He also didn’t have a good relationship with his dad either. In that episode, I always see it as the team picking on Jay to visit his parents because they wouldn’t be able to talk to theirs. Kai, Nya, and Zane thought their parents were dead and Cole had 1 parents who was dead and another who he didn’t have a good relationship with at the time. They probably didn’t want Jay to take his parents for granted.
