Just a heads up; I'm never going to make this video for the other classes. It's not worth it by a long shot. You see, this took like a month to make. It's the most tedious and horrible thing to do. First I had to come up with what to say for 156 hats. This requires days of sitting down at a word document, browsing the wiki and reading the trivia and other things on the pages. I have a new-found respect for writers who make flavour text for legendary items in MMOs. That stuff is hard to write. It's harder than it seems to condense what you want to say into 10 words. By the way contractions are considered 2 words in my mind. Second I had to record audio of me reading the intro, outtro and all the 156 reviews. That's like 2k words or so, just estimating. This took me 2 days. The more time-consuming part is editing all my readings/takes down. The raw outcome of be recording all the lines is like 2 hours long. I spent 5 days or so trimming down all the takes and ending up with something about 12 minutes long. Third I had to download all the images from the TF2 wiki. It doesn't sound like a lot of work until you realize it means you have to go to 156 different pages then navigate on each one to download 312 images (2 per page). Next I had to edit every single one to make the transparent space around them 1920 by 1080. This is required to make things pixel-perfect. You better enjoy that all the inventory images are perfect 1-to-1 pixel perfect with 1080p video. Anyways I scaled the images on the right to fit so that was a wast of time to do for them, oh well. Fourth I imported everything into Davinci Resolve. The video editing program I use. One by one I edited the audio to have exactly the same gaps between them and have the beeping sound play at the exact same place before the line starts. Next I overlayed the text. I made one top-text and one bottom-text and copy+pasted them 156 times, editing them to fit perfectly. Next I had to copy and past every single item name and 10-word-description from the word document. That also took ages. Next I had to place all the images perfectly. That took ages. I should probably assume you understand everything took ages and stop mentioning it now. Firth. Once all the layers of text and images were perfect I had to get all the background footage. Going to the wiki and picking maps with moving background elements, like trains, snow and smoke-stakes is a FUN process. I needed 13 clips because there are 156 items and that divides by 12 well. Notice how after every 12 clips the background changes? Anyways I went to the maps in-game, used loads of commands to disable the hud, up the graphics to ultra-max and decrease the fov, I flew around each map looking for a nice spot and sat in front of my computer recording the idle locations over and over for 70 seconds while watching some Vincesuse video on my tablet. Once all footage was gotten I deleted the worst once and use the best ones in the video. Sixth I got the intro and outtro footage. For the intro I went to cp_gorge and place the scout at that location, using commands I moved the camera to third person and with trial and error found an angle I liked. I also use the getang and setang commands to move to the exact same spot. I recorded footage of the scout with 1 cosmetic on, then switched to another, teleported back to the exact spot and recorded the scout again and again. I imported all the footage and went frame-by-frame to make it seem like the scout was spontaneously changing cosmetic. Each clip is the exact same length expert for the one before the list starting. For the outtro I spent a long time on the wiki and searching my memory for places on official maps where the ground is perfectly flat so the scout can run while I record it. I came up with those maps. The same sort of process is at play with editing to make the animation of running blend between clips. This time I used a fade between clips. I used commands to become third-person and have the camera perfectly side-on. It turns out places with nice lighting and perfectly flat ground in TF2 is super rare. Anyways, I recorded a bunch of run cycles with different cosmetics equipped. I didn't want to reuse cosmetics from the intro so by this point I was running out of cosmetics. I don't own THAT many scout-only cosmetics. To get the slow-mo effect I use the host-timesale command. 10% was the speed. Unfortunately the animations glitch out a bit doing the run cycle at slow speed so I had to redo loads of takes until I was lucky enough to get ones without the glitch appearing in the footage. I edited the footage together and the video was complete. To summarize: It was way too time-consuming to make this. It's not worth the month of work I put intro it. Even if this video does incredibly well I'm not going to make another. Sorry.

Wowie this was shockingly bizzare Woudnt you have been able to find instesd of making the background transparent, I assume that the original background was a black square To use and create a small like selection to the side, There were still going to be problems of recording but maybe it would've been easier if instead of tf2 you used Garry's mod? You coulve made the animation of the scout on loop and find from there to easily place and or swap the cosmetics easily. But that would have taken in some way longer, as you had to go to all of the files and then select and even look at the right ones as somehow gmod models of tf2 are far away and are stored depending on the date they were released, I never heard of this program and now I have to for a moment briefly stopped But please remember that ifvypu are doing some help see if there are some people who did something similar or if they can help you Perhaps it would've made even better to just shorten the video Or more comically You could've just added a big black screen add the hat in the middle and the text at the bottom for a quicker and fast paced descriptions I'm sorry if I wasn't this helpful friend as of now

My scout cosmetic set is: Tough stuff muffs (mann co orange paint), Wipe out wraps (mann co orange paint), Long fall loafers. The reason my cosmetic set is orange themed is cuz I saw all the lime scouts and purple scouts and the occasional gold scout who made all their cosmetics one color and I wanted to do that And orange is my second favorite color

That's an all-class hat. This video only covers cosmetics the Scout can use that can't be used by all the other classes. If I end up making more videos like this one there will be a separate episode for all-class cosmetics.
