start). The prison stuff isn't great but the rest is super solid. Who cares if the events got reversed, Jay and Nya kept their development and that's what really matters. Seabound is also amazing. Some of if not _the_ best animation in the series to date. Nya's arc is done super well and ties back to her original arc in Possession nicely. She goes from being forced into the role of water ninja to sacrificing herself to the sea despite everyone telling her no. Her character has always been about independence and adaptability, and it sends that off nicely. Jay is characterized super well, Kai is done better than usual (which granted isn't saying a whole lot), Zane's interactions with Pixal are cute, and Lloyd and Cole take a comfortable backseat. Rest in peace Kirby Morrow though.

I do not agree with the position of some seasons but leaving that aside, I love the video, it is very entertaining and fun. I also liked how you made jokes about some things, like the snakes, master of the mountain and the number of seasons. My main language is Latin Spanish so it was lucky that KZread recommended this to me, your way of explaining is amazing, with the drawings and your energy, I hope you can make another ninjago video =)

This is criminally underrated

My ranking would pretty much be the same honestly. Maybe I’d put Tournament up a tier and Possession in S tier (not by any objective means and exclusively because I’m emotionally dependent on it). But I’m really glad that someone else loves Skybound as much as me. People hate on it so much for no reason when it’s one of the most entertaining and interesting seasons. The writers went all out doing a bunch of crazy stuff because they knew they could reverse it and I see that as a good thing. I still don’t forgive them for abandoning Echo Zane tho. Also, the production in this video is amazing! I love all the animation and editing.

I'm so happy finding finally someone who's Ninjago fan same as I and likes season 6 same as I (like season 6 is so cool imo and most Ninjago fans I've met didn't like it, and it's so sad; anyway, I'm really happy someone is finally giving it respect it deserves). I agree with most of these ratings too :)

Master of the Mountains is the most awesome season of my life. We finally got to see Cole’s family history of his elemental powers. And true, Vangelis made me feel really mad that I want to smash him up like a piñata for being a jerk to his own daughter’s birthday guests, but it was wroth it!

I think you did well, since it is your own opinion. And hey you gave an entertaining portrayal of all the seasons, especially for Daaaanger Noodles. And yeah, season 13 is perfect...but it's timing...at least Kirby gave Cole's voice a beautiful season before his passing. Thank you Kirby, from all of us, we will never forget you and Andrew Francis we know will do you proud in carrying on Cole's voice. Ninja never quit, go, ninja, go.

Yeah me too, despite its flaws, I thought march of the oni was really great, from Jay and Nya’s Yin-Yang thing and Garmadon’s arc as well. Its definitely the weakest of the oni trilogy but its still good despite that.

I stopped watching the show after rebooted and half way through tournament of elements not by choice but because lego decided not to air it on a watchable schedule anymore, fortunately just when Prime empire had premired Netflix got all of the seasons, so now I'm caught up again.

I subscribed to you mostly just because i wanted to stay updated with your Wish rewrite, but then i find out that not only are you a Ninjago fan (as well as afew more other things i like) but you're also genuinely funny and interesting!? Yeah, i think I'll be sticking around for a while, yep.🙂

Was convinced I was the only loser who actually watched this show. Didn’t think about it for a solid 8 years, no one really talked about it. So I was pretty shocked to hear about how many episodes there were. I genuinely thought this video had 500k and not just 5k. This video was REALLY good. Take pride… or something.

XD to be fair, I agree with most of that - most. Unpopular opinion here, but I'm actually not too big a fan of Lloyd (or at least, his character in certain seasons, anyway - sometimes he just comes across as kinda bland to me), so I would've stuck seasons 8 and 9 a little lower. I do agree that season 8's animation was super well done, though. And as a Jay fan, I'm happy that you put skybound in S tier lol

While I have differing opinions from yours, this was still a fun video! I wonder where Crystalized would end up, with how hype it is I believe it has the potential to become the best season of the whole series, or at least the best of the newer seasons

Skybound ever since it came out has been my favorite season and to be honest I don’t really care if that’s a controversial opinion or not😂. The story between Jay and Nya is really well done and Nadakhan is one of the best villains the show has ever had. He’s literally come to closest to winning out of any doing in the whole show (yes even closer than the overlord). I don’t really understand why people don’t like this season. I’m pretty sure they don’t like it because of the ending but personally I love the ending. This is a “kids” show so after everything that had happened in the season the only way for it to end was for things to go back to normal. The time stuff actually makes sense and my opinion the ending is beautiful. Jay and Nya remember everything that happened because they were in the center of everything

I think the animation over all just gets better with time honestly. The environments of SoG and Hunted are immaculate, but the character movement of the new studio is incredible (we’ve definitely been spoiled with some of the series most visually stunning fight scenes in recent years).

As a ninjago fan, and a born in the lates 2000s. (Somewhere around 2005s to 2009s) Ninjago was my shit, while I hate violence, ninjagos and Bionicle were something I grew up, so while I may disagree on a few things in this Virgo, it was really funny ngl! Good job!

Alright, you told me to comment at the intermission so I will. I've been a fan of Ninjago for quite a while, despite not actually watching any of the show until Season 5 was almost over. Even then, I barely interacted with the fanbase, and have only really started looking through fan content very recently. It's still a little weird hearing other people's opinions on this show, but I suppose I'll have to get used to it if I want to even consider being part of the community. A bit sad my personal favorite season has been banished to C-tier, but Skybound in S-tier is a great call. I need to rewatch some of these seasons. Guess I'll comment more at the end of the video. Okay, after video comment time? I guess? Yeah, Cole should have stayed as a ghost, but I liked Morro's little bit of redemption in DotD. Also, yeah, March of the Oni sucks. Thank you for putting Seasons 8 and 9 in S-tier. I'm glad to know I wasn't the only person who did not care about Lloyd and Nya's Season 9 adventure, now I don't feel like a crazy person

Not a super controversial ranking all things considered. I feel like mine, and a lot of other people’s are pretty similar. I feel like I’m a lot easier on S11 (especially Fire chapter) than a lot of people (I get why people don’t love it, possibly dumbed down character conflict, meh backgrounds, light plot) but I honestly just find it REALLY funny throughout, so it’s always a season I enjoy coming back to, and at the time it was a nice light reintroduction to Ninjago. Ice chapter does a lot right, but I think it flops HARD with the Ice Emperor Zane plot. (So much wasted potential)… Your “Zane is given the always given the short stick, only then to be beaten with it” killed me.

100% agree with this. Especially the “wasted ice emperor potential” part. (Honestly, part of me kinda wishes his memory didn’t completely come back, but when Vex said “protect”, it triggered them enough for him to know he was the bad guy)

@@gigikju9934 Yeah the way everything resolves itself super quickly the second Zane starts remembering always felt like a total pacing whiplash haha. I think a more gradual turn like that could have been cool. I’m just disappointed we never go further into the implications that Zane was a villain for some years. Like, it’s never really mentioned again that Zane spent years as a tyrannical warlord who committed genocide. We never get any follow up or reflection from Zane, Akita is kind of just suddenly cool with him, etc. I get WHY they didn’t go that route, that would be some pretty heavy stuff lol, but it’s just sad to see such an interesting idea watered down to “Zane looses memories, Zane regains his memories all at once, everything good now”.

A little late but season 2 is "The Final Battle" and was supposed to be the end of Ninjago so Chima could take over. But Chima wasnt doing as well as Ninjago so Ninjago stayed and technically making Ninjago Rebooted a reboot

I don't like writing in seasons 11-15, the reason behind this? Seasons 1-10 were connected with each other and more or less every next season was in lesser or bigger way consequence of the previous one (except season 7 bruh). But seasons 11-15? I could actually watch them in random order (as long as season 15 would end up last) and wouldn't notice, these season have zero connection with each other, and the previous seasons too.
