Every Railway Crossing on the Belair Line

Filmed 4/1/22
This is a video compiling every road crossing on the Belair line in Adelaide, South Australia. The Belair line travels into the Adelaide Hills and is part of the standard gauge line to Victoria. This line sees 3000 and 3100 class DMU's, it also sees standard gauge freight as well as The Overland passenger service through to Melbourne.
Sorry for the absolute lack of videos, been focusing on school and other things, and also laziness. Hopefully the content should start up again, as I've gotten a burst of motivation to work on this channel.

The Hilda Tce, Hawthorn level crossing is in fact the Sussex Tce, Hawthorn Level Crossing - Hilda Tce does not cross the railway, rather it continues on the eastern side of the railway for 4 or 5 houses.

The crossing at Leader Street, Goodwood (the last one in the video) is the first time I have ever seen those flashing yellow lights before! Do they symbolise a second train coming? If not, what is the purpose for their use?

Correct! It flashes when more than one train is passing.

We actually have four level crossings in New Zealand with SECOND TRAIN COMING signs, Three in Christchurch between the city and the Port of Lyttleton, And one in Wellington in the suburb of Linden. The ones we have are a much older design that have old incandescent bulbs inside, And used to be quite common practically in Canterbury at double tracked level crossings that didn't have barriers for motorists.
