David just had his second child at 49. If that child has a child at 33 (which is a completely normal age to do so in Britain) he will be 100 when that grandchild is 18.

David is at least a generation or two younger than Lee's Grandad and average first births are much later today than in 1920/30s. This is the passage of time and growth of modern medicine.

But granddad is not even that unrealistic, it's not uncommon for men in their 40s to become fathers. I mean David seemed shocked by it but it might well be the case for his own daughter. I believe victoria was 51 when the daughter was born, so the grandparents could quite well be 80.

patsy is so right. i too was one of the victims of the school swimming lessons. Open air pool in winter, freezing cold weather and water, polystyrene floats, and us poor children forced in there. i can swim and still to this day cannot breathe properly to be any good at swimming. that was over 60 years ago and i will never forget it.

So the betting shop will happily take your money whether they are planning to go out of bussiness or not. There's probably a small print somewhere that says if they go out of bussiness or the apocalypse happens or the pound is considerably devalued or the lilelyhood of the event you predicted increases that the odds drop to nil or whatever that means a bet 100 years in the future is not going to be honoured should xyz circumstance happen.

chocolate varies in quality, any your willing to give to a dog is probably on the lesser end of that scale. that said most of what we eat is some form of poison to us and we stupidly come up with flavours for the stuff we shouldn't be eating.
